May 24, 2024 - My friends and I ordered takeout. This restaurant is small but quite a good amount of seating, staff is nice and friendly. Our order was ready pretty quickly. Probably in and out in 10mins. I really enjoyed my food. I actually thought at first that it wasn't enough (that's because they separated the soup from the noodles) but after adding the soup to the bowl it was quite enough. The noodles were perfect! Definitely will get it again. I think I ordered spicy, but my dish was just flavourful for me. My friends tasted it and said it did have lots of spices. Next time I go I'll ask for extra spicy Definitely worth going here!

Came here with my mom, and we each built our own bowl. I picked round noodles in soup with 3 toppings: fish balls, pork chop, and gluten. I also went with medium spice, which ended up being just right for me. The soup still has that distinguish HK cart noodle flavour. The fish balls had a nice chewy texture and a light curry flavour, the pork chop was soft and tender, and the gluten soaked up all that broth just the way I like it. My mom got pork intestines and pork pudding (blood curd), but instead of soup, she tried the spicy mixed noodles, which are dry noodles tossed in their house-made chili paste. She picked mild spice, but it was still quite spicy... more than expected! I actually ended up switching with her because my soup was more manageable for her, and the dry noodles were delicious but had a serious kick. We found out after that you can ask for the chili paste on the side, so you can control the spice better--definitely doing that next time! I also added a cold drink for $2.50 and went with the classic tea & coffee mix (yin yeung). It was strong, smooth, and not too sweet, just like the ones I used to get in HK. Super nostalgic. The portions here are filling, the toppings taste fresh, and you get to customize your whole bowl, which I love. It's a little spicy depending on what you order, so heads up if you're not great with heat. But if you're craving Hong Kong-style comfort food, this place is a great option. The flavours reminded me of home, and I'll definitely be back to try more combos (and maybe not go overboard on the spice next time)

Came here on a Sunday at around 12pm and had to wait approx 10 mins for a table of two. My husband ordered satay beef with rice noodle. I ordered their cart noodle: beef brisket and tendon (x2 portion) and gluten, mild spice level, with thick noodles. We also ordered a curry squid tentacles to share. We both got a hot milk tea. The noodle portions were extremely generous. I gave my husband a typical rice bowl size of my noodle and I still struggled to finish my order. Couldn't quite pick out the flavour of the beef brisket and tendon, but they were tasty and the textures were on point. The brisket was tender but not falling apart. The tendon was soft but held up it's shape. The gluten was a bit of a disappointment as I was hoping for "thin skin" ones, which are typically what you get in Hong Kong. Instead they were the thick skin, chewy ones. For a person who has a low spice tolerance, mild spicy was hitting my limit. Next time I'll order no spicy so I can enjoy the broth. The curry tentacles were also a generous portion size. I like how the curry was brown instead of bright yellow, probably due to the satay or sacha sauce. However, flavour-wise, it fell short of my expectation. The flavour was very muted amd lack complexity. I tried a bit of the satay beef and wow, it was good! The flavours were complex and it was not overly salty, like some HK cafes. The satay evenly coated the sliced beef and hung on to the meat tightly. We ordered our milk tea with extra milk and no sugar. I have to say, I was impressed with the milk tea! It was smooth and there wasn't a hint of bitterness.

Pretty authentic HK style noodles. You can customize your own toppings and noodles to your likings. We really enjoyed the skewers as not many restaurants make these. Restaurant was pretty clean and spacious. The service was also very good.

The good: I heard about this new HK noodle house that opened and had to try it. The owners supposedly opened these noodle shops in Hong Kong before, so this is as authentic as it gets! First off, the menu is easy to order. You get to pick the number of toppings and the noodle. I ordered the round noodles with beef brisket, fish balls and vegetable. The serving size is decent. I enjoyed the mild spicy sauce that I was able to add to it. The service was prompt and friendly. They were accommodating whenever I needed something. The ambiance is a simple set up. There wasn't much decor but I guess no decor is decor when it comes to a classic HK restaurant haha. The bad or needs improvement: I did find the chicken wings a bit heavy on the sauce, but still quite tasty! Tip: They are closed on Mondays!

