Recently visited Taline that has been listed in the Michelin Guide. While they describe it as Armenian food with a Lebanese twist, I felt it was more Lebanese dishes with an Armenian touch.

The food was delicious and beautifully presented, and the modern interior was stylish and cool. However, it got very loud, making it hard to talk, which isn’t ideal for a high-end restaurant.

The service was good, and overall, it was a nice experience, though not exceptional. Worth a visit if you’re curious, but don’t expect anything groundbreaking

Was not sure what to expect but had several people recommend this restaurant.  Went with friends and we were not disappointed.  Staff were friendly and helpful.  Small restaurant with open kitchen to see the chef in action.  Comfortable non rushed dining experience. Went for the tasting menu with a wine bottle pairing. An excellent choice and good value given other tasting menus I have had. Food came out at a nice pace. Staff explained each dish, answered questions. Each dish was well prepared and presented. A mix of textures and flavours. Just excellent.  Highly recommend. Should mention cocktails very tasty and wine selection is great.

I hosted a small business dinner at Taline with a colleague from out of town and a few locals.  It was a really wonderful experience- intimate, warm hospitality and the food was just incredible.  This is more a place for a quiet chat and that suited our vibe perfectly.

The menu is both familiar and exotic at the same time.  Many of the dishes will be readily recognizable to most people - hummus, tzatziki , etc - but they are prepared in an Armenian style and an elevated presentation style which made for a memorable experience. But don’t be shy when ordering, there are uniquely Armenian dishes to be discovered that are delightful as well.

We went for a tasting menu program and our host walked us through a memorable set of dishes.  All I can say is save room for dessert because it is a bit of a show stealer.

I really wanted to love this place. The food was good, but wasn’t as creative as I would’ve hoped. We ordered the lamb medium rare as was suggested, but that showed up medium and cold. It was also abnormally chewy. We ordered the manti but that was sold out. Tabbouleh was nice, the feta dip was also good. The mushrooms were good but the dip that came with it wasn’t enough. The potatoes were good, although a bit too spicy. Overall ok food, but for the price point you really expect excellent. They might be trying too hard to access a particular market, but shrinking your portions and increasing your prices isn’t the way to go.
The service was slow too. Server popped in to ask if we wanted water then vanished without bringing it. Servers rotated throughout the night.
This place is also crazy loud for some reason. My husband and I couldn’t hear each other and had to settle for eating in silence.

Had a phenomenal first dining experience at Taline after wanting to visit for many months. The Sanak Nayeh is the best tuna tartare I've ever had in my life, and the other meze dishes I had (hummus and mantis dumplings) were equally delicious. Giving a spotlight to Armenian cuisine, Taline is a truly unique Toronto dining experience deserving of all praise.
