I've been to Jumbo Lobster Restaurant multiple times for both lunch and dinner, and lunch always stands out as a 5-star experience. Whether you're a seafood lover or not, there's something here for everyone--from fresh lobster to aged ribeye. The set lunch menu is a fantastic deal: starting at $108, it easily feeds four adults with generous portions and great quality. I've tried lobster prepared every way--steamed, stir-fried, soup-braised, deep-fried tycoon style--and it's consistently fresh and flavorful. Dim sum isn't their main draw, but I've been pleasantly surprised. The selection is limited, yet well-executed. The interior is spacious and upscale, perfect for hosting out-of-town guests or celebrating with family. Bonus: prices stay the same all week, and there are weekday specials for seniors--great excuse to bring your parents or grandparents along. If you're in the mood for a satisfying group meal with impressive presentation and reliable flavors, Jumbo Lobster is a top pick. Just make sure to come hungry and with a few friends--the more, the merrier!

Came here with my parents for our occasional lobster feast. I know the Toronto favourite seems to be the Fishman Clubhouse, but I honestly think this restaurant might just take my new top spot! Tea is $2.75 per person, but it was very good tea. You brew it yourself in a separate pot, then pour it into another glass container which is kept warm on a burner-like contraption. I was also charmed by how pretty and delicate the utensils were - right down to the tiny teacup because the "correct" way of drinking tea is apparently in small sips. The main feature was of course the famous lobster mountain. Piled in a heap and generously loaded with fries and crispy bits, it was quite a spectacular sight. We snapped on our gloves and dug in immediately. Delicious! The lobster was fried flawlessly, not overly oily but still maintaining that familiar flavour we all love. The quality of the lobster flesh does tend to vary a little depending on the day (and possibly season) though - sometimes it is buttery and tender, and other times you may find the shell to flesh ratio a bit higher than you like. The other dishes which came with the lobster combo were outstanding too - I particularly enjoyed the snow pea leaves, which somehow tasted both healthy and flavourful. Also, an order of har gow here comes with 6 (six!) pieces instead of the traditional 4!! Despite the place being extremely busy during weekend lunchtime (making parking quite difficult), the service was actually remarkably high quality. The hot water for the tea was constantly being refilled, and our requests for additional napkins or utensils were fulfilled promptly. In addition, when we noted that we were not fond of a chicken congee we had, the manager came out himself to offer us a complimentary dish for our next visit. I think the meal generally costs the 3 of us about $200, with plenty of lobster left over. Not cheap by any means, but the experience is certainly worth it every once in a while. Reservations are recommended as they always have a HUGE line whenever we go!

Came here with a group of four and tried their King Crab & Steak set for 3-4 people. The atmosphere really surprised me -- it feels more like a Western steakhouse than a typical Chinese seafood restaurant, very spacious and classy. The king crab was extremely fresh, cooked in different styles, and the steak was spot on -- not too rare, not overdone. Portions were generous, and we left completely full. Compared to the U.S., the price for king crab in Canada is much more affordable, which makes it even better. Overall, a great experience. I'm planning to come back in a couple of days to try their dim sum brunch. 我哋四個人嚟到呢間餐廳，嗌咗佢哋三到四人嘅皇帝蟹牛扒套餐。環境真係有啲驚喜，完全唔似平時去開嗰啲中餐館，反而好似一間高級牛扒餐廳，好闊落又有格調。皇帝蟹超級新鮮，有幾種唔同嘅煮法，牛扒火候啱啱好，唔會太生亦都唔會太熟。份量非常足，大家都食到好飽。最正係價錢比起美國平好多，可以食得好開心。總體嚟講係一次好好嘅體驗，過兩日我仲打算再返嚟試下佢哋嘅點心飲早茶。

This restaurant was over the top for me. The lineup to get in here was crazy. I didn't realize how popular this place was until coming here. The jumbo lobster was quite good. Lots of meaty pieces also. We steak was favored well but there were some chewy pieces which was disappointing. We definitely ate well and there was an amount of food. Unfortunately, their wait staff is very short staffed so we had to ask for things like missing cultery or drinks several times, even having to get up and flag the waiter which is not cool for a high end meal. The food was good though.

