I hardly take domestic flights in YYZ. However, on my recent trip I was heading to the east coast and experienced this part of the airport and had my first Smoke's Burritorie before I saw the reviews. Caveat my expectations won't be high. I don't expect authenticity or it being cheap... c'mon IT IS airport food. Certainly I think they deserve better than 1.8 stars that they currently have now. I just want to say the burrito we had was quite good. We added some guac, which was a generous serving on top and it was tasty. I like that it was packaged really well so I can bring it into the plane and enjoy it. I did not get sick from eating it like some other reviewers in the past has noted. A-okay in my books.

Chicken was flavourless and mushy. Asked whether it was real or plant based and was assured it was real. Texture was off-putting. Spicy rice tasted like plain rice doused in Tabasco. Bad even for airport food.

Hot tip. Don't have a burrito before a transatlantic flight unless you have a constitution of steal. The meat here also comes in bags and is prewarmed. Don't do it to yourself!!!!!

DO NOT. DO NOT. DO NOTTTTTTTTTTT EAT HERE UNLESS YOU WANT FOOD POISONING!!!! I just found this creature in my burrito (after I bit into it and tasted something bitter, yup.) All the staff had to say was "Sorry, can I make you another?!" I rightfully got a refund and told them that I hope they would be disposing of all the food, which it didn't seem like they were considering as they were already justifying how the bug could not have been in the meat, beans or rice and therefore would not be throwing those items out I have no idea if they or what they ended up tossing out... so save yourself from eating a bug burrito!

For the price of a burrito bowl, you could go out and get a decent meal with more umph in flavour. Granted, this is in the airport and the prices are jacked up. The chicken meat was the tiniest portion, and the flavour was quite bland. While I wouldn't give any stars for the food, the service was quite lovely and orders were made quickly so that passengers could go on their way and make their flights.

I absolutely love Smoke's Poutinerie and have been patiently waiting to try Smoke's Burritorie since it's launch a couple of years ago (somehow this was my first go at it). This place is located in terminal 3 at Pearson International Airport and is pretty easy to find. It had a decent size line when we approached but it moved at a pretty good pace. The only reason I actually got in line was because I really wanted to try the special chicken and waffle burrito they had advertised on a giant screen but sadly.....they did not have any, which made me pretty sad. I ended up ordering a steak burrito instead with rice, beans, veggies, and mild sauce on it. The burrito came to about $9 and was not enough to leave me hating myself. The burrito itself left much to be desired, sadly. I can't put my finger on it but as I was eating it I was just wishing I walked away and gotten something else. The steak wasn't bad, the beans and rice weren't bad, it just lacked something I can't put my finger on. If you are looking for a standard, no frills burrito then this is going to give you what you want. Sadly, I don't see myself coming back for another meal in the future.

I usually don't do off the cuff reviews so I let this sit for a week before I came back to do a review. Smoke's is killing it's brand with this location. Well, I don't know that for sure as I haven't been to any others, but I can't see the others being worse than this one. The menus are crazy, the food goes by so quickly, it makes it hard to focus on each item and make a selection. However, annoying as this is, my main issue is with the service. A fellow traveler and I stood waiting for someone to take our order for a full 5 minutes. At one point, three minutes in a lady came out of the back, looked directly at us and returned to the back room. I would have walked away at that point, but the lineups were too long at the other establishments, to make a move elsewhere. So we waited. After 5 minutes, an employee emerged, and then a second and then a third. None of them said hello, none of the apologized for the wait, none of them explained what they were doing. I waited, patiently, while the person in front of me was served by one of the staff, the other two ignoring the lineup. When my turn came, I was asked "What do you want?" I gave my order and as this is a burrito, many other questions were to follow. Each question came with an annoyed look, a quick stab at the food and a piddling amount added to my bowl. Flick, flick, flick, she couldn't care less what she was doing and that she was working in the service industry. After paying for it, I sat with my daughter (who luckily, got Chinese food from across the hall), and I dug in to my burrito bowl. It was bland and a small quantity of food, including the chicken in which I got three small strips. I'm sure this is all down to how this was prepared. This kind of service is unacceptable. Perhaps the airport should revoke their license. Maybe they won't have to. If things don't change here, they'll go out of business. Perhaps this is why all the other restaurants on the concourse had crazy lineups, but this had none.

It's a fast food place with good prices in Pearson Airport but I found that the food wasn't very fresh at all. Everything at the preparation counter had the appearance that it had been sitting there for a while. We had a burrito bowl. While the bowl itself is large, generally they don't fill it up much so to get value you'll need to ask for extra rice and beans as filler or be disappointed about your 7.49 purchase. Sour cream bottle top had a fancy tri-squirt top to make the bowl look Instagram perfect. Guacamole is free, but cheese and extra meat are extra. Ultimately I think this place is ok, if only because there isn't a Chipotle in the airport.

4 stars exclusively for the Fried Chicken & Waffle Breakfast Burrito. It also has scrambled eggs, bacon, and maple bacon dripped inside of it in addition to the chicken and waffles, so it was surprisingly filling and tasty for just over $10 after tax. Given the giant lineup at the neighbouring Tim Hortons versus how quickly I was ordering and eating, for the early morning factor I'm a fan of this.
