Too bad Yelp doesn't have a NO Star rating, that would be my choice for this deadbeat hotel in North Vancouver. Recently booked a room with a view for our 50th anniversary, what a nightmare this place is. After paying a small fortune for the room, the manager refused to give us free breakfast, that all the other guest enjoyed. On the First night, I slipped in the shower/bath tub because these morons forgot to install grab bars on the wall inside the shower/tub unit. This is a major safety issue for someone 74 years old; we could not shower for the remaining nights during the stay. On the day of our anniversary, I was attacked in the lobby of this sick hotel, by one of their violent guests, directly in front of the hotel receptionist. When I requested that they call the police (RCMP), they refused and did nothing. In all my years as a professional safety engineer, I have never seen such a worn out, dangerous, and useless accommodation. I would not recommend this place to my worst enemy. BTW, there are several other significant hotels at the waterfront in North Vancouver, we will choose one of them next trip.

We woke up to drilling into concrete and banging. There was no way to go back to sleep and it started before 8am. The woman at reception who was not friendly to start with, just ignored the issue.

The Quay hotel has location going for it as a real plus. Lower Lonsdale has always been a pleasant place and in more recent years they've added piers, galleries and even nightlife to the area. Aside from that, you're literally atop the Seabus terminal so you can get to downtown directly and quickly along with the pleasant ride that comes with it. You also have the market below, and though the shops IMO aren't much of a draw, it gives you pretty good food choices. Aside from the pluses above, I believe most or even all of the rooms have a view of the water - and if you're near the back you overlook downtown as well. The rooms themselves are nothing special and don't stand out at all, but they're serviceable. Contrary to what some reviews say, there is in fact a fitness room here, but it is small. It does have a small restaurant and I'd recommend looking into the packages which include breakfast and even 2-1 passes with local attractions as you'll save if you're travelling with at least another person. There's an argument given the prime location of this place that a really nice hotel could open up here and thrive. But as long as the Quay hotel sits here, don't expect much of a fancy stay - you do at least benefit from much better location, convenience and views than comparable 3 star hotels.

If you are looking to stay near downtown Vancouver but can't deal with the hubbub and sounds of city life, staying at Lonsdale Quay Hotel is a nice alternative. The hotel is located at Lonsdale Quay Market which is next to the Lonsdale Quay SeaBus Terminal. A ride on SeaBus gets you to downtown Vancouver in about 15 minutes. Within Lonsdale Quay Market, the hotel is located on the upper level of the market but it does have its own separate entrance as well. The location makes it very convenient to grab a bite to eat and shop at this complex. There is even a brewery downstairs. Walk downstairs to the Lonsdale Quay during sunset and you will find a lovely view of the Vancouver skyline. The room I stayed in didn't really have a view. It was facing the walkway to walk towards the upper streets of North Vancouver. Still the room was very comfy and the hotel room rates were pretty reasonable. This hotel is a nice option if you are seeking a quieter place to stay, but want to be close to the city. North Vancouver is a shorter distance away from Vancouver than staying in other suburbs like Burnaby and Richmond.

