Such a great spot! Order the paradise fries - they are delicious! They have a nice happy hour with $10 margaritas, fries and other yummies. Also the stuff is super hospitable - friendly and attentive. Will be back!

A bar located downstairs on Adelaide. They have inexpensive snacks and $6 rails during happy hour.

We got the paradise fries and my friend got a cocktail. It is good but the quality reflects the price. Servers were very nice.

There is a space where an event was being hosted, so it was quite loud. Fun vibes

Washrooms are upstairs.

I recently visited Paradise Grotto and was charmed by the lovely and beautiful patio, which felt incredibly cozy.

However, I was disappointed with both the food and the service. Although I understand there is a time limit for dining in, I felt rushed by the servers. Two different servers repeatedly asked if we had made our selections, even though we had just sat down and hadn’t had a chance to look at the menu. While I appreciate the attentiveness, the constant interruptions were frustrating.

Regarding the food, I tried the Tacos and chicken sliders. The Tacos were overwhelmed by a spicy sauce, making it difficult to taste the chicken or other ingredients. As for the chicken sliders, the smell was off-putting, and perhaps I am particular about my choice of chicken.

On a positive note, the Paradise Fries were exceptional. They were unique and tasted wonderful compared to other fries.

Had a reservation here on a Friday evening.

The place is in the lower level so it feels more intimate than spacious with the lower ceiling. They keep it fairly dim inside and the music is not too loud I’d say.

Had the Zombie cocktail; wasn’t expecting it to be so sweet, but it tasted okay otherwise. My friend had the orange creamsicle cocktail and that tasted less sweet than mine.

I was excited to try their spam musubi, but it was disappointing. The rice tasted stale and it wasn’t the kind of rice you’d expect for a spam musubi - texture-wise, and taste-wise.

Had some of their street tacos too: baja fish and the crispy pork belly. The baja fish was crispy which was nice. The crispy pork belly was okay. I found in both cases the tortillas were cold/ stale which brought down the quality of the dish.

Their shrimp katsu slider was interesting because it’s like a shrimp patty. It was a tough texture to bite through and wasn’t really a fan of the dish overall as someone who likes shrimp.

Their yaki skewers had a flavourful teriyaki glaze, and the tenderloin was pretty soft to bite through. They’re big pieces of meat as well so they can be filling.

Service was spotty throughout the night. They check in every now and then, but there were times that you’d be waiting a while to get service and the staff were just talking at the bar with each other.

If you’re sitting in the booths, and you’re sitting beside a large group, it’s easy for their conversations and even the movements in their booth to overflow into yours.

I think the place overall is fine for the price. I felt a bit disappointed at the end from what I was hoping it would be. It’s a decent bar to meet up with friends where i’d be focused more on the company than the food and drinks.

Recently visited this place on a whim and was thoroughly impressed - coming back twice in the same weekend. The cocktails were well made and delicious and the food was really good. I was very impressed with the portions and the flavour of the food. In addition to the food, the service and atmosphere were also both quite good. It was difficult to get a spot on their patio so I recommend booking that ahead of time if that is important. Overall had a great experience and would recommend to anyone looking for a new cocktail bar to try.
