We flew from Vancouver to Seattle with Harbour Air on Thursday, July 10. There were only two other passengers aboard the 9-seater plane so felt uncrowded and relaxed. We had to wear a flotation device plus a seatbelt, and that was all bulky and uncomfortable. But you can't beat a view of islands dotting the sea and the trip was lovely. After only 55 minutes we landed at Kenmore Air on Lake Union where we had to deal with US Immigration. This was surprisingly and pleasantly brief, being asked minimal questions by a friendly agent and we were on our way. At the Harbour Air terminal at Canada Place in Vancouver, there is ample seating with waterfront views and free coffee or tea. No food items or snacks are provided, unlike at Helijet, which generously provides things like mini bagels and lots of other options. It was quite a long walk out to the plane but we were given pre-boarding and assisted onto the plane, which I very much appreciated due to being somewhat unsteady on my feet. Thank you, Alex! I paid $400 for two one-way tickets and feel it was money well spent. We got to Seattle quickly, comfortably and hassle-free. Exactly what we hoped for. Thank you, Harbour Air!

Harbour Air provided one of the most unique, fun flights I have ever taken in my lifetime. For context, I did a round trip from Vancouver Harbour (Downtown) up to Powell River and back. On both occasions, the flights were on time, and safety is taken very seriously where make all passengers wear a flotation device while onboard. I even got to sit in the front seat right next to the pilot while coming back to Vancouver from Powell River - the pilot even took the time to chat with me while he was flying the plane over where I was from, how my day was going, and so on. A really nice touch that made my trip to BC more special. The views are absolutely stunning no matter where you fly on Harbour Air. Make sure to take pictures - LOTS of them - as if you are a visitor here, this will almost certainly be one of your only seaplane flights you will have ever taken during your lifetime. Be mindful that the planes can get pretty loud, so if this bothers you, you can use earplugs that they provide in the seat packet in front of you. It's natural to feel nervous over taking a seaplane versus a regular flight, and believe me, I was slightly nervous at first too, but the moment we lifted off from the water and landed on it too, I felt nothing but pure joy. Harbour Air is the way to go!

Loved this seaplane adventure. Beautiful aerial view of Vancouver. Smooth takeoff and landing. Always wanted to ride in a seaplane. Enjoyed the experience very much. Highly recommend.

Worst experience ever the cancellation policy is ridiculous. Made a reservation 4 days prior we requested a cancel due to weather they want to charge $50 per person per way if cancel within 72 hrs. So we would lose $200 of our $400 fair! Really bad customer service waited 40 minutes on-line to get a representative. Do not book unless you absolutely need to go!

First time in a seaplane and highly recommend! Breathtaking views! Very nice captain who had my husband be co pilot :) Smooth take off and landing. We bought our tickets the day before but I do believe they sell out. It was a 35 minute flight and I think it was worth it! Check the forecast if you are there a few days in case of fog. Highly highly recommend this experience

Beware of weather -- major waste of time. Woke up at 6am on a Saturday to go to my flight to Seattle. Was pretty excited. The weather was cloudy but I arrived for check in and they didn't give me any sense of any problem. But then they kept saying it was delayed and delayed. After 3 hours of waiting they announced it was canceled. Then they make you wait in line again to get a refund. Now I can't get to Seattle - no more trains available today. And I have a hotel reservation $$ that I'm probably gonna have to eat. I'm glad they don't take off if they think it's dangerous. But at the same time they could've just canceled it before departure time -- the weather is the same as it was at 6am this morning. Instead of hours later.

The seaplane flight from Victoria to Vancouver was one of the highlights of my B.C. trip! Harbour Air was great - very informative, timely, and accommodating. My friend and I didn't have a lot of information about what was going on, because we'd booked our tickets through a tour company, and it was our first time on a seaplane. The staff members we interacted with were helpful and friendly. One thing to note is that there is a small baggage fee for even small, carry-on size bags (backpacks should be fine if they don't weigh too much). The flight itself was EPIC. We happened to be the first people on the plane, and the pilot told us that since the flight was full, one of us would have to sit in the cockpit. My friend wanted to do it, and afterward she told me it was the coolest experience of her life. She even got to listen to air traffic control. I was content to sit in a normal seat because I was slightly more nervous for our safety on such a small plane, but I loved imagining I was on a pre-9/11 flight (basically no security or hassle). The water landing and takeoff were smooth, and everything felt very safe. The views were unreal!! I recommend this to everyone traveling between Victoria and Vancouver. It only takes 30-45 minutes and is a fun, novel experience.

What a wonderful experience we had with Harbour Air! They were on time, the little airport harbors are delightful, and the staff are all wonderful. We flew from Vancouver to Victoria for a day trip. On the way to Victoria, the pilot chose me to sit up front with him! I was allowed to wear the headset and listen to the local air traffic controller. Very cool experience. They fly at 1000 ft, so it was a very smooth flight. The views from the plane were gorgeous. Take off and landing on the water was smooth and fun. The plane ride back from Victoria was equally lovely while sitting in the passenger area of the plane. I highly recommend Harbour Air if you only have a day trip from Vancouver to Victoria. The flight takes 35 minutes, versus a 1.5 hour ferry ride. It's well worth the cost.

Harbour Air is such a great, convenient option for getting from Vancouver to Victoria! You don't need to show up too early and they have cheaper fares if you don't need to take a lot of luggage with you. Great for a weekend getaway! #ContestEntry