I would like to give this hotel a five-star review, and could if we had not visited the Waterfront Restaurant. The room was very spacious, I appreciated the hardwood floors, the bed was comfortable, it was nice to have a mini fridge and microwave and the coffee bar was well stocked. The room had a small deck with a view of the harbor. We got a coupon for $8 off breakfast or lunch for each day of our stay. We decided to have breakfast before we started our trip home. We were told to sit where we liked and we grabbed a table in the atrium. It was very stuffy and we both took off our sweaters and I had to fan myself with a menu. One of the staff noticed, but did nothing about it. One would think they might check the temperature of the room. We waited quite a while as a young woman made several trips to other tables, but did not acknowledge us. Two other staff members were at the counter on their phones. I was just about to suggest we leave and the server came over and asked if we would like anything to drink and we said we would like coffee. She very slowly made her way out of the dining area and slowly came back carrying a tray with two coffees and a cream. She sat them down and turned and walked away. "Why yes....we are ready to order". I grabbed sugar off another table (even though we asked for sugar with the coffee) and she FINALLY came back. She announced that it was her first day. My husband said he wanted an omelette and he let her know the three items he wanted in it. It took her FOREVER to enter it into the tablet. She asked what kind of toast and he said sourdough. I asked for blueberry pancakes and she left. As we are waiting for our meal, the server comes over and puts a breakfast sandwich down in front of my husband. We let her know we did not order that.....and she picked it up and put it on another table. Shortly after, she comes out with an omelette and rye toast. She says the rye toast is sourdough, but guess what......this was not our omelette. She picked it up and took it to another table. Good thing he did not cut into it. She then comes out with blueberry pancakes. Well...pancakes with a few blueberries on top. AND syrup had already been poured on it and no butter. Maybe putting your own syrup on and having butter on your cakes is an American 'thing'. I did not dive in as I think it's rude to start eating when the rest of the table has not been served. After a few minutes, my husband told me to go ahead before my food got cold. I took one bite and had enough. The cakes were dry and you could tell the batter was a cheap box mix. (remember the woman who got the breakfast sandwich?? What do you think her dining partner ordered?? Blueberry pancakes!! They gave ME her blueberry cakes and she was still waiting for hers while her friend was almost finished with her sandwich. But she did not get her cakes until a staff member came to tell her there was a problem with her order) The server never came back to ask how everything was....and I almost got up and walked out as I don't like waiting for a check. But I went to the front desk where the three staff members were and I asked for a check. They never asked how things were so I told them. Sadly, they did not seem to care. So I went to the front desk to let them know how horrid the experience was and luckily, the manager of the restaurant was there. I very politely told her it was one of the worst dining experiences I've ever had. And having waited tables for YEARS, I could not believe the server was not following someone or someone following her. I also let her know that I understand staffing issues right now, but it turned a five star stay into less than that with the horrible service. If you are looking to stay near downtown Vancouver but can't deal with the hubbub and sounds of city life, staying at Lonsdale Quay Hotel is a nice alternative. We were visiting Vancouver to attend a concert at the Orpheum. We took a ride on the SeaBus and we were in downtown Vancouver in about 15 minutes.

I really enjoyed my stay at the Lonsdale Quay and wished I had stayed longer than a day. The location is amazing. You're above the Lonsdale Quay Market (the market is on the 1st and 2nd floors while the hotel is on the 3rd and 4th) which has everything you can imagine: restaurants, desserts, flowers, coffee shops and boutiques. The rooms were clean and comfortable. You are also right on the water with amazing views. While we were there there were two yachts parked right outside. There were a few cons as well. One of them is since this isn't a typical hotel you don't get the amenities like a pool or a gym. Also, parking is confusing at first but you do park in the lot directly under the market and take your ticket up to the front desk to pay for parking there. Overall, I think it's a great value and I would stay again.

I stood here three years ago, or more and today Yelp recommended it to me . It was a sweet reminder and also made me realize I never left a review! I truly love the location since it's right on the water, and there's a cute farmers market downstairs where you can buy anything from fresh soap to fruits and honeys. Like I stated I came here three or more years ago so things may be different now, especially with the pandemic and all but overall when I came it was cute and sweet .

It was hard to rate this hotel as the location is awesome and the market downstairs is amazing. Hotel itself is average, but roomy. Staff was pretty incompetent but very nice. I called after we checked out about an erroneous charge, was transferred from the restaurant to reception who said they would look into it and I never heard back. Called again a day later and got hung up on. I called right back and they told me that the restaurant would have to help me. I gave up because I've wasted my time now and don't want to keep calling when it seems nothing will happen. Location is great and best restaurant is right across the street - Catch 122. One of the best restaurants we have ever been to. Proximity to everything is fabulous. It is hard to find because the market is on the bottom floor. Shipyards have markets, food trucks, music, etc. at certain times. Summer was a perfect time to visit - just make sure your bill is correct before you leave.

I booked thru Expedia which is at times a poor choice as the refund policy's are questionable. room I / Expedia booked turns out to be one that is not accommodating When I called the hotel a very helpful Maria answered. She was so very helpful and reassuring that she would talk to the manager when arrives . So far so good but stay tuned.

Love the location - excellent energy and vibes. Kayla Ng was great at doing her best to give us a nice view! Alas, some issues with the room that were voiced upon checkout: Earwig bug crawling along the bathtub in the AM (photo). Air conditioning unit was super loud.. would randomly rumble on in middle of the night and rattle against the metal, waking us. Long blonde hairs stuck on walls of the bath. Would've mentioned it when we checked in but I'd already asked about the room bed situation (wrong number of beds) and I didn't notice the tub and shower walls until I was in there, sans clothing. Wish they'd been ready to check us in around 1 PM when we arrived. Had to wait over a couple hours for the room to be cleaned.. obviously, it was rushed through. Finally, paid $15 parking for the night. But also a surprise $6 "facilities fee". Asked what for.. said WiFi (since when do guests pay for WiFi?!) and the "gym".. never heard about a gym... Nothing was waived upon check-out when these issues were raised. Overall, overpriced, especially with these extra fees (nearly $25 with tax).
