I understand the draw to come and watch the horses get bathed in the sea, but bear in mind it is highly commercialized.  We woke up early and made our way down to watch on a Sunday morning around 630am, and it was filled with guys yelling "want to sit on a horse" and "want a picture with a horse?"  They also ask if you want to "ride" one of the horses, but this is just sitting on one while a guy walks you back and forth in the shallow water for photo / video to be taken.  Overrated in my opinion - if you like horses I'd recommend checking out the races instead.   The actual beach is quite lovely.

Love coming to Barbados on a cruise.  We love hiking to Pebbles Beach.  Beautiful walk. So many beautiful sights along the way. The beach is just stunning.  The color of the water is incredible. We bring out own snorkel gear.  We snorkel out to the spot to see turtles and then on out to a couple of ship wrecks.
And a tradition now is to hit up the local vendor street for hot, fresh caramel popcorn. Great snack. Barbados is  amazing!

Got a cab here from Norwegian cruise. Had a great day on the beach in front of Bali beach club. Chairs and umbrellas very reasonable and beautiful beach and water. Saw a turtle or two and a stingray as well. The Bali beach club bar was convenient to replenish deputy beer and mimosas. Wonderful afternoon. Highly recommend.

Get here around 6am to see the local horses taking a dip in the sea & watch the sunrise.
Alternatively during the day great spot to swim, sunbathe and have a beverage.
Very clean beach and plenty of parking even on weekends.

Excellent for snorkeling! There are plenty of turtles in the water if you swim out deep enough. There are also multiple shipwrecks, anchors, and other things of note with lots of fish around!
