I was very impress , the food was top notch, the Dishes was prepared with perfection! We ordered the sable fish and duck breast and wow how good it was especially the duck breast, it was very juicy and tender. We order the 3 course meal with appetizers , main and dessert for around $65 and all 3 was delicious . I definitely will come back again!

Wow.  Why does this place make you want to take pics of everything from the tables, the salt and pepper shakers, the drinks, the food??  I took a bunch of pics only to come on here and see so many other pics and great comments.  I have lived in the area for over 20 years, and finally made it to Absinthe for dinner this past week.  My partner and I were invited by friends who wanted to express their gratitude for dog-sitting, so Absinthe wasn't even my choice...regretfully.

Anyhow, this establishment was impressive from any angle!!  Setting, ambience, lighting, furniture.  Oh yes, and food and drink of course.  Anyone who pays attention to details, everything on the eyes were a pure treat!

The food was incredible!!  All of it!! The cocktail, the bread(!) and seasoned butter, the first course, the main course and the dessert.  And the wine!  OMG!  I so highly recommend this place.  And for all you get, the price point is very fair!  Set limited menu of 2 courses for $58 and 3 courses for $65.  Don't skip their desserts!!

Went for our anniversary to try Absinthe drip and had a lovely time! Everything on the limited menu is absolutely delicious with an intimate atmosphere. We would definitely come back!

Highly recommend this French cuisine!!!

We were here for my birthday celebration. Every dish is beyond our expectations! The bread is warm and with creamy butter, French onion soup is a must try, the scallop is cooked to perfection and the duck leg vanished into my boyfriend’s  stomach within 3 min since it’s too good! The dark chocolate lava cake is not too sweet, paired with homemade black current ice cream make it fresh!

Love the quiet and calm vibes. Service is excellent. I’ll rate it a 10/10😍

I didn’t know what to expect when I chose to come here, but I knew that if they had a rotating, limited menu, the chef would have to know what they are doing. And did they ever!

For $65 per person, this place is so fairly priced. We ordered one of each thing on the menu that night and everything was PERFECT. This is one of my favorite restaurants in Vancouver now, and for anyone that loves French food, you gotta come here. I’ve been making sure to visit here every time I’m in town now and it’s been spectacular every time! The waitress is also absolutely delightful, can’t wait to come back.

Det är ett nöje att skicka in en annan recension av Absinthe Bistro. Även om vi bor ute i förorterna, är detta alltid vårt val när vi underhåller vänner och familj. Vi har ätit här regelbundet och det har alltid varit fantastiskt gott. Den mycket begränsade menyn innebär att kocken kan förbereda varje rätt till perfektion. Vid vårt senaste besök valde jag till exempel gazpachosoppan som förrätt. Intressant nog gjordes detta med gurka (inga tomater) och rökt stålöring. Balansen mellan smakerna var subtil och kreativ. Som huvudrätt är pilgrimsmusslorna ofta mitt val eftersom jag aldrig upplevt någon restaurang som kan laga dem bättre; och återigen blev jag inte besviken! Många restauranger idag serverar potatis "staplar" med en huvudrätt; på Absinthe dessa var perfekt förberedda - lite krispig på utsidan och smidig och väl - tillagad på insidan. Förutom den underbara maten har restaurangen en mysig atmosfär, ett bra urval av vin och vänlig service. Det är verkligen en kulinarisk pärla, och förtjänar sin plats bland Vancouvers topp 20 restauranger.

Vi hade en alltigenom trevlig kväll på Absinthe. Vi har inte varit på ett tag och hade glömt hur god maten är. Med bra service (vår middag levererades av kocken! ) och en lugn fransk atmosfär, det gjorde för en stor matupplevelse.

Detta är en fantastisk fransk bistro. Vi hälsade på efter operan. Menyn Påminner mig om Strasbourg. Utmärkt, vi hade anka och fläsk som förrätt, en betgespacho och sniglar som förrätt, riktigt bra! Allt var väl utfört och bonus champagne vid glaset var underbart, ovanligt för en så liten restaurang. De var ganska upptagna för en söndag, men några bord var fortfarande tillgängliga. Boka bord genom att ringa. Det är inte i stadens centrum, men ca 15 minuter bort och väl värt resan!