Tried this cart noodle restaurant today and felt it was okay. We ordered the cart noodles and the noodles were a bit over soft, the soup was not quite strong enough, and the toppings were okay. Overall not impressed. On top of that, one of our bowls had a hair in it. I probably won't be returning unless the restaurants next door at the top full.

This place is located in the plaza beside golden plaza on highway 7. It is on the side of the building and you can not easily see it from driving as it is almost like a hole in the wall. The outside is very unassuming but my other half and I were on the hunt for some food to fill our bellies and we ended up here at Cart Noodle house. Cart noodle house is derived from the Cantonese of "cha jia meen" which is a play off the very classic original "cart noodles" that was very popular in the 1950's in Hong Kong and Macau. Usually a cart noodle has quick fast eats that are affordable. This place is unpretentious and is on point with everything that they do. We were instantly greeted upon walking in and seated right away. It was decently busy but not crowded. We were given menus right away with piping hot tea. The menu is small, simple and to the point. Nothing crazy, just a lot of variations of noodles and toppings is the heart and soul of this place. It was easy to order and was taken very quickly. English or Cantonese is welcome here when ordering. The server was detailed and asked for all options, left and what seemed like a minute later our table was filled with food all piping hot. My other half and I got two lunch specials where my other half got hainan chicken which was actually deboned! (Thats a bit of a rarity as a lot of places come bone in to save themselves time). The sauce with the hainan chicken was sweet and tangy with a very mild hint of spicyness that is along the lines of a Thai flavors. The rice, chicken and sauce was all good and on point. We also got the lunch special with noodles. We had the curry fish balls, pork skin with thin noodles. It was piping hot, noodles had a great bouncy chew and fish balls were cooked perfectly. Often times with small places you may find that the food is "over done" where its been sitting in its sauce all day and cooked to an almost mush. Everything here tasted like it was made to order, had a nice chew and flavor. There was no extra charge for cold milk tea (a bargain compared to other HK style cafes!) and the pricing was on the lower end compared to other restaurants but not a screaming deal. The table was clean and the environment itself was very pleasant,, not humid and slightly cool. Some noodle places when entering are very muggy and humid where they cheap out on the AC or humidity, this place was not one of them. The enviroment was clean and tidy, plesant, the food was piping hot with a nice bounce and solid flavors given its price point. All in all a good spot to eat it, though I dont know if I would go out of my way to eat here. Its a solid option but there is nothing here that would wow you and have you posting all over your social media that you eat here. Its unpretentious, fills your belly while not emptying your wallet. Nothing more nothing less, but solid all around.

Solid choice if you're craving cart noodles, or noodles in general. Located in a small plaza, just west of the commerce gate and Times Square area. Really simple and straight to the point menu for cart noodles along with a couple of staples from Hong Kong like imitation shark fin soup which actually was really good. Prices were quite reasonable as well. The cart noodle itself was very good. The broth was flavorful and the toppings were relatively generous. I had the beef brisket, pork, intestines, radish, and red sausages as well as split a bowl of imitation shark fin soup. I had picked mild and there was still a small kick. Extra small cost for a drink (hot or cold). Will be back for more!

I came here last sat for dinner at 6:30pm, not too many people, excellent service the waitress is very talkative and always check on every table. I find the owner is very passionate about food, he/she uses high quality fish ball, tea base and cart noodle soup base. Milk tea is a MUST try, I can tell they use high quality tea base. I also drank quite a lot of soup, but I never feel thirsty after a few hours provided that my msg tolerance level is quite low. Their Thai style marinated chicken feet is also very good, lots of flavor, the satay squid I found ok, more sauce than squid itself. Price is definitely on a pricey end with this presentation. There are a few things they can improve ... menu is quite misleading as I didn't know the drink is extra $2. Paper Menu is almost A4 size paper with 3 layers of sheet, they can just simply use a small paper (1/2 A4 paper). They need to work on the presentation as their competitor in Markham comes with different condiments like green onion, parsley etc.
