Bad meal tonight .... Ordered the lamb pita. The pieces of meat are really small... I would have ordered the kabob on its own had I known. I had actually taken the time to ask the staff at cash whether the pieces would be the same size as the kabob. Way too much sauce. I asked for garlic and I wanted minced garlic like toum... before I could correct her the server was squirting sauce in the pita from those squeeze bottles meant for mustard and ketchup. This was on top of babaghanoush which already has garlic in it...like no reason to add liquidy garlic sauce on top of that.....I had to search for the meat with a fork. I had the picked turnips and they weren't tasty and were too salty. The whole thing was like a pita full of SLOP. Wouldn't order it again or would make sure the server wasn't using too much sauce. Wouldn't order the lamb again like this. I ate half of the salad items inside the pita but couldn't finish it - too wet and gross. Had to buy candy at convenience store afterward for a palate change - bad aftertaste etc.

Food was fine but: I am gluten intolerant and vegan. Since somebody else had planned, this meal, I reached out to the restaurant multiple times beforehand to see what options there were for me, nobody got back to me, even though I could see that my messages were read. When I got there, I reviewed the menu and was surprised to see even things that normally do not have gluten, such as french fries, roast potatoes, and falafel were marked with gluten. There was very little I could eat. I ended up getting a cold appetizer tray which for $19, for about half a cup of hummus, half a cup of mushrooms, and half a cup of roast eggplant. I asked if I could have rice on the side instead of the bread, she said she could not substitute, and I would have to pay for it. I did so, and received less than a cup of plain rice. When I got my bill, it was $34. The rice on the side, was over $7. Absolutely ridiculous that I spent $34 on a meal of plain rice, and 3 small dips. Extremely unaccommodating and also rude, I would not go back. If you have any kind of food, intolerances or preferences not recommended.

Sofra Grill is now called Sofram Mediterranean and the change is not for the best. I picked shawarma and rice takeout on a way home, shawarma was tasteless and salty, rice was overcooked and mushy. The interaction with the staff left much to be desired, needless to say this will be my last visit to this place.

It was good when it was Sofra. Once it changed it's name perhaps it changed owners because the food and service has nosedived. We gave this place many chances yet it continued to disappoint. Staff taking takeout orders are young, under trained and rude. The food is mostly bland, small portions and even expired ( serving unedible coleslaw that has gone bad). With so many other choices of Mediterranean restaurants this would not be on my list

Can't go wrong with Sofram! Everything is good and I think we've tried every dish. Appetizers are good. Soup is tasty. My kids love the Chicken Schnitzel. The adults like the Shish Kebob, both chicken and beef. The salads are good and the salad dressing is a family favorite.

I was tempted going there after seeing the reviews and food pictures. Well, I was not disappointed :-) A moderately clean nice small restaurant. Ample of parking spaces in the plaza. Service is good and prompt. I had Lamb Kabab, medium rare. It was at the upper end of average in terms of taste and quality. Price vs quantity, it's bit stiff. The meal comes with complementary salad, nicely served.

My return to Sofra Grill didn't happen because... Sofra grill does not exist anymore! it is called Sofram now. I was surprised, but the address and telephone number remain the same. The slight name change, coupled with the new signage and logo a- tells me that this was probably a commercial dispute or franchise disagreement and someone moved away from somebody (the names are similar and the menu and concept is the same as before) and b- This either happened a while ago or the employee I interacted with started today. When I walked up to the take-out counter and asked the girl there when the name changed she did not even know that this place was called 'Sofra' at some point!! She asked me what I am taking about. When I asked again she went to the back, returned and said, 'yes the name changed, but it's the same owner.' Well, how was the food? The food was good, the portions were adequate and my schnitzel and mango salad were good for lunch and dinner. They include their own creamy sauce and a hot sauce container, but I don't take sauce with food or salad as it defeats the purpose and I don't need to ingest the extra extra calories. The schnitzel was fine and the rice with it had corn and green peas mixed in it. I felt it was tender and the batter was light. The salad was plentiful and came with chicken that clearly was fresh and went well with the mangoes, baby spinach, onions and cucumbers. A couple of cherry tomatoes are thrown in for show. The dine-in was empty and there two people taking food out so people are smart enough not to take off their masks to eat and drink in an enclosed space. Take-out means no tip so coupled with the OK prices I feel good about this trip.

Liked coming here for years. Lots of food And you get full. Falafel balls were not good and I would not recommend them at all. The Moroccan cigars we're amazing. The chicken dinners and kefta we're done very well. Lacked a bit of flavor for my taste. Overall great value but nothing to wow about.

My manager buys food from here all the time. We had it for lunch one day and his wife's recommended the mango chicken salad. It was honestly so delicious, the chicken was moist, the two dressings (it's like white and the other one is like a yellow orange) is OUT OF THIS WORLD. My mom loved it also ! I would of given this place a 5 star but the only thing I would say is I went to pick up and the three girls working at the front were unfriendly and rude. Especially to other customers from what I've seen. You say thank you and they just give you a look. I completely understand if your having a bad day but it seemed like it was just their attitude. I worked in the food industry for 6 years and I would never let my anger from a customer out on another customer.

Do not come here, go to Me va me. I've been here many times with my family, good food, awful service. Tonight was next level. My dad asked for medium lamb and had to send it back twice because it was too rare. The servers are incompetent and hang around chatting with each other rather than working. Our server didn't ask how the food was or say goodbye or thank you to us even though my dad left a generous, underserved tip. He can be so oblivious sometimes. And of course they didn't adjust the bill at all after all their fuck ups. I live downtown and would never dine at a place like this but I go because my parents like it but when I say I'll never go back I mean it. There are way less dining options in Thornhill than downtown but there sure as shit are better places than this with friendlier service. I'd rather eat at McDonald's.
