We came here for happy hour. They have limited happy hour selection. The wine and beer at the happy hour rate is a good deal. We ordered bread and olive oil. It was supposed to be sourdough bread but it felt like cold white bread. It wasn't even toasted. The olive oil was rancid. We swapped it out for hummus and pita. The pita was too burnt for my husband but the hummus was very tasty. This place was on my list for the longest time but it ended up being disappointing.

The good: Went here for buck a shuck with my girlfriend on Sunday. Atmosphere is nice, we definitely liked the fact that they use actual candles instead of the battery operated ones that most restaurants use.

Staff was very friendly and food came out quick but we were sadly we were not checked up on during the meal. Would’ve appreciated a “how’s the food” or “did you guys need another drink”.

The bad: The charcuterie board really missed the mark for us as well. We got the first one on the menu, can’t remember the name but it’s the one available during happy hour if that helps. There were berries in honey Dijon mustard first of all lol (which definitely do not go together btw). Maybe some would like the assortment but what was on the board seemed a little unconventional. Sweet to savoury ratio was off in our opinion. Too many candied nuts and pickled veggies, and just not enough selection of meat and cheese.

We thought the oysters were a little more on the slimy fishy side and were also disappointed with the lack of sauces available to put on. But we noticed a bunch of other people had ordered oysters as well so maybe we just got an off batch.

Overall not a great experience but at least the staff were friendly and the vibe was nice so may have to give it a shot again some day

Came for the Espresso Martinis, got some food. Super Fresh Salad! Sat by the bar, great vibe and music. Super friendly folks. Recommend!

Cocktails were perfectly nice but not really impressive.  They've got a fairly limited selection so every drink really should be something special.  It's a fairly nice atmosphere but again nothing you'd really remember.

Came here for happy hour on a Wed, and it wasn't busy. The server was very friendly and attentive. We ordered the bubbles to drink, which was good. To eat, we ordered the octopus, which was absolutely delicious! We also got the bruschetta and the mussels in white wine sauce, which was also really good.

Jag har varit här för ett par olika tillfällen. Det är den perfekta platsen för en första eller vilken som helst dag, efter arbetet med drycker, sena kvällsdrinkar, flickor utekväll, eller verkligen något tillfälle. Dess svagt upplysta, lite av en romantisk atmosfär, med bra musikspel, ljus och fina möbler. Dess en riktigt trevlig atmosfär. Maten och dryckerna här är riktigt bra, de har specialkocktailor som förändras och kan också verkligen göra någon cocktail du ber om. De har också riktigt bra mat här, charcuteriebrädet här är allvarligt inget skämt. Om du vill ha något lite mer snyggt, har de en salladskockeri eller bifftartare, ostron etc. Också de har happy hour 4-7 DAILY, och det är en bra affär med cocktails, öl och vin, liksom mat. Och på onsdagar har de hälften av flaskor vin.

Melrose på Adelaide är en ny plats i centrala Toronto, på Adelaide och John. Det är en perfekt datumplats, en plats att börja din natt, eller en plats att gå senare. Den har helt fantastiska hantverkscocktails, inklusive en roterande cocktail på kranen. Dess stekbrädor är alla lokalt anskaffade, och på tisdag är de alla speciella. Det är ett måste - jag rekommenderar alltid det till alla mina vänner. Deras caesar är fenomenal - en cool ta på den traditionella. Jess är en av ägarna och är super trevlig och informativ / hjälpsam. Varje server jag har stött på har också varit super hjälpsam och trevlig att hantera. Jag ser fram emot att komma tillbaka till en vin onsdag, där flaskor är 50% rabatt. Detta är ett måste försök och jag kommer alltid rekommendera det till alla som letar efter bra cocktails i en hip miljö.
