With the cooler season evening approaching, it was time for some grilling. Grilling meat and sharing dishes is all about fun and surrounded by comforting food. We headed to Chosun Korean BBQ Downtown location. For the 4 of us, we shared the kimchi pancake, beef short rib soup, and bulgogi combo large (for 3 people with beef, ribs, spicy pork and chicken). We were full so we ordered the right amount of food. Additional, the assortment of banchan could be refilled many times. Service was fast in the beginning when it was not busy. When it was busier, service slowed down. We were not in a rush, so this was ok for us. Overall, we enjoyed the experience of grilling together and sharing dishes. Food was above average and would come back

Went for late night happy hour and it was good! Cheap beer and wine paired with good deals for set bbq platters. Massive menu and quick service. Nice vibe especially for evenings. Fun sides with your bbq which are refillable! Good kimchi etc. free soft serve treat at the end is a nice touch! Just a little pricy but will go back!

I love when Korean restaurant offers those cute side dishes. Different tasty flavors. The food are good here. Inside it's much bigger than what it looks like store front. I have yet to try their BBQ. Seems like there is a happy hour. Gonna be on my list to try.

First time dining here and 3.5 stars overall. I was delighted they open late and further delighted to discover they have happy hour promo. Service was friendly and nice. Their ambiance here is chilled and it wasn't busy on a weeknight after 10pm. We had sashimi and some appetizers. Since this meal was just for munching, we didn't try any grilling and I would like to visit again and try their bbq menu. This place has been added to my list of decent late night downtown location, by Robson.

Group of 10 wandering Robson and we just happened to find a table here! They have a bunch of different bbq meat combos for different size groups. Adults found the meat flavorful but preferred the unseasoned meats. Kids loved the seasoned meats. Guava soju was a hit. Steamed egg, cold noodles, ox bone soup were all solid. Good assortment of ban chan.

Mediocre food and service. The restrooms were quite dirty. Wouldn't come back here since there's other Korean bbq options in Vancouver

As a long time fan of the one on Kingsway, I was thrilled to find out that Chosun opened their second location downtown. Now I can enjoy a nice Korean BBQ downtown (not that there are no other nearby but it's good when a solid competitor opens up). They have many good dishes in addition to their BBQ. Also of note is that they have a special lunch combo menu that is reasonably priced. If it's the same timing as the Kingsway location, this combo menu is only available before 3 on weekdays.