I have never been to such a fancy looking Chinese restaurant before. Service is incredible and they were so attentive. We ordered the combo A (king crab dinner for 3-4 people). Food was delicious and the crab was very fresh. However, I enjoyed the steak more and I liked how they served it with some candles under so if you wanted it less red, you can flip the red parts onto its side and it would cook. Coming from LA area, this meal was very reasonably priced!

Having been to both the old and the new location, I can definitely say I prefer this one better. It's definitely much larger so the tables are spaced more comfortably apart in comparison to the old location. I also really like the atmosphere and the decor. While the parking lot is big, it can be hard to find spots in the AM if you're going for dimsum. I have tried both dimsum and dinner here and it's not bad. I think the dimsum dishes are quite standard in terms of taste. Portion wise - everything seems to be slightly smaller than your average dimsum place (such as the buns and the rice wrapped in lotus leaf). PS - the restaurant is just as dim during dimsum. For some reason, I thought it would be brighter in the morning lol. For dinner, we usually get one of the set combos. At first, they had a promotion where you also receive a free steak with it. The last time, the price for the combo went up but the steak was "included" - not sure if that has changed again. We were going to order more food on top of the combo but the staff advised that it may too much. I'm glad they let us know instead of just placing the order because we ended up with a lot of leftovers with just the combo. As someone who doesn't love seafood, my favourite was the soup and the steak. The fries that came with the crab were soggy but still very addictive!

My friends from Vancouver were so impressed with Jumbo Lobster the last time they were in town, they made reservations before even arriving in Toronto this time! Of course, I was happy to join them. We had learned from the previous visit that we ordered too much food and had lots of leftovers after stuffing our faces. We ordered less this time around, with seafood being the main feature. Our meal started with a yummy soup of the day, made with chicken. Snow Peas Tips with Mushrooms, Dungeness Crab with Salted Egg Yolk, and a very tender Ribeye Steak on a hot plate appeared next. Lobster, the main feature, appeared next. Our set meal included two, with one stir-fried and the other deep fried with crispy garlic flakes and fries. That was followed by a Steamed Bass with green onions, and finally, a light jelly type of dessert. Everything was absolutely delicious and we still had leftovers. The service was excellent, with attentive staff deboning and serving our fish, changing out our dirty plates, and more. If you like seafood, Asian flavours, and fine dining, you need to experience this place at least once!

They have preset menus, which makes it easier to order with a group. It's a great place for group dinners or celebrations, serving Chinese food in an elegant setting. The interior is spacious with a classy design. You can also customize some of the dishes, like the cooking style. Overall, everything tastes fresh and high-quality. They even show you the crab or lobster before taking it to the kitchen to cook.

Went when they were doing a big grand opening special a while back. Got the Lobster HK Style Dinner for (2-3) which included a 4lb lobster, sweet and sour pork, steamed bass, poached snow pea tips and dessert. We also got their promotion steak and a roasted pig on the side. Obviously a ton of food and the highlights definitely were the lobster and roasted pig in terms of taste but I found the lobster and steak to be incredibly oily. They used a ton of butter which just made it extremely heavy and filling. The sweet and sour pork, bass and snow pea tips were nothing to write home about, just alright. My mom did get an upset stomach after this I think from it being really oily overall. It's an ok place but there's definitely a lot of options in the area for this style of Lobster dinner that will be better than Jumbo Lobster.

Weekly dim sum time with family is always the best! I love this resto and their angus beef rice rolls are one of the most delicious ones I've had in my life! Enjoyed every dish here and the restaurant is filled and busy in the parking lot which tell you that it's definetely a decent place considering the economy and market at this time (Aug 2025). Dim sum is $5.99 ea Mon-Fri, $6.99 ea on public holidays, Sat & Sun. Senior 15% discount from Mon-Fri on all cash payment for lunch on dim sum and lunch seafood combos. This is one of my top restaurant for dim sum while you get thr quality and value. Tea quality is also great, on par with Luna Private Banquet. Must order: *Angus beef rice roll *Shrimp spring roll (with salad dressing) *Octopus in braised sauce *Sticky rice in lotus wrap *Shrimp rice roll *Bean curd roll with assorted meat Come and enjoy dim sum if your a dim sum lover like me!
