Vi reserverade ett bord för 17:00 på en onsdag under Dine out Vancouver. Tomteuppsättningen av Harrys översta bord med pallar frågade vi om vi kunde sitta i matsalen eftersom den var helt tom. De sa nej vi frågade andra gången de sa igen nej vi var där i en och en halv timme när vi lämnade det var fortfarande tre eller fyra bord tomma i matsalen. De kunde ha tagit emot oss i matsalen och sedan flyttat oss om de hade behövt vilket de inte skulle ha behövt! En besvikelse över bristen på flexibilitet och fullständig styvhet! Vi kommer inte tillbaka! Priser för ett 4 oz glas vin 17 $! + skatt och dricks! Löjligt! Ät ute inte värt det! Var tvungen att gå hem och äta!

Detta var mitt andra besök. Jag gick med en vän på en lugn januari kväll mitten av veckan för ett glas vin (en orange Chilensk Muscadet) och lite nibbles. Vi delade på sunchokes (med grön gudinnedressing och paprika) , Kentucky - stekt maitake (med fem kryddor, thailändsk basilika, crema fresca) , och crudo (med tonfisk och två andra typer av delikat vit fisk, med vit shoyu och färsk wasabi) . Maten var underbar. Rådoportionerna var små, grönsaksrätterna var generösa. För två av oss hade vi mer än tillräckligt för att äta till en måltid. Servicen var oklanderlig och inredningen var mysig och kändes mer som en mysig arv lounge utrymme du hittar i Montreal, inte Vancouver, vilket gör utrymmet speciellt. 90-talet/början av 2000-talets musikspellista (Pixies, Granddaddy, Belly, etc. ) var på rätt spår.

Denna mysiga bar har en ganska stor, men ändå intim matplats. Menyn är mycket begränsad. Jag beställde den sicilianska Crudo som förrätt och Lammsadeln som huvudrätt. Den sicilianska Crudon hade fina subtila smaker och fisken var färsk. Lammsadeln var en besvikelse. Den hade nästan lika mycket fett som lammkött. Det lilla lammköttet som fanns där var gott, inte bra. Såserna som följde med lammet var ganska goda. Sammantaget maten var ganska genomsnittlig, för en bar som tar ut formella middagspriser. Jag kände att maten var mycket dyr. Det finns många långt överlägsna barer / restauranger än Bar Susu, där priserna är desamma eller lägre, men maten är bättre. Servicen var bra.
