My office Christmas party was held at Maple Banquet Hall last Thursday. It started at 11 am and lasted for a few hours. This banquet hall is located in the same plaza as Zauq, which is a couple of stores down. Parking can be extremely busy, so it was recommended to carpool with colleagues. I drove my intern over here. We had no problem finding a parking spot steps away from the main entrance. The banquet hall is pretty. Flowers in vases greet you. We had a check-in reception area a few steps away from the main entrance. Our office has roughly 200 people. We all fit in nicely at Empress Hall. It had huge, round tables that were nicely decorated. There were a couple of Lindt chocolates for each guest. Nice! Meals were buffet-style. I chose the perfect table. Ours was one of the first ones called by number to hit the food lineup. Yay! The food is mostly Italian. I enjoyed the penne pasta with veggies. I loved the roasted chicken with mushroom sauce. There were veggies. The round roasted potatoes were so good. There was also an eggplant parmigiana for folks who requested a vegetarian meal. Our manager said to the female server that he wasn't a vegetarian, but wanted one. She denied his request, which was kind of funny, but made sense. The food was yummy. I was stuffed, but wanted dessert. I went overboard with my plate of sweets. I got two freshly baked cookies. They were the best and tasted homemade. I also indulged in chocolate cake, a Portuguese egg tart, and carrot cake. To make it look like I was eating healthy, I got some cantaloupe slices, to balance my guilt out a bit. We had pitchers of water and Coke at our table. I tend to drink Diet Coke, as regular Coke is too sweet. This pitcher was watered down that I was good with it. I was probably the only person who drank it. There was juice, coffee, and tea behind us. I got this fruity juice drink that was yummy. We had games and raffles afterwards. This hall is roomy for all these activities. We were supposed to have a dance. I have a feeling that we had all eaten so much that we simply couldn't budge. There are two sets of washrooms for men and women at this banquet hall. They were clean and the mirrors were big. It was a perfect venue for our Christmas party. My team had a ton of fun. It's a good seven-minute drive from work, which is a bonus. (471)

Planning my wedding in a few months basically took the life out of me and the venue was the last thing to come together. Thankfully Tunde made the whole process a lot easier. It got to the point where I was trying to scramble together something semi-decent at the last minute. My expectations may have started out low, but as I got more and more input I realized I might be in somewhat of a pickle because what I wanted was either going to cost me way too much or it was too late to get it. Thankfully Maple Banquet Hall was available and Tunde really sold me on the idea. I came in when it was decorated it was lovely. It looks like your typical banquet hall, which was something I initially didn't want but I realized would provide us with the comfort and ease of a celebration for a winter reception. Tunde gave me the flexibility of letting her know napkin colours and last-minute details a week before the actual wedding. We sat down earlier and mapped out what I would possibly want and wrote it all out. She left clear instructions for the people who were setting up since she wouldn't be there that day and wanted to have everything go as planned. Our wedding was a smaller affair and so we booked the Princess Hall but added seats to the max capacity. It was an intimate affair and wonderfully cozy. The decor was absolutely stunning and Tunde did an excellent job working it out with me and my budget. Everything was exactly as we had discussed. I know the washrooms got a lot of feedback on yelp but I found them fine (maybe they renovated?). My one issue was that because we had the smaller hall and there were events happening on either side of us, my husband and I didn't really have a bridal suite. Instead we were given the office which had windows on either side that people could see into, which made outfit changes extremely difficult.

I have been here on numerous south asian events whether it is a big community dinner or wedding related events. It is a sub par banquet hall. I think the main attraction is that it is cheap to host an event. The food is ok and the service is meh. Washrooms I will not even comment! For whatever reason, I am at the banquet hall at least twice a year on my family's request. Yay for me. I would recommend other banquet halls in the area versus this one.

After reading the business owner's comment I have decided to drop the my rating to 1 star due to extremely poor customer service by the owner. Instead of reading the reviews and looking for ways to improve (not the only person who mentioned the gross bathrooms) she has decided to take up an attitude. When you are looking for a banquet hall for your function please ensure you read the owner's response to all the reviews. That will give a good sense of the type of service you will receive. Spend your hard earned money elsewhere. When you see this place do yourself a favour and keep on driving.

This place is not fancy at all, it's pretty bad to be honest. It's located in a plaza so not your typical banquet hall. We were here for a friend's pre-wedding ceremony and the first thing we noticed was that this place was cold, not only physically but the overall theme of the place. The whole place needed some renovation. There was a tiny bar and it's so basic that it seemed like a hand washing station with cracked tiles and dirty wall. Even my friend the host was really disappointed with the place, although he had no choice because it was chosen by the family. The servers weren't really professional, no smiles, just doing their jobs I guess. The other issue I noticed with this place is that the hall is divided into 3 separate halls and the sound proofing is just bad, you could loudly hear other events across the divider and it's just not good. I would not choose this place for a wedding at all, it's located in a plaza with many varieties of businesses around it like a restaurant and travel agency. It might be ok for not so important occasions but I would still look else where.

We had a party in the Cardinal Hall at Maple Banquet Hall two weeks ago and I only have wonderful things to say about this hall. Aslan and Tunde helped coordinate everything and the staff was so helpful throughout the night. The food was incredible and our guests were all very pleased with the taste and quality. Thanks for making our event a success! We will be recommending you to all our friends.

i've been to my share of banquet halls. this one is really decent. i couldn't help but like how clean the actual hall was, there is two main rooms, that can be split or opened to make a double room?(i hope this makes sense) the food was amazing(not sure if its tied to the hall) and the staff serving the food was very much on point. for example, each table got a pitcher of water and i think ours was empty a grand total of 12 minutes, over the course of a whole night? AMAZING! this didn't get five stars for three minor reasons. the bathrooms need to be tended to, as well as the location of the bathroom is quite awkward when people of the wedding party were giving speeches, you could very clearly hear the music from the other room. the location of this banquet hall is difficult to get to, yes the actual hall sits in a plaza that's on a intersection, but because of the long medians you can only get into the plaza south on dixie or both directions of eglington

We had our wedding reception there, I can't thank enough to Tunde Mecseki, the manager for making my day absolutely perfect. The atmosphere, food and the hall was exceptional. Highly recommend them!

This is a decent banquet hall. I attended many events in this hall. The staff is very helpful and nice. They will help you as much as they can do. Especially,the Manager Tunde . I attended a Asian wedding and tried their Asian menu and also a Christmas party which has europian food and both was amazing. I also like the decor inside the venue.This banquet hall has a huge parking lot.
