# Markham Golf Dome – Premier Indoor Golf Experience in Toronto

Came on a weekend afternoon and there were still plenty of spots available for indoor and outdoor range. Outdoor is less pricey and priced per bucket of balls while indoors is hourly? They also have clubs for rental as well. Jumbo bucket with 100 balls come out to around $30 and reg bucket with 60 balls is around $22 plus tax. Pay for the buckets at the clubhouse before going to the range. With the outdoor stalls they have both real grass or fake turf. The fake turf provides the usual left handed or right handed grass panels with a rubber tee. The rubber tee is a bit high as I know some other places usually have a taller and a shorter rubber tee for interchanging. Otherwise the spots are pretty good (no shade fyi) and the ball dispensing machine is quick and fast.

The process to get a bucket of balls for the outdoor range is very quick and easy, with a QR code scanner that they have at the ball dispenser. It's definitely more worth it to head to the outdoor range than the indoor one if you're not too serious about golf, as it is cheaper and less busy. I'm not too familiar with ranges, but some of the spots had chunks of grass missing, so we had to walk out a little further to find a solid patch to use. There is a lot of space though, so it wasn't too hard to find! It did start raining quite heavily while we were there, so if you're worried about the weather, it's important to know that there is no coverage for the outdoor section!

Great place for the winter months to keep up with your golf game. Generally not too busy on week nights. 40 spots available indoors and 60 outdoors. Dome is in good shape holding temperatures and wind steady.

The spot is great for beginners, around 25 for a bucket which is decent. Can be super packed on weekends and If you go during night time in the summer, you might find lots of mosquitoes so make sure you have some bugs repellent ready.

If you are looking for a place to keep your swing in check during the inclement Toronto weather, this is the place. Even in the nice weather...there is an outdoor driving range. The dome is huge with a lot of stalls, since it does have an upper and lower deck. Rates are reasonable...however it is cheaper to go during the week than on the weekend. If you use the dome you pay by the hour, if you are outside on the range you pay by the basket. I HIGHLY recommend that you get there early as it does get busy and you will be on the wait list if you go mid-afternoon on a weekend.

Have been coming here since I was in university. In fact, this is where I began my oh so successful 'golfing career.' It's a two-level plus outdoor golf range that gives you the opportunity to practice your swing. Another perk is that they have quite a few golf professionals who offer their expertise in the form of lessons. I would highly recommend Jimmy (an older Korean gentleman). He was an excellent instructor. I can't speak for other days of the week, but on Sundays MGD has an early bird special before 10 AM. As Wayne C. mentioned, it's mad busy here so if you decide to come on a Sunday, go super early or super late. Come in between and you'll find yourself sitting in the 'dining' area and killing time. The popularity of this place blows because you'll find yourself waiting if you come at a sane hour on Sunday... but I can't physically stop people from entering so what can you do. Yay, I'm a fan.

I am in no way an avid golfer, so I won't go into extreme detail about Markham Golf Dome. They give you exactly what the name says; a dome in which you can golf. That being said, it is a rather large dome, so you do have the ability to really get a feel for the potential of your swings. One of its notables are the ground and suspended targets that they've set up for accuracy practice. And of course, there's the ball retrieval cart that comes along every now and then that you're obligated by law to hit. For two hours, and unlimited balls, I shelled out $35, which according to my buddy, isn't bad. But hey, what do I know about golfing rates. I should say that I get the feeling that an avid golfer would give this place a 4 star, but I'm just going by personal feel.

Indoor driving range is a must for Winter here, so I will not forget my swing during the whole freezing winter. I have been going to Markham Golf Dome for years. I, once, bought a short term membership for one Winter season. Usually I buy deal from Groupon for an-hour single visit. There are two decks but I try to avoid the upper deck if I want to practice full-swing. The indoor range is counting by hour. I especially enjoy practicing my short game here because I can hit as many golf balls as I can. There are putting area, chipping and sand trap practice areas all in one roof. I tried the outdoor driving range by bucket. I am not a fan of this outdoor one. It is not the worst but I just don't like it. There are many more better choices for outdoor driving range.

A great spot for beginners, just about every summer I drive over to the Markham Golf Dome for the indoor driving range because of the heat. Private lessons are available and there is an outdoor driving range for golfers with more experience. Overall, this place is average. It's not a very pricey place but you can find better ranges for a lot cheaper, when the weather is cool - I tend to head over to the range at Kennedy & Major Mac (Just North) across from the Angus Glen golf course. Buses always come and go around the dome because it's where the York Region Transit parks their unserviced vehicles. 3/5

Very pricey for outdoor driving range. Most ranges have jumbo buckets for under $16 here a jumbo bucket is $25 and a large is $20. I do understand prices go up but last summer a large was $16. Trying not to go back here if I can help it
