I finally got to experience Nora Gray and it exceeded my expectations. From the summer salad to the linguine, chef’s kiss! I had a bite of my friend’s pan-seared sea bass and almost regretted my choice but my chanterelles on a bed of creamy linguine was divine. The surprise of the evening? The simple yet delectable summer salad. My friend and I both agreed that it may have been the best salad we have eaten thus far. I loved the atmosphere, it was nostalgic as it felt like we were transported back to our grandparents retro basement. I will be coming back.

We went there with some expectations due to the restaurant's reputation. However, we were very dissapointed by the service, and the food . We ordered the seabass and pork chop. They charged 42 for a skinless and very small seabass, and 48 for 4 pieces of dried porkchop. It wasnt worth the price.

What an amazing experience we had at this hidden gem! The restaurant was small and intimate and we sat at the bar. Our primary server/bartender was Lexi, and she was a wealth of knowledge about the menu and all drink options, and she (and the rest of the team) made a great experience even more special.

We had 4-5 plates, each of which was unique and special, but complimented the other. It was such an amazing dining experience from the staff to the bar to the kitchen! Absolutely recommend to anyone looking for an upscale dining experience with a warm and inviting atmosphere.

Had a lovely early dinner here on a Saturday before a Canadiens game at the nearby Bell Centre. I sat at the bar and was treated to excellent service by Arianne, who masterfully guided me through the menu and the wines on offer by the glass. Very eclectic crowd including hockey fans and staff who had the night off but still brought their friends for the food, and the place was hopping very quickly after opening.

I wouldn’t be surprised if regulars come here just for the appetisers - the mackerel was prepared beautifully. So much flavour from such a simple preparation, and not easy to get it that moist and delicious. I’d return just to have that dish!

Arianne suggested two appetiser size pasta dishes. The pasta is made in-house, and really stands out in a city with good Italian food. I tried the rotolo, which was spinach rolled in a pasta sheet, with a perfect tomato sauce. The spaghetti alla chitarra was divine - both dishes paired perfectly with the Tuscan Sangiovese red that was recommended. A strong espresso worked beautifully for the affogato to finish off a very good meal. Will definitely visit again!

Jag besökte Nora Gray som solofik och satte mig i baren. Bartendern gör dubbel tjänst som servitör och bartender. Hon gjorde ett bra jobb med båda. Menyn på Nora Gray är väldigt begränsad, vilket jag gillar eftersom det gör att kockarna kan fokusera på att göra allt bra. Ingredienserna är alla närproducerade. Jag åt bruschetta med olivolja. En tunt skivad korv. Ravioli och garganellipasta. Och slutligen avslutade jag med en affogato. Alla var utmärkta. För vin vid glaset erbjöds jag ett par provsmakningsval som båda var mycket goda. Jag rekommenderar starkt. Restaurangen i sig är liten och intim. Den har en West Village-känsla.

Detta är en populär restaurang och det är lätt att förstå varför. Maten är väldigt njutbar, men det finns bara inte tillräckligt av det. Det verkar som om menyn är utformad med tanke på att ha alla rätter. Det är en mycket kort meny och dyrt. Desserter är fantasilösa men ok, men inte värt att spara aptiten för. Servern var utmärkt och visste både mat och vin, samt att vara vänlig. Maten var utmärkt men portionerna var små och mindre. Vinmenyn var alldeles för omfattande och de billigare vinerna var en besvikelse. Atmosfären var bra men bullriga. Läget är hemskt, i en oattraktiv del av staden, med parkering svårt. Det var en dyr natt och alla 4 av oss lämnade fortfarande hungrig! Tyvärr blir det inget återbesök. Utgifter för 4 , med cocktails, en flaska vin och bara huvudrätt med dessert CAD $ 100 + per person.

Denna restaurang är liten och var ganska högt. Det var faktiskt lite obehagligt. Måltiden var bra, men inte underbart för priset.

En härlig upplevelse runt om ! Kort meny men med bra alternativ. Vi provade fläskkotletten och lammrätterna och båda var läckra. Desserterna vi valde var enkla - mousse och gelato (som kom med de bästa amaretti kakorna någonsin) och dessa var båda mycket goda. Skulle gå tillbaka i ett hjärtslag!

Jag tänker att hype har kommit framför denna restaurang. Sardiner, köttbullar, charcuterie och kammusslor var bra men ingen wow-faktor. Utförandet av deras kaninrätt var nedslående eftersom det var överkokt och torrt. Om denna maträtt var tillagad ordentligt, är det värt att beställa. Fikon tårta var trevligt, men svårt att klippa & äta eftersom bakverk var ganska svårt. Vinlistan är omfattande och dyra, få hantverk öl som till $ 11 är också dyr. Atmosfären var platt, service var i bästa fall funktionell. Om värdet för din dollar inte har någon konsekvens, gå sedan för det. I en stad full av fantastiska restauranger skulle jag säga att de inte är konkurrenskraftiga.

Jag älskade verkligen denna restaurang - inte super fancy men bara riktigt bra italiensk mat och en härlig atmosfär - helt klart platsen att gå innan jag går till Bell Center för hockeyspel. Vi hade en aptitretare som jag inte längre ser på menyn som var som en bakelse fylld med Rossi do Langa ost och kryddig honung - om de har detta är det ett måste - verkligen att dö för. Pasta med svamp var också fantastisk, liksom desserterna. En miss för oss var grillad fläsk. Vår server berättade att "cap" fortfarande var på - så vi väntade oss se lite fett. Problemet var att det fanns som inget kött. Vi skämtade faktiskt om det eftersom vi gjorde en omgång för att se vilken av oss som kunde hitta en fläck av kött under fettet. Jag säger att vi funnit cirka två till tre bra köttbitar vardera. Så det var en stor miss - annars skulle det ha varit 5 stjärnor hela vägen. Jag kommer tillbaka (men jag tror inte att jag kommer att beställa fläsk!)
