The Broadview offered a wonderful experience for a staff retreat. The rooms were well equipped, clean, comfortable, and modern. The food was also extremely delicious; well plated with fresh offerings, and a wide variety of drinks available. You got a very personalized service when you approach Staff, which is very seldom found in hotels these days. I definitely be revisiting.

Check in was a disaster. We had drove 4 hours to get to our hotel because we were going to a special event. We were already behind schedule due to all the traffic, so we were really just trying to get to our room as soon as possible. Parking is a night mare - there's a tiny alley way leading to what is barely a parking lot.. we almost got our car stuck multiple times because it wasn't properly plowed and there was tons of snow. When we finally did park (which was the only spot left) we headed to the hotel for what we hoped would be a quick process. Upon arrival, the girl greeted us nicely enough but then failed to tell us we had to pay for parking. Luckily, I had already done my research and knew parking was extra. After already paying for our deposit, we had to pay separately for our parking after I mentioned to the girl "do we have to pay for parking?" .. she gives us our room keys and room # - great. So we head up and try to get into our room - it's not working. It just keeps flashing red. So, we run back down and she seemed confused when we explained our problem. She "fixed" it on the computer and gave us the keys back.. 2 seconds later she realizes the issue was that it was input improperly on the computer. We run back upstairs and get into our "room" only to find a present sitting on the table for someone else.. this clearly isn't our room. We run back downstairs and explain what had happened. Finally a light bulb goes off and the girl realizes she put us in the wrong room. No kidding. 20 minutes of unnecessary run around. Rooms were nice, clean, etc.. food at your restaurant was sub par. I was expecting more for traveling 4 hours to Toronto ..

I absolutely loved this hotel!! I’ve stayed at MANY places all around and this was one of my favourite stays. The bed, pillows & linens were top tier quality, wish i could bring that bed home with me !! The decor, historic yet modern vibe, dining options, amazing location, and wonderful staff all were worth a 5 star rating. This will definitely be a regular hotel for me now that I’ve discovered it!

We booked a hotel room for a bachelorette party. While the room itself was nice, the service and internal communication were terrible.

First, we found rose petals under the bed (leftover from the previous guests) which means the room wasn’t properly cleaned. That is DISGUSTING. When we mentioned this at checkout and even noted that we had cleaned it up ourselves, the front desk worker simply said “oh okay,” took zero accountability, and didn’t even apologize.

Second, we tried to book a rooftop reservation for eight people. I was told to email because of the larger party size, which I did on Sunday, five days before the reservation date. I didn’t hear back, so I followed up on Wednesday. My friend eventually had to call, and only then did we learn they had the reservation down but had failed to communicate it to me. I finally received an email confirmation the morning of the booking, which is just poor organization and communication.

To top it off, my friend emailed to share our poor experience, and we received nothing but a generic response. Again, no accountability for their terrible service and communication.

This is very close to being a perfect hotel. It has a nice charm about it, good restaurants (ground floor & rooftop), and very friendly staff. We were super pleased with the stay. 4 stars mainly because it's just not a 5 star hotel. Rooms are a bit dated and tired but still trendy. Was a bit noisy in the sense that you can hear other doors opening and closing on the floor.

We were totally cool with that, it didn't bother us at all. Just worth noting.
