We were looking for New Years celebration place and I found this one online. Pictures looked good and it seem to be very classy.
Stuff was very friendly and even though it took long time between the dishes (it was prefix) I didn’t mind it. I took the star off because we got out Champaign after midnight and that was very disappointing. Also the desert had actual mushrooms in it which is way too weird and unpleasant to eat. I love mushrooms in almost any form and any dish except for the desert!
Overall it was a nice experience and the restaurant is an old school French establishment which one can appreciate.

We visited Le Saint-Amour in Quebec City to celebrate my wife’s birthday on August 20, and overall, it was a wonderful experience. The quality of the food was outstanding, with each dish beautifully prepared and full of flavor. The restaurant’s decor is elegant and charming, creating a perfect atmosphere for a special occasion.

The service was top-notch from start to finish. Our main waiter was attentive and professional, and the staff who brought and explained each course and cocktail were knowledgeable and added a special touch to the evening. Their detailed explanations enhanced our appreciation of the meal.

The only hiccup was that I had noted in the reservation that it was my wife’s birthday, and I was hoping for a small acknowledgment or greeting from the staff. Unfortunately, that detail seems to have been missed, and her birthday went unmentioned, which was a bit disappointing.

Despite this, Le Saint-Amour delivered an exceptional dining experience, and I would still highly recommend it for anyone looking for a memorable meal in Quebec City.

Simply the Best restaurant in Quebec City. Convenient location in the heart of Old Town. Perfect place for any special occasion birthday or anniversary date.
The 7 course French tasting menu is superb and offers the best of local meats and fruits. The preparation is exquisite and so delicious. Small portions are just right. Knowledgeable and friendly staff. The main dining room is beautifully decorated like Belle Epoque Paris. With wine, tax (15% in Canada ! ) and tip we spent $535 Canadian which is only about $387 US dollars total for 2 people. Well worth it for such a memorable dinner.

Best restaurant in Quebec hands down. Not going to lie, wish there were a bit more accommodating for my requests (spouses's birthday)  especially since I made a reservation ahead of time, but I'm glad I stayed for my dinner. Not a single complaint for any of the dishes we ordered. Everything was perfect. Thank you for an exceptional dinner.

Since I was alone they sat me in another room, with no one, no music, I could hear the noice from the dishwasher, full of light, zero atmosphere and next to the kitchen, as you can see in the video. In the room with all other customers there were several tables available.
I felt like I was an employee eating after a shift.
I had a dessert and the taste was not good, the chocolate was too bitter and the ice cream tasted weird.

Vi satt och presenterade för vår servitör som sedan lämnade och i princip ignorerade oss i över 20 minuter för att chatta med andra matgäster och undvek oss, vilket inte var en imponerande start men när vi hittade någon annan att ta hand om oss saker och ting förbättrades. Maten var fantastisk. Vi valde från al la carte-menyn och varje rätt vi hade var utsökt med ett bra vinval. Restaurangen är elegant och detta var definitivt fine dining.

Härlig meny, atmosfär och Service! Vi hade 7 - rätters avsmakningsmeny. Även om det var dyrt, var detta en gång - i - en - livstidsupplevelse att njuta av high - end, fantasifulla kulinariska skapelser. Varje rätt var en fröjd för sinnena, vackert tillagad och presenterad och smakade helt utsökt! Vår server hade härliga förslag på vinparningar med våra olika kurser. Vi har ätit på Restaurant Le Saint - Amour varje gång vi har besökt Québec. Atmosfären är mycket elegant, men också varm och Välkomnande. Det var en förväxling på vår bokning datum, och de nådigt satt oss. Vi är inte avsmakning meny matgäster men det fanns ett bra urval av varmrätter. Hade vi varit mer äventyrliga såg smaksakerna fantastiska ut, men våra val från huvudmenyn var utmärkta i smak och presentation. Vår servitör och server var vänliga och kunniga.

Enastående restaurang - personalen var anspråkslös och exceptionell och hanterade gluten och mejerifria allergier var sublim lätt. Inklusive en mjölkfri brioche som var det bästa gluten- och mjölkfria brödet som någonsin smakat på 20 år! Maten var fantastisk i vackra omgivningar och vinrekommendationerna var fantastiska. Det var också mycket bättre värde än några av de andra starkt rekommenderade ställen i närheten.

