This place was amazing. At 12am Tuesday. I had a family emergency and needed a car. I called a few places but couldn't get through to a person. National. I choose English and reservations. They let me speak to a real person and book a car. I had my car by 1 am and was able to leave to make my way from Toronto to Philadelphia. Car was in great condition and drove amazing for the 8hr journey. The person on the phone and the two workers at the actual branch were very professional and greatly helped me.

Janice over at National was extremely sweet and helpful. We were visiting Toronto and needed a car rental but didn't have a reservation. There's a couple of companies here for car rental. I would recommend this one if there's any availability. Thank you Janice for helping out with our car rental!

Do not get your car from these people, Use another service, they are so stingy when giving cars, Their was a lady named Herman she was so mean and rude, If you want to avoid the stress and easily get a rental car do not get your car from these people and espic their rude and mean manager, when I went I was trying to get a car and asked her which ones is available and was talking on her phone with her boyfriend and compl ignored me on purpose and I suggest anyone getting a rental car at Toronto pearson international airport to not get it from national, And if you do avoid Herman at all costs, and Herman discriminated me for being white and she was indian and their was a Indian majority in Canada, She was flirting with other guys and gave them any car they wanted and i should have gotten any car cause I'm the highest member of emerald club and this is really dissapointing and I wrote this review cause I don't want anyone having the Sampe problems as I do and even if you do avoid HERMAN at all cost, the meanest and rudest person at the airport and racist person

The location manager Tony went out of his way to give us a truly memorable customer experience! We arrived at the rental counter well past 2am (their closing time - lights were already out) after an exhausting day of travelling with many hiccups and delays. But Tony was still there, and his kindness and compassion completely made our day and lifted our spirits! He really went out of his way to provide us with a nice car, complete with a brand new infant seat, and made sure that we were all set and ready to go before before sending us off with a big smile. What a great experience! Thank you Tony, from Alice, Lukas and baby Leon!

So the experience should be less than 5 Stars because of a few hiccups with corporate not removing a hold on our account previously so according to The process we would have had to wait 3 hours to talk to West coast enterprise to allow anything to happen. Transferring the reservation would not be permitted while keeping the same reserved rate. So with all these issues, this review is specifically for Janice Green who works the desk there. She was not only patient. But she definitely knew how to solve our problem. We got the car that was reserved at the rate that was reserved while making sure she didn't step on anyone's toes in record time. Plus also got some great wisdom from her that we put into practice right away. Would love to interact with her again if ever in Toronto and needing a car rental again! Look up Janice Green and she should be able to help your Car Rental needs!

Be very aware that it is likely that no one will be around when you drop off your car if you have one of the early flights (~7:00am). They totally close up shop and NO ONE is around to help you if you are having troubles with the car. We had some serious issues and we had to drop off the car and make sure the key was in a lock box. Then you may as well call their first level help desk somewhere. No one gets to the airport with a lot of luxury time, so waiting for a HelpDesk call because they don't staff a when the airlines tell people to be there is crazy.

Very impressed. Service is very friendly. Everyone really nice and helpful. They gave me a beautiful white full size car. I did purchase collision coverage, which I always do, and needed it for the first time. Someone hit the driver side of the car while my car was parked in the parking lot. I came out to a surprise. Therefore, I was nervous about what to expect. I got the car over to National a couple of hours earlier just in case. They asked if I purchased collision insurance and I said yes. They said at this point everything is covered and no worries. The prices are reasonable and I love the idea of the Emerald club. Really impressed and this is the car rental company I will be using from now on.

The worst car rental experience that I have ever had. I use National because of the ease of using Emerald Aisle. My most recent experience was that there were no cars in the Aisle. In fact there were no cars at all in the National rental lot. Confirmed reservations apparently mean nothing to this location. Upon arriving in Toronto's Pearson Intl airport and collecting our bags my family and I went to get our car rental at 10.30 pm. No cars in the Aisle, so I asked at the desk and was told to wait at the Emerald Kiosk and someone would be right out to help me. After waiting 15 mins in 80F temp with 80% humidity, I went back in to the air-conditioned office to let them know no one had come to help. A manager was requested and she said she would be right out. Another 15 mins and still no help. Then I noticed that the same manager was helping people in a line for Alamo car rental. I approached her and she said that there are still no cars available and that I was in the wrong place, I should be in the Alamo line and it was first come first served. Almost all the people in the line had arrived after me, but I was now at the end of the line. I was told that over 300 cars had been taken from their inventory the day before and that they had none in inventory and that they we getting a couple of cars at a time and that it could take 2 hours to get a car. i was also told that it was Canada Day weekend and that is a very busy time for car rental I am not sure why a car rental business does not understand the principal of a reservation. Send the 300 cars minus the ones that are reserved by your customers. if you know it's going to be busy, order extra cars. After about an hour we finally received a car. It seems to me, that the time to show how good your business is, is during difficult challenges. The way you handle those challenges says a lot about your organization. National Car Rental at Pearson International Airport showed that hey are a thoughtless, disorganized, 3 rate organization that clearly does not care about their customers or upholding standards for their national brand. I called and left a message for Siya Tharmabalan, the Branch Manager of the location and have still not heard back from him. I suppose he does not care about his customers experiences.

Awful customer service!! First off I had to wait 20 Minutes to actually get service because the woman at the counter had no idea what she was doing! Then I was denied getting a vehicle because I didn't have my credit card! The car was prebooked and a card on file that could have taken care of everything!!! And to top it all off I was an 2 hours from where I was suppose to be and had to be somewhere in that period of time for an important familY event! These people did absolutely nothing and were the worst customer service people I have ever dealt with it in my life!!!! I will never go back there again!! Worst worst worst!
