If you need balloons, come here. In a last minute decision to get balloons for a 30th birthday, I called Balloon Queen in the morning for a Saturday night party. The man who answered the phone was very friendly and answered all my questions regarding balloon height, table weights etc. My order could be ready within the hour and they were flexible on when I could pick it up. They close around 8pm so I was able to run some errands and pick up right before the party. I was very impressed with their service and their shop is super convenient on Queen Street. For two balloons "30", I paid $44 that included weights. Kinda pricy but worth it since its downtown.

I hate to give a small, local company 1 star but I think it's worth warning others who they shouldn't do business with, especially when concerning an important event. My first order was over the phone and I called around 12pm on New Year's Eve for 2 last minute balloon trees. They said yes and charged a pricey delivery fee which is understandable. They ended up being 1.5 hours late, but again, I didn't complain because I know the order was last minute. After the event, I called asking for a receipt because they never emailed it to me as promised. I called, emailed, called some more and finally 3 weeks later I get a receipt. During one of those emails, I placed a simple helium tank order for delivery and followed up multiple times and each time I was told all is well and in place. Finally I get a PayPal invoice and it was a bit higher than expected. I asked if I could return the tank the next day to save half the delivery and the owner said yes. My order was scheduled at 12:30 that day, so I called at 1:40 asking where the tank is. She said that she thought I didn't want the order anymore and the earliest she can get me my balloons is at 4pm!!! My event started at 5:30pm. I hung up and vowed never to do business with these people again. I also heard through the grape vein that this isn't the first time this company has done this. If you want good service and balloons delivered on time, look elsewhere.

I'd love to write a great review. I'd love to write a bad review. After 4 phone calls, two emails, and two knocks on the door over two different days, and no callbacks... it seems they're not interested in doing business with me. I found another provider up the street that answered their phone almost immediately and offered to deliver for a very small charge. They'll get my business from now on.

Balloon queen just saved me!!! I ordered from gift blooms today for balloons for my Dad's birthday today. I received an e-mail after 1 pm from gift blooms, (most same day delivery time cut off is 1 pm) stating the "delivery associates have issues at their end, Not processing the order until tomorrow". Balloon Queen staff were very accommodating and squeezed in my order for delivery today! Thank you!

Excellent owner who runs the place. I had an engagement shoot during the Victoria Day long weekend (Monday) and decided last minute to get some helium balloons. I called around to try my luck and low and behold, Catherina, the owner had picked up on her cell. After a brief conversation, where I explained the situation, she agreed to open up shop to help me out. All in all, I got the balloons I wanted, at a decent price and I got them on a holiday! Great service! Definitely recommend for all your balloon needs.

Thank You, Balloon Queen!! What a great business. On Wednesday morning I called to arrange balloons for later that day and not only was Balloon Queen able to provide me with some fantastic balloons, they were able to deliver them to the restaurant in advance of my party. When something went wrong with one of the balloons, they arrived with a replacement within 30 minutes of my call. Totally saved the day! I would highly recommend Balloon Queen to others and I will definitely use them again myself.

I ordered balloons for my corporate event. Balloons were scheduled to arrive at 10:30 am and event to start at 11:30. No sign of them, called the 647 number, nobody answers and the voice mailbox is full. Sent emails and no response to that either. At 1pm, in the middle of the event the Receptionist comes looking for me to say Balloons arrived and she has asked the lady to wait so I can speak to her. By the time we reached the Reception, she had left the balloons behind the reception desk and gone. No phone call, no email, no form of apology or explanation for the two and half hours delay. Mind you I had given credit card prior to the event and it had already been processed. They even charged me extra to bring the balloons up the 6th floor and yet they could not deliver on time nor call to apologise. Won't be doing business with them again. Now I see another similar review. They believe in charging but service is next to nil and don't have the courtesy to call and take ownership of their actions either.

I was referred to Balloon Queen by a colleague. Ordering the balloons was easy. HOWEVER, the delivery was a nightmare. I was told that the balloons would be delivered between 11AM and noon, for my event that started at 1PM. I'd made special arrangements for someone to be onsite at 11, to receive the balloons within the window of time I was given by the company. The balloons did not arrive by noon. They did not arrive by 1PM. When I called to ask for an ETA, I was bounced around and not given a straight answer. I finally got ahold of someone after several unanswered calls and was told they were running late. My balloon order finally arrived 20 minutes AFTER my event started and well after my guests arrived. What makes it worse, was that there was NO apology and no follow-up. To say that I was "displeased" is an understatement. I will not be ordering from them again.

I have never dealt with a small business that cares so little about their customer. Had a billing and delivery issue that they were completely unwilling to resolve. Will never use their service again and will be sure to tell friends and family the same. Shady business practices hidden behind "god blesses." Be warned.
