Honestly this was a total mess. Getting into the park was a scarier experience than anything else. We had to take transit to get there and when security told us we couldn't bring backpacks, we felt totally screwed. We thought we could stash them inside lockers but then we nearly got kicked out because of it. I don't understand why we were getting so much shit for bringing empty bags to a theme park (I just use it as a way to stash my glasses, wallet, keys and other items, y'know, the things you'd hate to lose on a ride) but the security sternly told us that they can't risk our items being stolen and their park getting sued. That makes no sense to me but then again, I'm sure people have tried before and likely succeeded. Also, side tangent: why are there staff who stand at the front of the odiously long ticket lines who tell you to your face that it's cheaper to buy the damn tickets online? Thanks asshole, it's not like I waited 30 minutes here. That info sure would have saved my skin since I only get about five hours to spend at your park anyways. The staff are incredibly hostile for the most part. That being said, I don't envy their job in the fucking slightest. They likely have to deal with many alcoholic patrons or uncooperative people (who probably have the same backpack issue as I did). Thank Christ, I stashed my backpack behind a fence and it wasn't stolen. Wish I didn't have to put up with this much shit over an empty backpack but here we are. Please don't go into Halloween Haunt expecting that you'll go on a ton of rides. Because the occupancy isn't monitored, you're going to have a hell of a long wait to go on any of the three mega coasters to the point that it's far from worth it. The other rides are packed too so you really have to plan ahead and prioritize. My advice: just go on Flight Deck ten times. I don't know how but that is the deadest line I've ever seen for a roller coaster that big. Probably because it has notorious whiplash problems. People: just keep your head back the entire ride and you won't box your ears! Ah whatever. The food is wicked pricey and unfortunately you can't have access to the park once you walk out so don't bother picnicking or stopping by Subway. They got you by the balls the second you step foot. How about the actual mazes? Well, out of the five mazes we went through, only one spooked me, the others were just people standing still and popping out for a second. Nothing all that eerie or effective. I get that the staff have to stand around the same room for five hours straight and they thankfully don't do anything stupid like touch you but there's really nothing all that scary about a guy wearing a mask walking past you when you're surrounded by twenty people already brushing past you. I have more appreciation for the employees who saunter around the park and spook patrons since they're a bit more sociable. The one maze that did spook me was the mansion since they have paintings that slide open for employees to shriek at you. My friend spilled Soda all over his jacket and that made me die laughing more than anything. There is something to be said about attending Wonderland at night. The lights, spectacle and creepy royalty free Halloween music fit the season nicely. It's just a damn shame that there are so many drunk people interspersed with way-too-young children. I really don't think it was worth spending $90 either.

Save your money. The 6 haunted Halloween attractions cost extra in 2025. Me and my 2 kids have been going for years and this was part of the annual pass and a tradition for us. This was extremely disappointing as that was one of the perks in getting the pass and we are no longer going to be pass holders as there is no value in it anymore for us. Extremely disappointed how this was rolled out by Canada's Wonderland with no notice.

you buy a season pass the prior year and it says Halloween haunt included. now they charge you extra to go in the haunted houses even though you paid for it already.. the reason "policy change" as in we changed our policy after you bought your pass, too bad

Ticket sales needs to capped as it really takes the fun out of the experience. The event starts at 7pm and ends at 12am. All rides and haunted houses were 1-1.5 hour waits and you will consume most of your time waiting in line. The amount of people were a LOT, it really needs to improve. Tickets for entry were 45$ and 30$ for parking. This event felt like a price gouge galore, and really defeated the experience. Please save your money and time, it really isn't what it used to be.

I don't understand why this has such low reviews. This event is amazing. Wonderland has a different vibe at night time. Spooky sounds, lights, smokes, and decorations all over the place. Scary monsters will jump scare you at any moment. Many monsters were surprisingly pleasant though. There was a dance party going on as well. The DJ was great and everyone was doing Fortnite dances. Some rides were closed, others operated with a halloween twist. Check out bumper cars, that's all I'm gonna say! I noticed some reviews mentioning haunted houses. I'm guessing those were cancelled due to COVID or maybe I just missed them. Right now you can buy 2022 gold pass which includes unlimited admissions to 2021 & 2022 halloween haunt and winter fest plus discount on food for $100 ($8.33 a month for the next 12 months). Honestly the price is such a steal that buying single tickets is basically a rip off.

Worst experience ever going to an event! Just getting into Canada's Wonderland was a nightmare. It took us an hour and a half to drive 760 meters on Rutherford Road to turn left onto Canada's Wonderland Drive. People were cutting in front in the intersection and some cars were being so aggressive you had to let them in or they would run into the side of your vehicle. Canada's Wonderland should have seen this being an issue and had off duty cops or someone directing traffic and helping the flow of cars to prevent this debacle. It took us another 30 minutes to actually get into the parking lot which cost us another $30.00 on top of the $150.00 we spent for our two tickets. Going through the gates was ridiculous. People were being told at the gate that they could not bring any bags in and some were forced to have to leave their bags on the ground at the entrance of the park. We were herded through like cattle with everyone pushing and shoving and it didn't get any better once inside the park. The park was overcrowded with everyone basically on top of each other. I would be extremely surprised no one got hurt. My spouse and I were constantly having people running into us and stepping on our feet as we were moved through the very unscary park. Half the rides seemed shut down and there wasn't very many "terrifying scare zones" and the ones we saw were far from "terrifying". If you wanted to go on a ride or through a maze the average wait time was an hour so you could only go on a few before you would have to leave the park. The place was extremely overcrowded and we ended up just leaving after only being there for two hours as it was an extreme waste of time and money.

Way too many people. I spent the whole night waiting and ended up doing very little. Clearly a cash grab from wonderland to get as many people in as possible. The experience sucked and that was my last at wonderland.

The scariest part of this experience is dealing with the thousands of guests and then the associated very long lines for EVERYTHING! Parking is a Nightmare, Lines to washrooms are a Nightmare. Lines for food is a Nightmare, lines for rides are a Nightmare. In 4 hours we were only able to make it through 1 ride and 1 haunted house. This experience would have been much better if Wonderland would not be so greedy and instead of allowing a more reasonable amount of guests they greedily allow as many guests as the parking lot would allow making the experience "A nightmare" but not in the way you were hoping. We will never attend this event again and would strongly encourage others not to subject themselves to this incredibly sub par experience!

I would put 0 stars if I could. Canada's Wonderland Halloween Haunt is getting worse by year. There were only 5 mazes this year, we only entered 3 that were conjoined together (just horrible lol), the other 2 (cornfield maze and another one that I forgot the name of), the line was about a 2 hour wait (we asked the worker that held the sign).., tickets are WAYY too overpriced ($92 per 1 ticket) so glad I'm a CAA member we only paid $50 a ticket.. I understand COVID lost a lot of workers but not even a lot of people working at the Amusement Park, it was absolutely horrible and extremely overpriced. unfortunately we heard a lot of of similar comments from people walking past us or in lines.

Halloween haunt always used to be good. I don't know what happened recently. It became too kid friendly to the point where it's not scary. And now there is only 5-6 haunted houses. Before there were around 8-10 and some were actually pretty scary. Very disappointing....
