Really friendly staff who were both welcoming and helpful. Clean hotel. We like coming to the area for good food and the occasional visit to Toronto. This is our first stay at this hotel. Honestly it was a great hotel and we will definitely be coming back. Our room was clean and updated. The breakfast was hot with some variety. It was nice to see the hotel busy with lots of guests and each evening of our stay people hung out in the lobby. Lots of life in the hotel is a good thing! Even with a large number of guests the hotel breakfast was able to keep up with the demand. Parking lot was good. With the heavy plowed piles of snow and the fact that they shared a parking lot meant not as many parking spaces as needed so may need to search for a bit but we still always found one. Other than that no complaints. Our door to our room was funny and the shower made a noise at the start but these things are so minor. We will definitely be back.

Overall, my stay here was decent, but I wouldn't say this was the best Holiday Inn Express property I have stayed at. There were both good and not-so-good (but not terrible) things I want to go over from when I was here. First, the good. The room was clean and spacious, and the shower power was excellent. The washroom was of decent size. Staff was very friendly and made sure that I had a good stay here, which I did overall. Breakfast here is free, like all other Holiday Inn Express properties. It's nothing special - it's the kind of free westernized breakfast you would expect to get at a hotel that offers free breakfast. It's also nice to see that this hotel offers the "A Greener Stay" program for IHG Rewards members, where you get 500 points for every day you hang a sign out your door saying you don't need housekeeping services for that day. Now, on to the not-so-good parts of my stay. First off, the elevators. There are 10 floors in this hotel and only 2 elevators exist on this property - and they are sure slow to get to your floor, especially if you're on the higher floors. This was very frustrating, and I feel as if a third elevator would have helped reduce wait times. I also wanted to point out that the hallways leading to guest-rooms were really hot, temperature wise. I get it, I stayed here during a heat wave that was affecting the GTA, but some air conditioning would have been much appreciated. It didn't bother me too much, but I know that other customers may be more critical of this detail. I also noticed that the rooms are not very soundproof. I know this because I could hear the person next to my room coughing at times. Yeah, not great, so do be mindful of any noise you might make here. In conclusion, I would still stay here again if I was in the Markham/Richmond Hill area, but wouldn't necessarily go out of my way to stay here. A good hotel, but not awesome.

Stay here was Very Good!! The room is spacious 2 beds was comfy!! The breakfast is a must attend its included why not go. The cinnamon buns are a staple. Tasty breakfast. The gym is sort of small and the Pool was not well kept. If using these facilities i rated 4 star if i wasnt i would have rated 5*. THey fell short on the other 2. Can't really fault them there. Their team and staff is attentive and good. Would come back again. It's also near lots of foodie places just around the corner.

My flights got cancelled in late June 2023 and when I called to cancel my reservation for the two nights 6/28 & 6/29 I was told that it was non-refundable. They charged me for both nights even if I had let them know more than 24 hours before the check in time. Horrible experience!

Im in this hotel while writting this review. Its 1:30am and i just woke up from terrifying screams from a young lady screaming for help, as i opened the door to my room to see what the problem is... What i seen completely shocked me. There was a naked girl in the hallway being attacked by a guy as shes screaming for help. I was too frightened to help the young lady from her attacker and get involved personally so i immediately ran over to the phone to call front desk and get help for her. I am now in my room shaken from this experience. I will never return to this hotel.

Stayed there for 8 days in September and we think this is the Best Managed Holiday Inn Express in the World. We have stayed in Holiday Inn express from Hawaii to Singapore and Montreal, Canada.... and this is by far the best. The Staff downstairs are particularly hard working and helpful all the time. compared to anywhere. We cleaned our room ourselves, and we always were able to reload on Linen and other needs, as the maids seem to be always around. The service here is different than the Holiday Inn's around the world and the rooms and hallways is always spotless. The location is perfect if you like to hang out near Toronto Chinatown and nearby shops and restaurants. The Hotel reception area always has Hot Water and Coffee. Its fresh, Hot, and delicious .... thanks ! Rich Lee and Judy Ng

Really nice hotel. The gym was 24-hours, the indoor pool opened until later in the night. The breakfast was delicious. The room, we upgraded to the suite, but it wasn't as big as you would think a "suite" is. One night I was working out, (which, side note, the Yoga mats are terrible. They slide all over the floor. They have no grip. I almost slipped a few times.) and the hotel alarm came on, everyone rushed to the Lobby at 11pm at night. Fire Trucks came to check it out and we found that someone pulled the fire alarm. I love Holiday Inn Express - they never let me down. Everyone was really friendly at this place. I do recommend it to anyone visiting the area!

Through Hotwire.com I managed to snag a deal at Holiday Inn Express & Suites for $90 + tax. Starting price quoted from their website starts at $115. This includes complimentary wifi and breakfast. So I will start with the Breakfast lol. It's buffet style all you can eat, and the selections are your basic fruits, hot plate items, cereal etc. I like how it's not just a continental breakfast and that I was able to sit down to enjoy a hot plate. The quality of the breakfast is really nothing to brag about, but I was appreciative that I got hot breakfast! The room that I got was spacious. And I love how everything was clean, especially the bathroom. Not one strand of hair to be seen which usually grosses me out. And I love how the water actually drained down the pipe while taking a shower, so you are not standing in a pool of water. The only thing that I found wanting was the service at the reception. When I asked for the address of the nearest Shoppers Drug Mart, she told me to google it instead of helping me search for it. Hence the 4 stars, not 5.
