Went with friends for Dine Out 2025. Great service, food, and drinks. Appetizers were large portions (bison tartar, roast rutabaga). Mains were delicious (braised lamb shank, steam sable fish) and seasoned just right. Sometimes with each of these proteins other places tend to over salt.  Desserts were a nice topper (chocolate pudding, pear sorbet).

Our plans got canceled last minute and we ended up in the neighbourhood so we went to Fable for brunch. First I need to say that the service was stellar from the person who seated us to our server. I also loved the atmosphere it’s small, cosy and convivial with brick walls and interesting local art. We ordered the French toast, pulled pork Johnny cakes and the fable breakfast…I paid $2 to upgrade it to a “Trucker’s breakfast” and got one small pancake for that, would not do that again - disappointing. I tasted everything - the blueberry bourbon sauce with the French toast was exceptional and the pulled pork was delicious. Also liked that the hot sauce came in a group of 3 - mild, medium and hot. What a great idea!! Otherwise the food we tried was standard breakfast fare. All three items were $20 or less which for this city is definitely considered good value. We enjoyed our visit and would absolutely go again.

Oh my god! I loved all the dishes we ordered! Each dish has its own character and was tasty!! Kale salad was the best salad I’ve ever had! Duck breast had smokey maple taste and it was so soft! And mushroom was crispy and had a little bit of saltiness! Our server was friendly and nice and gave us a great recommendation! I will 1000% visit again if I ever go to Vancouver again! Highly recommend:)

Good overall experience. For a Michelin restaurant we were expecting small portions but were pleasantly impressed with ample plates. Cassidy was our server. She was super friendly, attentive and helpful. The only sad face emoji was when we were met and sat by the hostess. Kind of a sour reception and seating… but quickly improved when our server arrived.

This is the worst three courses tasting menu I have ever experienced. The braised lamb shoulder with Demi glaze is a pure block of meat with extremely over seasoned sauce and absolutely no starch to help balance out the heaviness. Everyone at the table drank three cups of water to wash down the saltiness. The dessert is three balls of heavily pressed chocolate with different toppings. They taste the same, and way too dense.

Overall the food is far below standard and does not worth the 50 dollars price tag.

Best part about the meal is the bread with butter. Super soft and fluffy. But again the butter is over seasoned.
