Relatively new sub that seems to market itself to be on the premium side based on the price. Ordered the meatball and thanksgiving turkey. Ingredients are definitely steps above other subs chains and they definitely are more generous as the subs were heavy. Both the meatball and thanksgiving turkey subs were good.

Firehouse Sub was founded by two brothers, both firemen. The first location was in 1994 in Florida. They also have a charitable foundation, inspired by the wrath of Hurricane Katrina. There are 80+ locations across Canada, with this location being the latest to open. Their meat are steam infused with flavour. They use an air-tight steamer. The steam releases the flavour and reinfuses it back into the meat. I ordered the 6ix Sub (medium $12.49) because it is uniquely offered at this location only. It was extremely delicious! 6ix Sub has honey ham, smoked turkey, Genoa salami, provolone cheese, and cheddar cheese. They also give you a long slice of pickle on the side. I also ordered a pop (medium.$3.09). They give you a cup and you use a self-serve freestyle pop machine that has 200-300 flavours. The customer service is excellent. There is adequate indoor seating. They will bring you order to your table. My Sub took them 5 mins to prepare. You can donate money (directly or via rounding up) to the Firehouse Subs Public Safety Foundation of Canada charity, found in 2015. If you donate $3.00, you get an empty, recycled pickle bucket. The foundation will give a grant to fire or police dept, twice a year. They donate lifesaving equipment, prevention education tools, scholarships and continued education fir public safety officers, and natural disaster support. They soft-opened on 2024-10-17. There is no predetermined date for the grand opening yet There is free WiFi. The restaurant is wheelchair accessible. There are two gender-neutral washrooms, one of which is wheelchair accessible. There is paid neighbourhood street parking. There is one high chair for little children. Review 2024-209

This was horrible! The cream of broccoli soup was extra thick, lumpy and cold. Nasty! The sandwich was mediocre at best, small and overpriced. Belly Buster still reigns supreme!

I've been waiting for FirehouseSubs to come downtown for years. The closest one for me was stockyards, which is over an hour away, and I only went there because it was close to my work at the time. So I've been excitedly awaiting the opening of this location when they announced it at end of last year. And let me tell you it did not disappoint. I came on a day where they were doing a promotion when you wear a Leafs related item like a jersey or a hat. He got a free medium hook and ladder sub so I came in to do just that. When we walked in to the restaurant, we were greeted with all the staff welcoming us in with their signature firehouse welcome. The cashier at the front was very nice and helpful with our order. When you order one of their subs, you get the option of white or whole wheat bread. The wait time for our sandwich to be ready was about five minutes, but that give us time to find a seat look around because the decor was beautifully designed with fire station related decor. They have a massive fountain drink machine with tons of different flavours and they even had wedges of lime packaged up in individual containers to make their signature cherry limeade drink. Riverside, the sub pick up was the sauce bar that came with about 12 sauces and they were containers on the side if you wanted to take some sauces to go. We took three sauces, and then went back for one more just to try a different one and they were all really delicious. The sandwich itself was very impressive. My expectations were exceeded. I got the whole wheat vine in my partner got the white bun and they were both incredibly soft and pillowy. The toppings were loaded in and it even came with melted cheese inside. The toppings tasted really fresh, and the pickle which I believe is housemaid had a nice crunch and sour dill taste just like a pickle should. I'm already planning to go back again and every other week. I have subs are my favourite subs in Toronto, and you should definitely try them out. PS. the subs are on the price your side, and I usually like to get the Italian trio but the hook and ladder was actually really delicious but if you do want some thing a little bit more cost-effective, you can make a build your own sub, which comes with one meat of choice, and you can add all of the fresh produce toppings, as much as you want (except for the premium toppings, what she can pay for an extra charge). This works out to be just over $13 for a large.

I am sorry (not sorry) because the hot sauce gimmick is just that. A gommick. I mean a few dirty looking bottles of hot sauce do not compensate for the small and very expensive subs. I am not going to pay $18 for a 'combo' that leaves me hungry. I mean do they expect the customer to put a whole lot of sauce to fill himself? Mr Sub is a better value.