Var är alternativet för sex stjärnor? Den bästa brynt gåslever jag någonsin ätit. Jag åt Lamb och min man fileade mignon till huvudrätt. Båda var absolut top notch, saftiga och förberedda perfekt. Servicen var exemplarisk. Vilken underbar kväll.

Underbar måltid från början till slut. Vi provade avsmakningsmenyn och blev inte besvikna på någon av rätterna som var kreativa och goda. Servicen var enastående. Som grädde på moset, den stora matsalen som ligger i ett slutet atrium med klassisk inredning gav en lugn atmosfär för att komplettera vår måltid. Definitivt värt ett besök och jag är inte förvånad över att denna exceptionella restaurang har behållit sitt utmärkta rykte i årtionden!

Sällan har jag upplevt en restaurang dra av service och mat till 60 + personer som var så bra gjort som detta. Kvalitet aptitretare, utmärkt val av huvudrätt och flödande vinservice. Ditt team gjorde ett enastående jobb. Min biff var perfekt!

Jag kan inte säga nog om värmen och gästfriheten i denna charmiga restaurang. Som besökare i ett turistmecka, kan man tänka sig raka motsatsen när gästerna är osannolikt att återvända någon gång snart eller någonsin. När jag kom från Kalifornien för att träffa vår son, dotter - in - law och barnbarn för att fira min mans 70-årsdag, var jag inte optimistisk när jag bestämde mig för att hitta en exceptionell matupplevelse där ett spädbarn inte skulle vara ett problem. Mitt första val var Le Saint Amour och jag angav min begäran när du lägger upp min bokning. Till min förvåning fick jag ett samtal från den mycket älskvärda Pierre som erbjöd sig att sitta oss där vi inte skulle störa andra gäster. Mirakulöst nog njöt vi av en utsökt måltid, inklusive utmärkta viner, och gudomlig foie gras, filet mignon och lamm. Jag kunde inte ha bett om mer!

Service mycket långsam maten presenterades vacker som ett konstverk maten ser bättre ut än den smakar bläckfisken kom ut mycket sällsynt också gjorde lammet jag förstår när det är sällsynt det är mer mört. Men dessa två rätter kom ut råa hummer bisque hade en lätt fiskig smak atmosfären är härlig

Maten på gatan. Amour är bortom min förmåga att kritisera. Jag ska inte försöka. Servitörens beskrivningar ensam var underbar. Vi reste till Quebec City på en busstur på julmarknaden. Vår sommelier var förtjusande och gav oss ett perfekt vin som paras härligt med lamm och ravioli. Servicepersonalen var förstklassig och var mycket uppmärksam. Vi kände oss mycket speciell. Det enda negativa var raviolin kunde ha varit lite varmare men annars en utmärkt kväll.

Det var långt över våra förväntningar. Servicen var långsam och maten var inte så bra. Jag åt hummerravioli som var ok och min man hade ett lamm som var riktigt dåligt. Och de serverar bara hälften glas för mousserande vin vilket är ovanligt. Servitrisen vägrade att ta kort på oss. Vi hade en dålig upplevelse och kände slöseri med tid och pengar, vi har ingen anledning att gå tillbaka igen.

Vi gjorde sista - minut reservationer och kunde inte sitta i den föredragna delen av restaurangen, så vi fick utsikt över gatan i stället. Vi beställde båda ett glas vin, och servern verkade förbryllad över varför min fru valde vitt medan jag valde rött. Servern gjorde också narr av min frus accent när hon beställde biff. Ingen bra början. Vi serverades en road - bouche, som var utsökt, tillsammans med bröd. Brödet var utmärkt! Våra filet mignons anlände, och de var utsökta. Vår server gick förbi och märkte att mitt vinglas var tomt men erbjöd aldrig påfyllning. Till efterrätt åt vi crème brûlée med marshmallows. Sammantaget var det en god middag, men matupplevelsen var medelmåttig. Det kunde ha varit bättre.
