Wow! Just Wow! A family owned and operated banquet facility capable of hosting larger functions of 600 people or intimate functions for 70 people. We celebrated our wedding ceremony and reception at the westmount event centre on Saturday November 24, 2018. It was the most amazing day of our lives! We chose the. Westmount Event Centre after having scoped out several different banquet halls within the greater Toronto area. All the banquet halls we visited seemed to be lacking something for us, whether it be the staff, the atmosphere, the menu or the venue itself. We were getting frustrated, we had to pick someplace to accommodate our wedding but we didn't really LOVE anything we saw. My husband's brother got married at this venue 12 years ago when it was ran under different owners and called La Gondola. We figured we would check it out, after all we had nothing to loose, we we're exhausted at looking around and not finding anything that quite felt right to us. We made an appointment on line to meet with someone from The Westmount Event Centre to discuss wedding packages and the minute we came through the doors to meet with the representative, we were greeting by the most warm and sincere person named Rahul. Rahul and his family along with wonderful, dedicated and loyal employees are the heart and soul of the westmount event centre. In every aspect of their daily operation, their love of hospitality of event planning is very apparent. The food was absolutely incredible and just kept coming, the staff was prompt with serving entree's, the banquet hall was clean and very easy to access with lots of free parking. We would highly recommend this venue to anyone requiring an ultimate banquet hall experience. Your event will be flawless as ours was. We got married June 23, 2019 at Westmount Event Centre. What was supposed to be one a special day to remember, has turned into a nightmare of embarrassment; as the owners significantly over promised and under delivered the services that were offered and especially on the quality and quantity of food! In trying to resolve the issues with the owner in a fair way and in a quiet manner, the owners have had no integrity in follow up (kept promising to call and never did and only responded after multiple messages sometimes as many as 6), which has resulted in more anxiety and stress to my family and I, and why we are now posting this complaints on multiple social media platforms to share how traumatic my wedding has become. After over 8 reassurances that there will be plenty of food, over 40 of our guests left by 9:15 as they were starving and were not being served food from 6:00 pm when the reception started. VERY LITTLE TO NO appetizers were served. I personally had to ask the wait staff 3x for appetizers in the bridal suite and received less than half of what we ordered to be served to our guests. Not even close to be considered good service. We ordered the "Mezza Salad" platter from the banquet hall as a starter before the main course. It seemed the family side of the room received 3-4 of the promised salads with NO bread. I, the groom at the head table had to ask the staff 4 times to get the Mezza salads, get refills on the water bottles and requested bread several time. When the head table is not cared for it shows how little effort was done to go above and beyond and how many corners were cut in my opinion. The entire family side of the room or about 100 complained to me after the wedding that there was little to no Middle Eastern variety at their table. You can imagine how embarrassing and frustrating that is to my family. The wait staff served the kids meals after everyone else failing to understand that kids should be served first not after 9 pm! Furthermore, some of the guests had food allergies and the wait staff was extremely rude and refused to make any modifications to what was being served. To add to this, the 8 Kosher meals that were ordered from an outside Caterer were not served until between 9:30 to 9:45 and each meal was NOT served properly and was an hour after everyone else received their meal. When my guest tried to ask questions, they were yelled at by the servers. This ineptitude, continued with the 14 vegetarian meals, where the wait staff kept trying to serve them chicken or steak, not listening to every guest emphasize they were vegetarian. The lack of food was an EPIC FAIL for Westmount and has resulted in continued complaints and embarrassment to my family. Other issues included: a steak that was extremely over cooked and way too salty, even though we told the owners to cook the steak medium. What was served at our wedding was cheap meat that was half the size we expected and tasted horrible. The Salmon, which was the ONLY properly made meal of the entire night. The chicken that was served was the size of a chicken wing. So far, other than the Salmon all food provided by Westmount was a DISASTER and did not come close to the standard of extra! It seemed my guests had to wait 15 to 20 minutes for any request to be completed even something as simple as can we get more water at the table. The owners of Westmount Event Hall put out a beautiful dessert bar spread. We asked for a chocolate fountain and paid extra. We requested Dark or milk chocolate and got white chocolate. This extra, turned out to be a big waste of money as the wrong product was delivered. The owner promised to refill the dessert bar at last once and that was never done.Thank god the DJ kept everyone dancing and excited as Wesmount Event Hall failed to deliver on promises and feed my guests properly. I will NEVER recommend Westmount Event Hall and am sharing this experience in hopes of helping others avoid experiencing the same trauma, pain and anxiety my family is experiencing.

We enjoyed a wonderful night at this establishment on February 15, 2019. The service was excellent, Indian cuisine plentiful and very tasty. The washrooms were immaculate and the physical state of the establishment quite satisfactory. The staff were amicable and efficient, the owner/manager, Mr. Joseph welcoming. Recommended.

Was not impressed with this place, The parking lot was full and the staff was encouraging people to park in front of side doors. I ended up slipping on their floor, it was a rainy day I was walking in and slipped they had no carpets out nor did they have wet floor signs out. I found out that someone else had fallen before me, Near the end of my time they finally put out rugs and wet floor signs. I would not recommend this place
