My husband and I dined at Montreal Plaza on Tuesday evening, and i were pleasantly surpised by how lively and busy it was for a weeknight.  From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere was warm, stylish, and inviting—modern with a quirky charm that instantly sets the tone for a fun, memorable evening. The service was top-notch from beginning to end. Every server we interacted with was friendly, knowledgeable, and genuinely attentive. It was so refreshing to see every staff member smiling and eager to help.

We shared several dishes and every single one was beautifully executed and plated like a work of art. The Fish tartare with squash was delicate and flavorful. The mackerel plancha was cooked perfectly. The standout for me was the Pacman scallop—a creative ceviche-style dish bursting with brightness from grapefruit and clementines. Absolutely divine!

The monkfish and octopus yakitori was another winner, served with a light salad that paired beautifully. I’m normally not a fan of foie gras, but their foie gras with truffle literally melted in my mouth—it was that good.

For our main, we shared the fluke with beurre blanc. I have a dairy sensitivity, and the chef prepared the dish completely dairy-free—and it was still rich, delicate, and full of flavor. The fact that one of the servers went through the entire menu and marked which items were dairy-free made me feel so taken care of. That kind of attention to detail really makes a difference.

Huge kudos to the chef and the entire kitchen team for executing a flawless meal. Every dish was thoughtfully prepared, and the flavors were balanced and memorable. Dining here was such a pleasure from start to finish, and I’m already looking forward to going back.

It was kinda expensive, but worth every penny as each bite was scrumptious. My favorite was the Foie Gras + Melon—such a unique combination, and I’ve never tasted anything like it before. The ambience was amazing and unique, and the staff were friendly too!

Came here on Valentine’s Day and had the tasting menu for 2 people we also decided to add on the Bourgot Miso dish and the fruit crisp dessert.
The entire experience was lovely with amazing tasteful dishes in a laid back atmosphere.
My favourite dish was by far the bourgot miso served with milk bread, which I debated ordering a second round of, but decided I was better off coming back again to experience it.
Overall the best meal I’ve had in Montreal!
Worth trying for a special occasion or to celebrate a milestone, or just a tourist. Reasonably priced for the offering.

I always feel nervous going into a seasonal tasting menu, especially in a restaurant known to be creative/adventurous, but Montreal Plaza delivered from start to finish.  From the quaint decor, the friendly and impeccable service, to of course the incredible food and wine, we were all so happy with our night. They were so kind to even humour me with a printout of the tasting menu for keepsake, which was typed and autographed on request. Looking forward to going back to a totally new menu. Highly highly recommend.
