My friends decided to go for afternoon karaoke today, and we found SOS KTV at Commerce Gate - available from 2pm-8pm. Parking is a little crazy with all the restaurants; there is also underground parking if you didn't know ;) The vibe inside is nightclub-like. Our room is ginormous for just for 4 of us. Sound system and mic is fantastic; no feedback from the mic at all. The song selection system was also easy to use, and I love the control panel conveniently located behind the couch. I ordered the spam and egg instant noodles, and honest to god, it was the BEST instant noodles in a karaoke setting. I'd 100% order it again! The popcorn chicken, on the other hand, was on the dryer side. I would prefer a mayo or aioli instead of hot sauce for dipping. $25 includes tax and tips, plus one drink on the drinks menu (non-alcoholic). Overall, great experience; I'd come back again!

This ktv is the best ktv in Toronto at present, they have the best machines and the best service, the private rooms are very quiet, the environment is very good, the service staff are very friendly, I had a good time here, I would recommend this place to everyone, I have a lot of fun here with my friends, it is a good place to get together with friends on the weekend. And their food here is also very delicious, I especially recommend their new chicken nuggets, and cod. Each guest can get a free fruit platter, which is very surprising, but be careful to book in advance before coming to the weekend, because the weekend is really hot！！！

Came here for the at 2:20pm. Rate is $15 per person until 8pm. The place is ghetto, the front desk looks like high schoolers operated desk. Plain thin desk with laptop. We were in room 10. The room had cigarettes smell but is was clean. The door doesn't fully shut. There was English, Chinese, korean and Spanish songs. Decent amount of English library. There was no attendants. Guess it is okay if you bring your own drinks and snacks in.

There isn't really too many karaoke places in York Region anymore. I have seen this one here and there but have never been so finally checked it out recently. Let's get the good things out of the way: - located in Commerce Gate and there was free parking - song selection is decent, they have many of the new Chinese songs, and easy to choose songs - $15 pp which includes ONE drink, and includes tax and tip. Fair and average price for happy hour - Happy hour starts from 2-8 pm. Longer than many other KTV places - room was pretty big The BAD - I cannot breathe in the room. It's so smokey. I know there's a no smoking sign on the door but obviously people don't follow the rules and the staff there don't enforce it so hence, very smokey rooms. Literally cannot breathe but we toughed it out anyways - there was old balloons hanging in the room, deflated foil balloon, deflated happy birthday balloons, some random pair of used latax gloves (ewwww) - dirty spots on table and seats - no garbage bin in room or in the washrooms.. no where to throw paper towel - they told us we had to pay an hour before the time's up. When we paid, our chosen song list got wiped out. So we sang, and we got a drink, and that was that. We enjoyed the singing but can't say we enjoyed the experience. We all agreed we will never ever go back here. It's not only dirty but also smelly. Now I gotta go wash my coat and my hair a few times.

Reserved in person 2 weeks in advance for xmas eve 13 people.Had a tour of the room. My reservation was written in front me. The day of they were incompetent and gave away my room. They could not find where my reservation was written. They then sent us to a different karaoke place which proceeded to scam us. disgusting people. Do not reccomend.

Service was not good. We came here for happy hour on Saturday, but the karaoke machine stopped working 4 times. Out of these 4 times, karaoke machine erased songs we selected 3 times so we had to reselect them. Very frustrating experience. We ordered 2 pitchers of drink. Both pitchers were filled only half full. Both times we had to wait for over 30 minutes to get our drinks. The bartender was playing around instead of making our drinks. The room smelled like people had smoked previously. The only decent thing about this place is selection of songs is decent.

