This is THE patio to land yourself in Thornhill on a schewty day. Yes the prices are a bit high and there is now a 25% tip option o. the tap but ... A great option for Thornhill for a cold beer with iced glasses and $20 nachos + extra fir protein. The server was on her own but still managed a great smile and attentive to her customers on a Weednesday afternoo . The patio is fantastic and take it for what it is, a fun pub option where old and young alike can schmooze and get a bit of a buzz fo4 a reasonable price. -Zuk

The patio in the summer is the best part of this restaurant. The food is okay, just like any other pub.

Food taste was ok, but portion for the price they charge not fair at all. Service was awful, when a wait staff comes to your table after 1 minute of sitting and says, "what do you want?" That is simply RUDE. No so busy when we went around 7 p.m. overall not recommending this place.

Well, if you're stuck waiting for a Viva bus, and you want a beer, and there's nothing else around...anyway, that's why I went in. The place is gorgeous on the outside and inside. I imagine the patio must be great in the summer. Yonge Street is close by, but Canadians become immune to carbon monoxide is summer because we throng to any outoor space, and rhe patio is further back than many downtown Toronto patios. The vibe inside is "moneyed gastropub". Glass and wood and UK heritage. The menu is huge, so a bit of a red lag, and more like a chain pub than a gastropub. FIghting off my PTSD from the last time I ordered a non-deep fried fish from a pub, I ordered the salmon with a side of mashed potatoes. The server seemed a bit nervous, so I ran down my mental checklist. Shaved in the morning? Check. Showered? Check. Wearing clothes? Check. However, she was efficient, so no real complaints. The salmon arrived with a surprisingly nice presentation. It didn't smell like fish, so my PTSD subsided. It was a bit bland at the start, but as I got further in, the seasoning on top were quite pleasent. The peppers underneath were from frozen, and the mashed potatoes were from flakes, but it wasn't bad. Prices were at the level of any GTA gastropub. I imiagine this place is really popular with the locals, especially in summer. I can't say it's a destination, though, as there are so many pubs with the same design choices and vibe to choose from, and some have limited menus to focus on what the chef does best. But, if you're stuck at that bus stop and want a beer, I'd recommend it!

Thornhill Pub is a great place to hang out, especially in the summer. The patio is gorgeous and spacious, and it often has wonderful live music in the summer evenings. The selection of alcoholic drinks is also great; however, the food is quite bland (and overpriced), which I absolutely do not recommend. The services have been friendly. Go to Thornhill pub for a good time, drink and music. Not the food.

Very poor service. Waitress wasn't very kind. Food was awful. Spicy shrimp should have said "salty". At least they gave it to us free. It was not on the whole a good experience.

Thornhill pub has a cozy and lively atmosphere with live music on Fri / Sat. The fajitas were fantastic, enjoyed with a pint of Stella and Keith's amber. Our server was exceptional, food came out quickly, no complaints, would come back!

This place's owners have no right being in the restaurant or bar business. It's only saving grace is that it's the only pub in miles. Otherwise everything is wrong. They can't even get the draft beer right. I ordered Goose Island IPA and got what seemed to be a Coors light. I explained to the child bartender that this was not an IPA and she then checked the keg saying it was Goose Island. It was not and other patrons agreed. I won't describe the food in detail, just know that it's frozen crap that they don't even know how to reheat.

Got seated then nobody came to take our order. Had to get up and go ask a server to come to our table. She seemed annoyed by that. Beer menu is meh, no ciders available though last I checked it's 2024. Got the drink order incorrect (only three drinks). Menu is particularly lack-lustre and we ended up not ordering food, paying for the drinks and heading elsewhere. Oh yeah, no paper towels in the mens room at 7pm on a Saturday night? Like, come on, folks... Could easily be a nice place but nah.

It was Mother's day dinner time, and we had just finished watching End Game. Game 7 of the Raptors' playoffs against the 76ers was going to begin soon and we were starving. We needed a place to dine at but also a place that would play the game while we dined so naturally, we stumbled into here. I, personally, had never been here before but had read many reviews of the place. I am glad we ended up here, because the value for the amount you pay is amazing! [Chicken Fingers] $12.99 - this dish comes with 5 chicken fingers on a bed of fries. My goodness, this is such a giant portion. I barely managed to finish half of it before asking for a take out box to take it home! The chicken fingers are delicious, as are the fries. My favorite part about good fries is when they reheat well in the toaster oven. These fries were delicious when they were first brought out, but were almost equally as delicious after being reheated! YUM. It comes with ranch or plum sauce, and as I've never taken to plum sauce, I asked for ranch. [Onion Rings] $6.99 - THESE ARE FREAKING DELICIOUS! This is also a huge portion, perfect for sharing, but also if you'd like, you can dine on these bad boys, all by yourself. They're probably the best onion rings I've ever had, in all honesty. Given the quality, and the portions of the food, I would 100% come back again if it was just based on that one factor. The glaring problem I keep coming back to, is the lack of service. It was nearly impossible to get our waitress's attention after the initial ordering which is a problem. I'd consider giving this place one more chance because I really enjoyed the food and atmosphere!
