Our second time staying here. No problems and located near the bay downtown. The underground parking is always a challenge if you have a big vehicle but a little patience goes a long way. An enjoyable and relatively safe stay.

Everything. This place is a dump with fairly comfy beds (we saw no bed bugs) and a good location. I would not recommend.

Not what it used to be last year. Carpet in lobby still dirty and so old. And my room had spiders I got bit 5 times in my bed. Why? The sheets were fresh I hope but I flew back to my home with bites on my legs and arms. Suggesting the department of health look into this place. The stench of pine sol was intoxicating in the rooms. I went out and got a bottle of fabreez to over come the smell. Now I know there hiding something in this building it's investigating of bugs from the Greek restaurant on the lower level of the building. So sad the owners have let it go so bad to a SRO building. I will never stay there again. It was a great building one year ago now it's a dump house. The only thing that was great was the girls on the house keeping staff. They were embarrassed when I told them what happened. So that's it DO NOT Stay there. I now have to see my Dr tomorrow for the flea and spiders bites.

We loved this hotel! Saw the reviews and was hesitant. We did not need fancy but safe, clean and convenient. Yes it is old, old, old! The hallway to our room had an old building smell But the room was fine. We were able to walk around after dark and the street was bustling and safe. Many, many food options. Drug store, supermarket and dollarama very close. Short walk to beach and start of Stanley park. Would definitely stay there again.

The place is conveniently located near lots of ethnic restaurants but the hotel itself is a dump! Carpets disgustingly dirty. Elevator quite sketch and scary - when it even worked! Still has kitchen from the 50's. Not even a toilet paper holder in the bathroom!!! Would NEVER stay there again.

This hotel is suitable if you want anything under $250 night stay in this town in this hyper inflated climate $$$. But understand it is no frills old 70s hotel . Everything is old and outdated but it has air conditioning, working washroom a flat screen tv . and decent enough beds . Note the separate rooms may get warm in the summer as there is just one small window A/C unit in the living room area. But ther e is a fan in each room . We stayed to watch the Celebration of Light fireworks because one can't beat the location they have right across English Bay . The staff were all very nice and there is free Van Houten coffee near the lobby area . There is underground parking below for $15 . And they let us stay parked there even fora. Few more hours after checkout to checkout the neighbourhood . If you plan to park it is best to park your car in the alleyway just south of the building which will get you in the parkade ramp that descends down. I would T recommend the parking if you have a big vehicle as the ramp is a bit steep . And it's a full 90 turn into the gate at the bottoms of the ramp . Limited space . If you are squeamish certain hotel comfort quality this may not be the place for you to stay . But if you just want a place to sleep and rest to keep a under budget it is a decent compromise

BEDBUGS!!!! Need I say more?! Stayed 2 nights. 1st night, bitten badly. Didn't get housekeeping service, so moved rooms. 2nd night, different room, even more bites....didn't think that was possible!!! Save your skin and the gross factor....just don't go here.

Booked a visit to accommodate an additional guest who decided to join us at a concert in Vancouver. The concert got cancelled the day before, and I expected that 24 hours would be sufficient to receive at least a partial refund. Nope. My bad for not reading the details on the booking. The 1-star review is for the person at the hotel who chuckled mightily at my question about whether there was partial refunds due to COVID.

We didn't want to spent too much on hotels on our vacation in Vancouver so we decided to go with this hotel and it seemed like a decent choice. This is a budget hotel, so there are no luxuries, just the basics. We had the double room and our room was on 3rd floor on the back side. The parking is $10 +tax a day. There is a coffee machine and hot chocolate free for clients in the lobby. For breakfast you have waffle, bread and butter. PROS: - Location...awesome! across from English Bay beach, close to all kinds of restaurants, close to bus stop and few minutes walk to nearest SkyTrain station, close to Stanley Park, 10 minutes to GasTown etc - Comfortable bed and pillows. - good shower - Fast checkin. - Free fast Internet CONS: - very dated, hotel smells like Goodwill - construction on the building next to the hotel from around 7am to 4pmish.

I didn't expect much but was pleasantly surprised. The bed was comfy, the view was very nice and the kitchen was an actual kitchen with a full sized fridge, stove and microwave. The neighborhood was fun too. Lots of low-cost international eateries and a few fancy ones. It was noisy from the people in those places but quieted down by 11 or so. The nearby beach and park are fun too. Don't expect anything fancy or really modern. But it was good for the price. The staffers were nice too.