This place is a joke. Apparently, they took over the "basement" location (originally ET) as well. Since there were no rooms upstairs, they sent us downstairs. First of all, the environment is trashy (everything is old and half-broken including equipment). Secondly, one speaker out of two in the room didn't work. Thirdly, the selection of music was mediocre. Lastly, the most important thing, like most people have mentioned about this chain of KTV (Soho, Label, etc.), they force a 28% service at the top of your bill (so most people would miss seeing it), and then the servers would "request" for additional gratuity on top of the bill. For people who bend over to such requests are essentially paying upwards of over 38% in "service fee/gratuity/tips". We ordered only one bottle of Grey Goose and 18 bottles of Budweiser with some small snacks, and ended up paying nearly $500, before the servers were begging for more tips. For a place that has a minimum charge in the hundreds of dollars for medium and large rooms, they only accept cash (cough cough tax evasion cough). I would give this place 0 stars or even negative if I can. Save your money and go somewhere more legitimate.

Spent some time looking at various karaoke places and found this to be the best one in the area based off of location and reviews. It seemed to be run by a small number of staff - we mostly dealt with one person. I can appreciate that. He was knowledgeable about technical issues, pricing and other room logistics. During weekday happy hour, the price was 12.50/person and included a standard non-alcoholic drink of your choice. This price seems hard to beat. Doesn't hurt to call ahead to reserve a room for your party. Knocked off a star because the song selection machine was quite tough to use... Many delays and unintuitive. I did not find that there was a limitation in English song availability. Also, the washroom experience left much to be desired.

I was there during Happy Hour on Sunday. Service is extremely bad, place is super dirty, very disappointed. Price: On website, it's showing $11.99 for 2 drinks. My friend called to make reservation, the person on the phone confirmed the price is $11.99 but only with 1 drink. When we got there, they said it's $15 including tax and "cleaning fee" excluding tips. Time: On website, it's showing Happy Hour is 2pm-8pm. On the phone the person said it's 3pm-8pm. When we were there, the lady came to give our bill at around 6:45pm and said we need to leave before 7:30pm because they need to clean the room so people who made reservation at 8pm can use it right at 8... Environment: The place smells. It smells like cigarette plus puke. Room is not clean. There are balloons and other stuff left behind from the people before us. The washroom is extremely dirty. One washroom stall is broken and leaning inward, door is gone and the stall looks like it's about fall anytime soon. All stalls but the broken one have no toilet paper. One sink is clogged and it looks like the water is about to overflow. Drinks: When we ordered drinks, they said they can give us two pitchers instead because they don't have enough glasses...we asked how do we drink from the pitcher then? They said they will provide the disposable cups. When the first pitcher came, it's only three quarter, because we order hot drink. The second one is more because we ordered cold drink and there's ice. Both drinks were watered down as well. Overall Experience: I will never go back again and definitely will not recommend this place to anyone. As a matter of fact I will tell anyone that's looking for a karaoke place to stay as far away from this place as possible.

Avoid this place at all costs - especially if you're not Chinese! Some friends from elementary school and myself wanted to hold a mini reunion to hang out and one person recommended this place, so we all said yes. She called in two weeks early to make reservations and we believed we were all set to go. Upon arrival, not all of us were present...and the girl who made the reservation did not arrive yet, but myself and my other friend decided to see if we can go ahead and check out the room. When he walked in, there was a gentleman at the front desk. We told him we had a reservation under Jess or Jessica. He said there was no reservation under this name. He asked us for her phone number and we gave it and guess what happened? He basically laughed in our faces and said nope no number like that here reserved. Since clearly there was no reservation made under their end, we asked if there were any rooms available and he said only the party room which needed a $400 down payment. We said okay we'll wait until our friend who made the reservation arrive and they can speak to her. We ended up just going to the Chinese Dumpling House a couple units down to wait for our friend who made the reservation. Jess ended up calling me when she arrived to Soho. She said the room was available and we can head there. I told her over the phone the situation and how they were very rude to us when they didn't find us on their reservations. I also mentioned to her the only room they had available was the party room for $400 (since they did not mention this to her). She confirmed after I told her and basically told them they're running a sketchy business, then left. How on earth are you going to lead a girl to a karaoke room to show it to her without mentioning the cost? They also talked down to us as if we were poor or something. Horrible business. Horrible people. Avoid this place at all costs! So glad we did.
