Had a reservation with Fox and they were so bad I moved over to ACE at the last minute. Got a better deal, nicer people and they weren't dishonest. If I'm at YYZ again I'll be renting from Iversta/ACE

Terrible experience all around. It was impossible to find this location, and when we did find the phone in an obscure terminal to try to get someone to come pick us up, nobody answered the phone. We called like 20 times before someone finally answered the phone. When we finally got the car, it was dirty and they had to clean it more...and kept us waiting for another 30 min. Then after returning the car, I found out I was charged another $480 for an apparent speeding violation and then charged $780 for no reason on top of that. It is 100% fraud and we are disputing this legally and with our credit card company. This company is terrible. RUN as fast as you can!

DO NOT RENT FROM THIS COMPANY!!!!! When you call, they do not answer. They charge $1000 deposit and after I returned the car. Still have not received my deposit back. TOTAL SCAM! DO NOT USE! My CONFIRMED RESERVATION was CANCELLED less than 48 hours before my trip - 2nd time this has happened! Iversta blames the 3rd party booking website, but the timing is suspect, as I had just talked to Alex at Iversta an hour earlier and he had confirmed the details of our reservation! Of course, they were willing to rebook directly with us, for 3x the price! We will NEVER consider doing any business with them again! EVER!

SCAM ALERT - THIS COMPANY IS A COMPLETE FRAUD! This rental car company is running a full-blown scam. Worst experience of my life. They charged us over $100 a day for a Hyundai -- yes, a Hyundai -- and then took a $1,000 deposit that they REFUSE to refund. After we returned the car, they suddenly claimed there was damage that was already there when we picked it up, just to steal our deposit. The guy at return even told us it was clean and he would only charge $50 for cleaning and $120 for extra mileage -- then suddenly they pull this damage excuse out of nowhere. Total setup. We were also in an accident during the rental -- the other driver was at fault and we filed a full police report. Even the police told us this company should not be renting cars at all and that something shady is going on with how they operate. Customer service? Non-existent. Rude, arrogant, and completely unprofessional. They lie, avoid accountability, and are clearly just trying to scam people out of deposits. DO NOT rent from this company. They are scammers, thieves, and possibly involved in illegal activity. Save yourself the stress and money -- go anywhere else.

There is so much to tell you to be careful with Iversta, this page is not enough- you can call me or email me. In a nut shell - They make things look like legal, everything they do looks like we are on a different planet. Wear Tear is considered damaged - if you use their car you may have to replace tires. Forget about getting back you deposit that they say its only a hold. I was charge my deposit plus received a call from them to call my insurance and open a claim for something I am not aware of. Finally When I called Iversta Claims - I was told that they saw a minor scratch on the back bumper - due to luggage removal that was performed by their staff member. I plan on getting regulatories authorities involved in fixing this mess. This is because Tourists and local communities are suffering innocently. If you have to walk, its worth it - dont rent from Iversta

This is by far THE WORST car rental experience I've ever had. We had to call for a shuttle to come pick us up from the airport. They told us someone would arrive in 10 minutes...30 minutes later I had to call for the shuttle again because no ever came. After almost 45 minutes I made it to the office and the customer service was atrocious! These are the most DISHONEST group of people I've come across in a while. Even when it come to the outrageous deposits they hold on your card (it was $1000 CAD hold for a 3 day rental). They told me it would take 10 business days for the deposit to be released but I overheard them telling someone else it would be 15 business days. They also tell you they will have things taken care of in 2-5 minutes and you're there waiting for .5-1 hour. I would not recommend this shady business. -10/5 rating

I was visiting from the US and booked thru ACE Rent a Car's website a couple of months prior to my arrival. ACE office is located in the same building as Iversta Rent a Car Service. Not sure if they are 2 different companies or if ACE was acquired but it looks like ACE has been around for several years. To be honest I was hesitant in booking through ACE. It was my first time with them. I've never heard of them before until I started to look at car rental. They were the cheapest. During the pandemic rental prices have increased dramatically but ACE remained low. I did extensive search on reviews for them. Most were very bad and a few some good ones. I was prepared, I brought my personal car insurance document and my credit card with Auto Rental Collision Damage Waiver. I had no issues at all. My quote matched the booking confirmation. There were no hidden fees. I rented for 2 weeks at $37/day USD that included unlimited km and taxes. They did not once try to up sell me any additional insurance. As long as you show them a printed document of your own personal car insurance policy you should be fine. They will make a photocopy for their record. To get unlimited km I just showed them my boarding pass to show I am a tourist. They will put a $700 hold on your credit card for deposit that gets dropped off 3-5 days so make sure you have enough credit! On the day of arrival I called them at 3:30pm on a Thursday and was picked up at 3:45pm at Viscount station. (Follow the directions in your confirmation email) The driver was friendly and kind. I got to ACE counter in just under 5 minutes. There was 1-2 renters in front of me but I was in and out of there in 20 minutes. Finished signing and paying by 4:10pm. I had a nice, clean 2021 Hyundai car. I found no scratches or dents, the gas was filled up, there was windshield fluid and a spare tire with jack. Would I rent from ACE again? Absolutely YES!

I will not select a rating as it should be a minus star. I booked a rental car through this company as I was visiting family for Christmas after the loss of my Mother and Brother. To say it was the worst experience ever is an understatement. I had all confirmation of payment and insurance, and they refused to give me the rental. The then proceeded to charge over $1000.00 on my credit card, plus the other fees for the rental and insurance. I spent over two hours of my time there with about 10 others who none spoke English and were speaking another language in front of me. After two hours of trying to sort through the mess they created, i said screw it and demanded my money back and got an Uber. Not only did you lose my business, but there was another gentleman there screaming and yelling as you guys had messed up his rental as well. I see by your Yelp reviews my gut was right, you guys are scammers and try to take money that isn't yours from innocent people. Was the worst experience with car rentals I have ever had! Only regret is I should have read the reviews prior to booking, but wont make that mistake again.
