First time trying this place, but I regret it. Ordered from fantuan - although it says 40% off, they raised the price of their original menu so it is less than 40%. When it came, the food shocked me. This is the saddest sashimi don I have seen in my life. The rice should be covered with sashimi but there were only six pieces. This is originally $18???? The bento box was ok except for they really gave me less meat. If you compare my photo with previous bento boxes from here, you can see they gave me less than half of what they gave to others. The taste was very mediocre. The tempura of course came soggy because they didn't put it in a separate container with breathing holes. The miso soup came at half the level of the container as well. I am shocked. They skimped on a cheap item as well. It seems like they are just giving customers (or at least me) half, or less, of what they used to if I compare the pictures. It is quite a shame, especially when their prices are more expensive than other sushi places. Needless to say, even 40% is not even worth it.

The service was terrible, today at McArthur Glen Outlet mall I was with a group of my friends and we had split opinions on what to eat. I ordered from both Japadog and the Kitchen and my friends ordered hotdogs. Not only did workers make my friend who had an injured leg stand and eat off their property but they even told me not to bring the food on their patio (a paying customer mind you). On top of that, the overall service was terrible and when we went to pay they added a 12% tip without even telling us.

Customer service was 5 stars but in terms of food unfortunately it's okay in terms of appetizers. Meanwhile I only tried appetizers. So I can't say for the whole menu. The atmosphere was also 5 stars. Also hope they change the soya sauce. Doesn't taste like the ones from sushi places. So it was a bit disappointing. Hopefully they change the soya sauce soon. Otherwise the servers are very nice.

Came here with 4 other colleagues and we all ordered pretty much different items on the menu. The restaurant is clean and trendy. It had the Japan feel and look. You walk in and you know right away its a Japanese restaurant. We got a seat in on of those hidden away booths. I ordered the bento box A with beef. The bento box came with: Tempura, Salad, Miso Soup, Teriyaki beef, California roll, gomae and a piece of Inari. The food was delicious. Price was reasonable. $12.50 for a bento box is pretty good. Food was freshly made. Our server was friendly. I highly recommend coming here.

Recently ordered their bento for take out and it just hit the spot for my Japanese craving! I ordered the fried combo bento and the sushi combo. The fried combo included a pieces of fried white fish, fried croquette, chicken kaarage and some marriage roots and steamed and. veggies. While the sushi combo included a salmon nigiri , tuna nigiri, Ebi nigiri and a choice of California or yam roll. Each bento had just enough portion for lunch but for dinner I would recommen ordeeh

This is a mediocre Japanese spot in the downtown area, near Pacific Place. High points from our experience included the friendly and attentive staff, and the enclosed private room-style seating (which my group happened into accidentally, but which I think can also be reserved if you call ahead?). If you're thinking about the nigiri, best to go with the cheaper rolls, like the salmon, which hover in the $2.50-3.00 range, and are perfectly fine. I selected one of those and also splashed out on a piece of market price spot prawn which ended up being watery, slightly fishy, unappetizing, and grossly overpriced at $6. We also ordered some veggie gyoza, which had a freezer/fridge aftertaste and contained slightly crunchy, under cooked veggies. I am a gyoza fiend, but I had a hard time getting through these. The tempura veggies were the best part of the meal (particularly the kabocha), but still fairly unexceptional. In a city with so many incredible Japanese options, save your pennies and your appetite for another establishment.

My sister and I went here for a dinner. We were sick of eating junk food and Japanese food seemed like best idea. So we went to Ryuu to eat some sushi and good thing they offered Happy Hour around 5PM. We ordered Ika Karaage ($4) and Sushi Combo ($16) and the food was great. They were all delicious. Besides it was authentic Japanese food. We got our tea refill from the waitress as well. I really liked Ika Karaage since I haven't had this in ages. Two thumbs up

Rynn Japanese Restaurant is located on Seymour St. Nearby Robson St. The location is easy to find, but it's not easy to park. We haven't been tried the new restaurant for a long time since the beginning of this year. After work, my fiance and I walked on the Seymour St. We found the restaurant, call Rynn Japanese Kitchen. We decided to give this place a try. Environment: Since we arrived at this restaurant around 6 pm, right at dinner time, this place was busy. Lots of people were dining out here. Luckily, we had a table and sat down to begin our food Journey. Inside the restaurant has lots of space, is the Asian style setting. Nice and Clean. Service: After we sat down, our server brought the water and menu to the table. I believe our server is Korean. She is very nice and friendly. She gave us a good suggestion for food. Food: We ordered Dinner Bento $24, which includes 4 kinds assorted sashimi, 3 kinds assorted sushi, California roll, assorted tempura, chicken karaage, serve with miso soup. We choose the beef teriyaki and sunomonto with the bento. The miso soup is hot and fresh. Sunomonto is cold and tasty. We ordered Gomaae $5.5. It's a seasonal vegetable with sesame sauce. The taste of this dish is a little bit different from other restaurants. The taste is OK, but the vegetable is not very fresh. Takayaki $5.5 Octopus Balls. It's hot and delicious. Beef Tataki $12 Onion, House Ponzu Sauce. Price: The price of the food is a little bit expensive. Especially, the beef Tataki, only a few pieces of beef and it cost $12. Gomaae, old vegetable $5.5. In summary, this restaurant is OK to have a try. But, the food is not very great. It's a very price.

Came here on a weekday around 12:00 PM. Only a handful of tables were occupied so I was brought to a table right away and tea was given. I didn't notice Ryuu Japanese Kitchen is part of the Neptune Restaurant Group until I saw the name printed on the napkin. The staff are Japanese, but ultimately owned by a Chinese corporation. I ordered the chef's daily special lunch set ($18). I was quite excited to see what I would get for lunch. The complimentary miso soup was hot when it arrived, but it was nothing special. It tasted like every miso soup given at other japanese restaurants. The chef's daily special lunch came about 10 minutes later. It had a total 10 dishes, including a bowl of rice. There was a small side of mashed potatoes with corn and carrots, a piece of grilled mackerel, Ika karrage, chicken karrage, agadeshi tofu, takoyaki, beef with enoki mushrooms, seasoned chicken, as well as wild salmon and tuna sashimi. The mashed potatoes with corn and carrots was seasoned with black pepper so it was like an asian fusion. I thought it was a little dry but that could be what it was supposed to be. The wild salmon and tuna sashimi were not as fresh as I expected them to be because flavour was lacking. I didn't enjoy the agadeshi tofu at all. Texture was rough and the skin was soggy. The ika karagge was soggy as well so it definitely weren't made fresh. The takoyaki was a typical takoyaki, moist batter with pieces of tako inside. I liked the chicken karagge because it was not heavily battered. It was also quite tender and juicy. I enjoyed the grilled mackerel because it wasn't dry at all. The first few bites were excellent but it got too salty as I kept eating. The enoki mushrooms wrapped in sliced beef was also a little too salty and heavily sauced but the beef was delicious. I was extremely thirsty after my meal even though I didn't feel it at the time. I was expecting the lunch set to have dishes that used fresh ingredients, rather than pre-made food. Service wasn't exceptional but it was sort of there. Server came by to check up on us, but she didn't make eye contact at all. While I was answering her, she was already rushing to somewhere else. It was evident that she didn't really care. Tea was filled but very rushed. Overall, I was a little disappointed at their customer service and food was okay.
