Laid back cafe which transforms into a cocktail bar by night. The service is friendly and attentive, drinks are on the expensive side but are well made. Food is very basic bar eats in the evening, so eat and come! Music is not too loud.

Came across Voodoo Child Espresso & Cocktail Bar while looking for a cozy spot on Thanksgiving night. My friend and I wanted to experience a slice of the holiday, and this cafe gave us the perfect vibe.

The warm, dim lighting created an inviting atmosphere, and the coffee—both the latte and cappuccino—was absolutely on point. Authentic, rich flavors paired with excellent hospitality made it a memorable experience.

Definitely a 10/10, and we’ll be back for more of that comforting coffee and welcoming service. A perfect place to unwind and enjoy a quality brew!

Found this amazing spot last minute, and i’m so glad we did. The espresso martini’s were amazing as well as the food. OMG don’t get me started on the food. I ordered the sourdough grilled cheese and pickles… IT HIT THE SPOT. Just everything about it was such an amazing experience with the settings of the place, to the food, and the drinks, they did not disappoint. I highly recommend them

This place has no wifi. Literally the strangest thing in 2025. I had already paid for my drink and my croissant only to be told of this afterwards so I just left (as I had to work). Pretty much donated $10. Don’t visit this place if you need to do work.

EDIT TO ADD: I now see several reviews that this establishment “prohibits” the use of laptops after 5pm because it “ruins the vibes”, and clients are only told of this after they pay for their drinks/food. Honestly get over yourselves. You’re a cafe.

Honestly such a great place to drink. Amazing service. 10/10. The drink itself is dangerously good. I can't stop thinking about it lol it was really good

It was a little quieter than expected on a Sunday evening but it still had a great vibe. Their signature drinks and espresso based drinks is what peaked my curiosity to give them a try. A really cozy and relaxed place for a date or to meet up with friends. I am looking forward to going back to try more of their espresso cocktails as it's nice to see something besides an espresso martini

Grabbed some nachos and a latte, what a weird combination, but it works! Their nachos were interestingly square, and had a healthy serving of jalapeño, salsa and sour cream on the side. It was delicious!! The nachos were also a good size, I think we could share it among 3-4 ppl depending on your appetite. The latte came with the standard art, and was delicious. Good bold bitter flavour, I very much enjoyed the oat milk latte. The wait staff was friendly, checked on us a few times to see if we needed anything, and was very informative.

4.5 I've only tried their coffee so I can only speak on this... Everything about this place is wonderful and I love bringing people here for a quality cup of coffee. I always go for a mocha and you know it's good stuff when they ask you what type of beans you want. Latte art is beautiful and if you don't know what to try, employees are very helpful Note: They have specific hours that you cannot work on laptops because the shop is pretty small. -0.5 for being it small which I completely understand is the charm of the place. In general not a whole lot of seating, and I find it to be a bit of a tight squeeze overall, LOVE

This review is only for the fridge pricing which is unclear and deceiving if you are drinking at the bar. A beer advertised for $6 in the fridge was then $9 after tax and a tip. Be clear on your pricing, you should write $6 take away/$9 at bar or something. Can't comment on food or coffee.

Voodoo child is a great low key spot for coffee, but this was my first time trying drinks and it did not disappoint. They have a large menu for cocktails and beer and if none of them are for you the bartender knows a few off the menu drinks, just let them know what liquor you like! We tried two from the menu and two that the bartender recommended and we had a great time!

Food was ok the service was VERY slow and the music was not good so not looking to go back anytime soon

The photos of their food on UberEats are a LIE. I ordered the grilled cheese with peameal bacon. The photo on UberEats showed the sandwich, cut in half, and gives you the impression that you get three slices of bacon. WRONG. There is ONE slice! And yet the photo shows 3 distinct thicknesses of bacon. The Herb & Garlic Sourdough Crostini's were tasty - but watch out - they are way harder than croutons - and if you're old like me, they may break your teeth.

Voodoo Child is a super cool little espresso and cocktail bar with good energy, quality coffee, great people, and tremendous service. Jason, Voodoo Child's owner, went above and beyond to correct a small mistake for me, providing some of the best customer service I've ever encountered. It's safe to say I'll be coming back, and you should, too.
