Small, basic room but clean and comfortable. Everything you would need is provided. (Hairdryer, Iron, Iron board, tea, coffee, bathroom items and so on. View of the lake from the room we stayed in. (No'27)

We met my father at the Angel Inn as he was stopping for two nights. His room was very comfortable and clean. He said his breakfasts were very good. We had a Sunday lunch with him which was very tasty. Huge Yorkshire puddings and great servings. Deserts were nice also. We then had a dinner with him the following day.  This also was very tasty. Great choice of food and drinks. Definitely recommend.  Ideally located just up from the lake and in the town. Has its own parking for residents and guests. Not too many spaces.

This was our third time staying here but first time since it was remodelled. We first stayed in 2009 for our honey moon and try get back when we can. It's a very clean modern hotel. Staff were great and professional. The rooms are a good size with everything you need (including a fan) we had breakfast which was really nice. Continental all you can eat and options on the menu for cooked. We will definitely be going back again

Overpriced rooms and lacking the feel of being looked after. The staff were all pleasant, but the processes are all designed to be efficient and in doing so lack a personal touch, almost as though they’re designed for the most limited human interaction possible. Not a good experience. The family room we had was small, very noisy and incredibly expensive, wouldn’t recommend. The food portions were small. Again, the staff were great, but in spite of leadership, not because of, was my reading.

I have stayed at the Angel Inn before back in March 2023, and more recently I have visited just to eat in the restaurant.

You can imagine it bodes well if I have gone back 18 or so months later just for the pleasure of eating.

In 2023, the room we stayed in was very nice, atop some tall stairs in the building across the road that also makes up part of this hotel. We had a nice view of Bowness below and it was clean and well maintained.

The food is really good. Nice breakfasts in the morning. Nice hot medleys of great variety in the evening. The restaurant is really well decorated and has a nice homely feel. You can also drink out on the terraces if the weather allows.

The service is decent and they made our dogs feel comfortable and provided them with a bowl of water. Yes, dogs are welcome to eat here too!

Also, let's not forget where you're staying or eating if you come here... you're in Bowness right on Windermere! The place is absolutely stunning.