Allt med denna bistro var roligt. Tillfället var övergångar från skola till jobb och vi letade efter en bra plats för en festmiddag. Vi är en flergenerationsgrupp. Vi njöt av våra absintcocktails. En av våra fyra sällskap är vegetarian, och den speciella middag som erbjöds henne var rik och härlig. Vi hade alla olika förrätter, och var alla glada. Menyn är begränsad, men alla alternativ är mycket tilltalande. Detta var en utsökt middag som vi alla älskade. Det representerade utmärkt värde för dollarn. Jag kan inte vänta med att komma tillbaka!

Vi åkte för att fira min frus födelsedag och åt en fantastisk måltid. Huvudrätter var pilgrimsmusslor och lamm och båda var läckra. Förrätter och öknar vattnades i munnen. Servicen var utmärkt. Stämningen var mycket avslappnad. Detta är en dold pärla.

Alltid en ny och härlig meny. Alltid värt resan. Rimliga priser och bra service. Kocken är utmärkt och jag är alltid glad att se vad som finns på den roterande menyn. Rekommenderas starkt.

Vi fyra hade en riktigt trevlig middag. Vi reserverade i förväg. Det finns en liten täckt uteplats som vetter mot Commercial drive. Du har begränsade à la carte-val, som kocken kommer att ändra upp och använda sin kreativitet. Vi njöt av froie gras, sallad, pilgrimsmusslor, biff alternativ. Bra värde för en måltid. Vänlig service. Absintdrycker förstås.

Min fru och jag anlände på en lördag kväll utan bokning och hade tur på grund av en reservation ingen show. Kammusslor var perfekt kokta. Vår server som också är ägare tillät oss att njuta av vin i det glas som vanligtvis säljs av flaskan. Efterrätten och cappuccino var en fin finish på en härlig upplevelse.

Det är inte ofta jag skriver recensioner - särskilt positiva, men denna restaurang behövde nämnas som den bästa maten i Vancouver! Vi reste till denna restaurang och hade den mest fantastiska franska maten. Vi försökte alla rätter och de var alla fantastiska på sitt sätt, tjänsten av de två ägarna var en utmärkt. Anka klapp, kammusslor, lammsken, biff, creme brulee, bläckfisk och lavakakan var alla spektakulära. Tre rätters måltid alla för $ 49! ! ! ! Vi kommer definitivt tillbaka på vår resa nästa år (till och med två gånger). Kan inte sluta tänka på den här platsen och kommer från Australien vi kommer att återvända nästa år (vi kan knappt vänta)!

Jag är så glad att vi hittade denna härliga bistro. Det kändes lite som att vara i Frankrike. Det var förmodligen den bästa maten jag har ätit sedan vi var i regionen tidigare i höst och mycket prisvärda också.

Gick till denna restaurang, begär franska köket. Soppan var utmärkt, liksom lammets huvudrätt. Detta är en mycket liten anspråkslös restaurang med en begränsad meny, men vad de serverade var förtjusande. Jag skulle gå tillbaka när jag är i Vancouver igen

Svårt att beskriva den utsökta maten! Jag bjöd in några vänner och hade den bästa Duck Leg-confit, min vän beställde kycklingleverterrin och sa att det var otroligt bra. Tjänsten var utmärkt, ägarna erbjöd ett stort urval av absint. Desserterna var mycket bra, vi försökte 3 av dem, de var krämiga, släta och mycket tillfredsställande. Ägare och kockar visar verkligen hur frestande deras livsstil kan vara! Menyn är verkligen härlig. Vancouver bästa bistro.

En av mig själv lägger på etc peeves är när jag går till en restaurang och servitören eller chefen tycks ägna mer uppmärksamhet åt andra bord än mig själv. Jag var här med en vän och jag tycktes ignoreras av en annan server. Maten är bra men inte som det bästa jag någonsin haft i Frankrike.
