From the moment I called to make the group reservation to the minute we walked in… the atmosphere was warm, inviting, and beautifully decorated. Last night, we had the most incredible dining experience at Le Carré in Montreal. The ambiance was chic yet inviting, perfect for a night of indulgence.

The evening started with an exceptional dish featuring grilled octopus served over roasted potatoes and a refreshing yogurt-based sauce. The flavors were beautifully balanced, with a smoky touch from the octopus and a light tang from the sauce. We also had a creamy pasta dish that paired wonderfully with our glass of red wine.

Very good cauliflower and beet appetizers. I had a nice tuna tartare with frites and she had the duck confit pasta, which she enjoyed. Wines by the glass were above par and I had their punch, which I quite liked (I'd never had sea berries before). Wait staff was friendly and attentive without being intrusive.

Vi reserverade hela restaurangen för ett privat affärsevenemang. Maten var utsökt, servicen var fantastisk, och dryckerna / vinet var utmärkt.

Vi åt nyligen på denna restaurang. Vi beställde båda laxkokt medium. Kyparen informerade oss om att det serverades med brysselkål och en bakad potatis. När han tog fram maten stod det klart att det inte fanns några brysselkålar och den bakade potatisen var faktiskt några rostade potatisar. När jag provade min lax var den inte varm — mer rumstemperatur. Det var dock väldigt sent och jag var väldigt hungrig så jag sa inget till servitören. Jag provade en potatis. Det var hårt och även rumstemperatur. Jag åt mer lax bara för att upptäcka mitten av det var ganska sällsynt och inte medium. Min mans fisk var ordentligt tillagad men hans potatis var också mycket hård. Allt som allt en mycket medioker måltid. Jag skulle inte rekommendera denna restaurang.

Bra personal och atmosfär. Den grillade laxen var härlig. Grillad Gnocchi och grönsaker inte så bra. Varför skulle du gå till besväret att grilla både gnocchin och grönsakerna, som var obefintliga och sedan servera den i en skål full med sås/soppa. Var är den grillade delen. Helt besviken på denna måltid.

Detta är en liten matsal med vänlig och uppmärksam service. Maten är fantastisk, och jag säger inte så ofta. Allt vi beställde var fantastiskt. Anka confit pasta är en generös portion rik, köttig och krämig färsk pasta som jag vill äta om och om igen. Arancinin är stor och krispig. Brownien var perfekt. Serverades något varm, den hade en knaprig topp med perfekt balans mellan fluffigt och kakigt. Eftersom det är ett litet utrymme välkomnas gästerna genom att erbjudas bord som de måste lämna inom 90 minuter, vilket är lite irriterande när det är den första upplevelsen du får från denna restaurang. Vi kunde dock välja ett bord som de sa inte hade en ”tidsgräns”. Jag ser fram emot att gå tillbaka!

Huvudrätten var fylld kyckling och tyvärr var den extremt torr, överkokt och med en hög syrahalt vilket gjorde tallriken svår att äta. Jag rekommenderar inte denna restaurang.

All vår mat var förstklassig. Servicepersonalen var vänlig och uppmärksam. Priserna var rimliga. Beställ tas snabbt och maten kom vackert presenterade. Variation - lax, fish and chips, svärdfisk, tonfisk tartar.

Vi var en tabell med 6 (4 vuxna och 2 barn) under julperioden och det uppfyllde alla förväntningar. Medan de två barnen beställde från huvudmenyn, erbjöds de alternativ som inte fanns på menyn om de föredrog. För de vuxna blev vi alla imponerade av mat- och dryckutbudet med den franska och Medelhavssvärd som vi hoppades på. För en resande grupp från Australien och Storbritannien var det en underbar upplevelse och en fantastisk demonstration av hur vackra kanadensiska råvaror kan serveras med quebecois / fransk stil som tilltalar både vuxna och barn.

Detta är en liten restaurang men servicen och menyn är mycket bra. Om du är gäst på Square Phillips ger restaurangen en snabb rumsservice med vin om så önskas. Även om det tydligen inte alltid krävs att boka bord kan det vara en fördel särskilt när vädret utanför inte är för ljust.
