When I went to the Super Thai Food truck, the only item available was the Paid Thai chicken. It was made exceptionally quickly, but that might be a result of me going to the food truck later in the evening when not a lot of people were around. The food was tasty, although I found the portion a little bit smaller than I had hoped.

I had the Pad Thai when the truck was at Sunset Beach. It's a fast food-style pad thai with a very sweet (but also tangy and flavourful) sauce, but that's what I expected and wanted, and I thought it was pretty good. It wasn't too oily and had the right balance between noodles, protein, and sprouts. They had a pretty impressive condiment stand that included pickled chilies, chopped peanuts, chopped cashews, sriracha, and chili flakes. Although they're not a traditional topping for pad thai, I added the pickled chilies to mine and that was delicious. The pad thai costs $15 (regardless of what protein you get), which is pretty typical. Even though I got it without any added protein besides the tofu and egg, I didn't feel shorted on quantity. I was pretty hungry and this satiated me. One star off mainly because they had a really limited menu when I was there - just the chicken pad thai and one other chicken curry. It was towards the end of the day at a big event so it's possible they just ran out.

They catered an event at our plant and served 125 of our employees. They were fast and organized! Food was so good. Our staff couldn't stop talking about how good everything was and was beyond their expectations. Portions were big and our guys were full!

As I Thai person, I can guarantee that you can get the best Pad Thai in town from Super Thai Food Truck! Also, the owner (Chu Chu) is the coolest one!

Got the chicken Pad Thai. It tasted very salty, without much other flavour, and all the noodles stuck together in clumps, making the texture kind of gross. There is raw cabbage at the bottom of the container, which is a bit odd. There was one piece of chicken and three mini cubes of tofu in my pad Thai. I ate the veggies and chicken/tofu then threw out the noodles.

I must have eaten here on a good day because the Pad Thai hit the spot. Super Thai food truck is usually downtown, but they planned to park amongst office buildings in Burnaby last week so I gave them a chance. The line up was incredibly long considering it was the only food truck in the area so I had to wait 20 mins in line and for them to cook my food. I ordered the Pad Thai and I wasn't in the mood for spice so the flavors were exactly what I wanted. Coconut milk, peanut carbs. My coworker felt it needed a little more heat though. My plate was loaded with a lot of chicken and tofu as well. It was $9 well spent.

When it comes to Thai food, pad Thai is the measuring stick to judge all kitchens by. So of course that's what I tried when I visited this food truck for the first time. My order was made fresh and was very flavorful. It was more spicy than sweet. In fact I've never had spicy pad Thai anywhere so this was unexpected. For my average palate it was too much heat so I didn't enjoy it fully. I also found the portion size lacking. For $10 it could have been more filling. After all, rice noodles are dirt cheap. And there wasn't much chicken either. If you like medium spice, this is for you. Personally, I doubt I'll be back for more.

//OVERALL THOUGHTS// Huge portions to fill you up and their curry's flavours & spiciness were pretty good! I would be skeptical of the quality and authenticity of their food though. //THE FOOD// For $10, you can get a huge serving of food. I ordered their red curry which came with squash, huge veggie chunks of cauliflower, zucchini, and green beans (which were undercooked), and some chicken bits. The curry had a very mild spiciness and it was on the sweeter side (a lot of coconut milk I presume). The rice was cooked to be very mushy which some people might not like, but I actually found it soaked up the sauce quite nicely. NOW, this would've been a 3-star rating if it were not the fact that my friend (who ordered the green curry, which was a lot spicier than the red curry I might add), found a strand of hair in her food. EEK.

* "Super" Mediocre Thai * Yes, Vancouver has a severe lack of good Thai food. This food truck continues that trend sadly. Ordered up the pad krapao gai ($8.50) and had about a 35 minute wait after being told it would be 8 minutes! So much for quick convenient street food! The dish itself was lacking basil. Almost none, and it was not Thai basil. It was sweet basil. The chilies were replaced with bell peppers. Ugh. The sauce had none of the balance you would expect in a good Thai preparation.
