The stadium renovations are amazing and creates many areas to just hang out and chill. Family friendly entertainment at an affordable cost (tickets). Food is overpriced so bring your own snacks or eat before getting into the stadium. The Jays are exciting this year and with the revamped in game entertainment and new rules the games are shorter. First game - I took my 5 year old and we had so much fun. Second game was a business event and everyone had a great time. Go with family or go for business - but just go! Go Jays!

Tickets are decently priced and not as expensive as say hockey or basketball.. I was surprised that the prices of the tickets were decent for the first round of 2025 postseason. Unlike other sports venues, you are allowed to bring bottled water and your own food, as long as it is well packaged. Heck, you can even bring a large pizza in! No more highway robbery of expensive food at the stands. They do have a bag policy restrictions so check carefully before heading there. The place is huge and you can definitely walk around throughout the duration of the game. The nosebleeds section all the way to the top are kind of awful that you might feel dizzy just sitting there. THey do let people standing watching the game at the main level but you get blocked by the top ceiling. Baseball games may be long but now they have a time limit now so that the game does go a little faster. People tend to show up in the later innings so the seat(s) you think may be empty may not end up being empty anymore. Sometimes, the staff does let you in the empty seats, even if you don't belong to the section. It depends on how nice the staff is. Parking can range from $10 to $30. A short walk from Union Station to the stadium. Many entrances to the baseball stadium.

Going to a Blue Jay's game is a must do anytime I am in Toronto! Even if you aren't a huge baseball fan like myself I always end up having so much fun with my friends. The atmosphere is energetic, the crowd is lively, and there's always something exciting happening on the field. You can't forget to get some classic stadium food as well. I opted for the chicken strips and fries, which was a huge portion and super delicious. Whether you're there for the game or just for the experience, it's always a fun time at the ballpark!

Tip: Jays tickets are cheap. I have purchased a Jays 500-level ticket for $20. I'm sure that there are cheaper options if you go at the last minute. Similar to the Toronto Maple Leafs, I grew up watching the Toronto Blue Jays when games were televised. I also listened to games on the radio, which I didn't do with the Leafs until I was an undergraduate student. More about that part of my life a bit later. I listened to the Jays on the AM radio dial at home. I remember how popular the Jays were that I'd be at my dentist and I'd be listening to the game with my mouth wide open. The Jays dominated the American League division between roughly 1985 and 1993. The Jays won back-to-back World Series championships. I remember being an undergraduate student, watching the game and the score between classes. There were TVs set up at Glendon College, York University in various hallways. I did Linear Algebra homework in front of the TV, with Jays games on, at home. I managed to pass the course. I'm not sure how considering how much time I spent watching each playoff game! The Jays rosters for those two championships were amazing. Alomar. Carter. Olerud. White. Winfield. Molitar. Borders. Stottlemyre. Wells. Ward. Henke. Bell. Sprague. Guzman. Gruber. Key. That roster was incredible. To this day, my favourite closer (pitcher) is Tom Henke. He was a force. You could rely on him to close the game and have the Jays win. Winfield and Molitar hail from Saint Paul, MN. Little did I know that I'd end up living in Minnesota for two years and spending a lot of time in Saint Paul for hockey. I have attended a handful of Jays game in my lifetime. I remember my first time at SkyDome before it became Rogers Centre, taking in a game with the dome open. I had decent 200-level seats, just behind home plate. I forgot sunscreen, so I caught some sun that day. The next time was for a corporate event in the late 2000's. We had 100-level seats. I don't remember much about the game, as I was the marketing person taking photos of everyone enjoying it. I do remember having fun and hanging out with folks more than keeping score. A couple of weeks ago, I returned for Work from Dome. My employer made it an event to have us in section 515 to take in an afternoon game. The dome was open. My team moved with the sun, taking cover under shade. Sadly, the Jays lost. We all had a great time despite the outcome. The Jays look strong this year. We've got Guerrero Jr signed to a long-term contract. Bichette. Springer. Santander. Lukes. Clement. It was nice getting re-acquainted with the Jays. I'm more of a hockey fanatic these days, but it was nice knowing that I still love the Jays and baseball. (175)

Twenty of the current 30 teams in Major League Baseball have won two or more World Series championships. The Toronto Blue Jays are one of those 20. The Jays won back-to-back World Series in 1992 and 1993. Back-to-back championships are impressive in any sport. It's really hard to repeat as champions. Something else that's impressive about the Jays is they're one of only two teams to have a perfect winning percentage in the World Series with multiple appearances. The Miami Marlins are the other team (1997, 2003). All-time, the Jays fall right in the middle of MLB in terms of regular-season and postseason wins and losses. I remember the Jays of the early 90s. They were popular. Hall-of-fame, switch-hitting, second-baseman Roberto Alomar may be the most renowned Jays player from both the Jays' championship era and all-time. The '92 World Series was a 4-2 series win over the Tom Glavine-John Smoltz Atlanta Braves. The '93 World Series was another 4-2 series win, except over the Philadelphia Phillies. One of the greatest moments in baseball history occurred in series-clinching Game 6 in 1993. Team leader Joe Carter hit a three-run walk-off home run to win the Jays' second-straight title. He and the Pittsburgh Pirates' Bill Mazeroski are the only players to have ended a World Series with a home run. It doesn't get any more clutch than that. Those years, they advanced to ALCS, but fell 4-2 to the Kansas City Royals and 4-1 to the Cleveland Indians, respectively. 2015 AL MVP Josh Donaldson was on both of those teams. Finally, I can't write about the Jays without mentioning the late, great Roy Halladay. He played for the Jays from 1998 to 2009. Six of his eight All-Star appearances were with Toronto. He won the Cy Young Award twice. His first was as a Blue Jay in 2003. He was on the cover of Major League Baseball 2K11, not long after joining the Phillies, and inducted into baseball's Hall of Fame in 2019. Rest in peace, Doc.

The Rodgers Centre was very nice, but the ushers are like the Nazis. Also, you have to buy tickets online. You cannot buy tickets at the box office. Pathetic!! A German tourist was so confused.

Rogers Centre is a concrete bowl with fake grass [2**]. But it has a retractable roof which opened while we waited for the game to start [5*****], and the CN Tower looms over the field when it's open! [5*****] The Blue Jays are bums [1*], but there's good chow and real mustard in the mezzanine [4****] and craft beers, but no Molson on tap [1*]. I am conflicted. The Lovely and Gracious Mrs. YIeper and I purchased a scalper ticket for about half face, and I thought heck no one's here for a Monday night game, we should be able to wiggle our way down near first base. NO DICE. Every isle had someone checking tickets. The result: 6k attendance looks like 2k on TV because everyone is scattered all over the place. Stupid practice by the TBJs. I understand keeping people away from home plate, but let us hard scrabble ruffians sneak our way into an outfield seat in the lower section. We had to sit at the top of the 3rd level, with no one within 30 feet of us. +2** for the die hard loyal Blue Jays fans in this poor deprived baseball town. You deserve a better team. I am not conflicted about that.
