WARNING FOR POC: if you are a person of colour: Do. Not. Go . Here. I've been here twice, both times it was on a Sunday. Whoever the waitress who works on Sunday evenings is incredibly rude and mean. She has black straight hair. She is like terrible. Don't know what happened in her life to make her have such terrible energy gosh, I don't leave bad reviews usually but I feel I should warn other poc or honestly anyone is general from having a bad experience. I've worked customer service all my life and still do; I know that dealing with people can be difficult and ik how hard it is working a person facing job so I always do my best to be a good customer. The waitress who works here on Sundays (both Sundays I was here) was ruder to me than the drunk guy who was shouting and being belligerent. The bar was empty too so it's not like there was the stress of a rush or lots of orders to deals with. There were other white ppl she was much nicer to. I was the only poc. Yea, like, drinks are cheap but it's always empty and for good reason lol. POCs, go to Film Cafe or other better bars in the area. Kensington has much cooler and welcoming spaces. Cheap drinks are not worth the rude and mean staff. I felt so terrible after visiting here, especially after reading the other good reviews of this place. Ik how it feels to be treated and talked down to, I don't want other poc to go through that especially young students on a night out. Go somewhere else, don't risk it. * left the same review on Google and Trip Advisor to warn as many ppl as possible. Don't be fooled by the other good reviews by ppl who are not POC.

I finally went to the new location after being torn about it since I had so much love for the old location. I was right about being disappointed in the new building, but honestly nothing can compare so I'm trying. They have done wonders from what used to be Crown and Tiger, it's unrecognizable. The old location had a vibe and aesthetic that can never be copied, though they certainly have tried here. We came later on a Friday night and were still seated promptly, seen, and serviced with impeccable timing and professionalism. I had ordered a dirty martini to start and when I asked for one that wasn't dirty as a second drink, the waiter helping us out left and came back quickly to double check as I had changed my order. It was appreciated and I've never had another member of a wait staff be that attentive! We didn't have any of the food but the table next to us ordered tons and it all smelt delicious. As sad as I am to say goodbye to the old place I'm just as delighted that the name lives on.

It's a dive bar. But a big dive bar! A pretty decent choice if you have a big group looking to grab drinks. And they take large reservations! Sure it's not fancy, but the beer is cold and not too pricey. The mixed drinks I found to be waaaay too sweet, but some folks seem to love them! You order and pay at the bar so it's a pretty quick and easy system. Honestly the only thing I didn't love was that they started blasting music reeeally loudly at about midnight and it became hard to talk to people. A bit annoying when you're there to socialize rather than dance!

Do not go here if you are scared of Covid because it is not safe what so ever. However, it has an amazing vibe, the prices are fair, and I just overall always have a good time when I come here

We only visited for a quick drink while waiting for a table across the street. Great place to grab an array of food and drinks for cheap prices. Have loved red room and its menu so green room was not different. Lots of vegetarian and carb heavy options. Lots of tables and seating areas. Service is a pretty decent but could be a bit quicker. I had their Apple cider and it was delicious, their well drinks were cheap and made well enough. Lol Their fries were our only food order and good portions and crispy!

Where do I begin? Customer service was nonexistent. Even with only 2 tables being used in the place on a Sunday night, the server would not make eye contact with us or come by to see if we needed anything, not once. We had to walk up to the counter where she was eyes glued to phone unmoving for upwards of 10 minutes. Overall, she just didn't seem competent. The decor of the place is atmospheric like the previous Green Room, maybe dingy, but more lived-in than anything. It's a comfort place. The new menu is well designed and attractive. It was easy to find what I was looking for (Muchos Nachos) and how much for a side like guacamole is directly listed. Very easy. The food was bland and the toppings were weirdly clumped in one spot. Nothing special, poor display, but whatever. We were hungry. On finishing and going to pay, I was trying to hand her $10 and a tip (felt bad, I guess), but she was trying to dash away from me back to the counter and nearly had trouble taking the money. It was like she just wanted to get away and back to what was happening online. Overall, poor service and attention, plain and bland nachos, didn't try any drinks. Didn't seem to have any Hot drinks either; maybe that's because the place is new but she didn't seem to know how to make a cup of tea and coffee was out of the question. When we asked about the hot apple cider on the menu, that was also foreign to her so we gave up asking. Won't be coming back, at least not for another 4-5 months while they get their shit in gear. Still, Great for large groups. Cheap. Comfy. Which is why we come. Oh, remembered one more thing. She asked if we'd like to split the bill, for one item. I wonder how that would have worked if I had said yes...

Great food selections, there is something for everybody! The low prices also are great for people who are going out on a budget. Good service, as well.

This is by far not the Green Room you likely remember. While that's not necessarily the worst thing it also seems to lack that certain ambience and charm the older location off Bloor used to have. While the menu has some of the favourites of old it has also largely changed. Plenty of vegan offerings especially if you talk to your wait staff. Very friendly and helpful. The location has a bit of a weird smell (or maybe that's just where we wer sitting) and some of the furniture is a bit worse for wear but that's the charm of a dive bar isn't it? Prices are fairly reasonable and portions are good. If you're in the neigbourhood and looking for a friendly and reasonably priced place you could do a lot worse.
