I saw a number of BOGO deals on Uber Eats at ChickQueen. I had never been to this eatery, so I was game. This ChickQueen location is in a large plaza that's roughly a five-minute drive from my workplace. It's a couple of doors down from Burger Factory and four doors down from KK Sushi, two eateries that I frequented a lot before and during the pandemic, respectively. I should return to both for my burger and sashimi fixes. I placed my order through the Uber Eats app: - CQ grill sandwich (BOGO) - Macaroni salad - individual As the name suggests, chicken is the main protein at this eatery. It didn't take long for my order to be ready. I found a parking spot fairly close to the entrance. I backed into it and headed towards the entrance. ChickQueen has $5 daily specials. I was here on a Saturday and a $5 poutine is decent as a deal. A friendly woman greeted me. I indicated that I had an Uber Eats order. She nodded and packed everything up in a paper bag. She asked if I wanted ketchup or hot sauce. i said the former in case the sandwich needed help. She was great. I thanked her and left. I had one sandwich for dinner with the macaroni salad. I had the other sandwich the following day. My CQ grill had a chicken breast fillet that was marinated in a herbs and spices mixture (sounds like KFC, but it's not) for at least a day before it's grilled. I got lettuce, jalapeno slices, cheddar cheese, and chili mayo in my sandwich by default. The protein and toppings are clapped between a sesame seed bun. My sandwich looked a bit deformed when I unwrapped it. It was yummy. There was a lot of spice kick to it. If you can't handle the spice, I'd recommend passing on this sandwich or try taking out the jalapeno slices. Having the macaroni salad as a side helped put out some of the fire. The chicken breast was yummy. It was juicy and perfect with the cheese and condiments. It's a decent sandwich. There's also a crunchy sandwich that coats the chicken breast in batter before it's deep-fried. It's on a brioche bun, so it may appeal to those who don't feel like a sesame seed one. I will try it next time, as this place does chicken breast well without it being dry and boring. I love macaroni salad. The individual portion was too small for a macaroni salad fan like me. I felt like I had a child portion. It took me four bites and I was done. The salad was tasty and excellent. It was creamy and the macaroni was perfect. I need to get the regular-sized macaroni salad. I don't think there's a large version. If one was offered, I'd get it. The food here is halal. I had a great experience. I'd return for more chicken items and macaroni salad. This place also has biscuit that I'd like to enjoy. (106)

The fries were hard and dry, like they had sat in a warmer all day, and it looked as if they gave me left over fries because when I got to the bottom they were hard peeling shells; I wouldn't call them fries. The burger didn't have enough sauce, so it was dry too. Either the buns weren't fresh or the inside spicy veggie toppings weren't fresh because I tasted mold. I couldn't take it back because I opened it at home. The food wasn't worth the price I paid for at all. I've had takeout burger and fries before, but they didn't get hard and dry like that.

The food was delicious! Love the fact that they try their level best to keep it as fresh as possible. They onlt start cooking once we place the order !! The staff was pleasant and the service was really good !! The ambiance is pretty colorful! The place was clean and kept well! Overall its was a solid experience!! Loved it !! I'd go back for that tandoori sandwich

Onion Rings $5.99, burned & oily . The royal wrap was ok. I find the price to high for a small portion of oily and burnt onion rings

Ordered an 8 piece fried chicken combo only to find the chicken extremely undercooked. Called back to the restaurant, where they only offered to refry the same chicken in the bucket and not being offered a new batch of fresh chicken. Definitely my first and very last time of coming back to this place. Be sure to check your food before consuming from this place.
