Great Lakes Brewery is what happens when a warehouse starts brewing beer and never bothers decorating. The industrial vibe is strong, but the beer is fresh, and the flights let you sample a solid range. Pets seem to be allowed, which is already better service than some bars.

But let’s talk about what really matters—the $1.50 Costco hot dog. Every time I come for a beer, I somehow end up at Costco’s snack counter, questioning my life choices but fully committed. It’s tradition now.

Pros:
✔ Fresh beer, no complaints
✔ Flights are the move—good variety
✔ Bonus dog sightings (actual pets, not just the Costco kind)

Cons:
✖ Feels like you’re drinking in a repurposed shipping container
✖ Not exactly a place you’d linger for hours
✖ The hot dog pull is real—accept it or fight it

Final Take: Great beer, minimal vibe, and an unspoken agreement that you’ll be eating a $1.50 hot dog before you leave. Embrace it.

One of, if not the best breweries in Ontario...  if not all of Canada!   I might be a bit biased as they have phenomenal staff and service, plus great events with local talent and cuisine.

It's great that they are dog-friendly too.

Wonderful brewery serving their craft beers on tap and also bar snacks. A big draw has to be the spacious patio to enjoy the beer under the sun when the weather allows. Merch avail for purchase too!

I love the Great Lakes Stout. First tried it on tap at the Brain Bar in Hamilton. I've had a couple of cases delivered to Stoney Creek. $60, free delivery for a case of tallboys? Sign me up. Fantastic deal, delicious beer.

Ok place. Big patio. Not a huge selection of beer on Tap.  Many other places I would go to before coming back here.  Bathroom was flooded so gf was not impressed.
