rode, arrogant and disorganized service. we walked in with no signs indicating where to order and waited around for five minutes with no server to sit us down, resulting in us ordering from the product cashier instead. We asked TWICE to confirm if we could sit the the dinner area to enjoy our meal and the cashier repeated confirmed. However, when we sat down, the sever abruptly interrupted us and asked us to move. Basically kicking their own customers out to make space for other customers. is that not clear discrimination? we payed the same amount, more effort and was even willing to tip, yet the store deem and treat us less than other customers. They dared to blame us for not knowing even though there were no signs or other informations written. worst experience dinning out. ruined our day with their shit attitude.

Who new I could get a kimmel rye here. I've been looking for a place that sells this bread. The place I used to go changed bakeries and I didn't like it. The bead I bought here today was beyond exceptional. I don't want to drive 25 km to get this bread but I will if I have to.

I found myself in What a Bagel Eatery after arriving to originally dine at Cafe Landwer shortly before 11AM on a Sunday. Cafe Landwer's Yelp waitlist doesn't open untill 11AM but by the time my boyfriend had stepped into the restaurant to ask about wait times, he was quoted a 90 minute wait..... I put us on the Yelp wait list just to see what would happen but we had decided our time and money would be better of spent elsewhere. THIS is why we decided our money and time was spent better somewhere else like at the eatery of What a Bagel just next door. When you first step in, you may believe to just be the bakery of your dreams at first but if you like to your right, you'll see a cozy little restaurant area. We were quoted a half an hour wait after the hostess took my name down which gave us time to take a look around the store. They have so much to offer! From bagels of all varieties, mini croissants, cheesecakes, homemade soups, varying cream cheeses and so much more! You'll just have to stop by and see for yourself. My boyfriend and I were seated within 15 minutes and service was great! My boyfriend's coffee was topped up multiple times and our orders were done just right. I ordered the "latka salmon benedict," and my goodness, you'll regret it if you don't order it too! This was literally my dream brunch dish :O [Latka Salmon Benedict] $13.99 - poached eggs served on potato latkas that have been smeared with dill cream cheese and slices of smoked salmon. Holy moly, never did I ever think dill cream cheese and smoked salmon would be good together but I have changed my mind completely. I would eat this on the daily if I could. Just out of curiosity, I kept my boyfriend and me on the waiting list at Cafe Landwer while we were eating. I'm not even exaggerating when I say we were finished our meal, and still only 10th on the wait list for there. Go to the What a Bagel Eatery instead if you're in the area and not about waiting over an hour and a half to POSSIBLY get a seat at Cafe Landwer! I highly recommend it :D

Variety of baked sweets open on display on shelves. There are bagels to select in the back and basic sandwiches, salads and drinks to order at the cash. We got half a dozen of mix bagels and they literally were just scooped out of the oven... so fresh! There were only 2 people in front of us in line, but it was a long wait to cash out. The lady doesn't seem very happy but was just doing her job. I was surprised that the bagels had sprinkled salt on top, I found that strange and it made it more like a pretzel. The texture was more like bread; fluffy and bun like instead of a chewy dense Montreal-style bagel. But the cheese boureka was delicious and flaky! Quality: average Service: sub average Ambiance: eh

Back at it again for my rainbow bagel! It was quite business in store around 8:30 am. I mean, the dining area was pretty empty with only one couple sitting in, but the small area for grab n' go was buzzing! I walked into the store to see at least 2-3 customers and after requesting my bagel, I look behind me to see another 2-3 people had come in after me. I did appreciate that everyone tried to keep their distance though. The man behind me was actually 1-2 m away + to be honest, I find that doesn't always happen around this area. Thankfully, with the busy store, staff and were quite efficient. The lady who made my bagel into a sandwich with jalepeno cream cheese + lox was clearly very new but this also meant she had more attention to detail. I actually got the right cream cheese this time! Which tends to be missed every other visit.

Cool spot with lotsa options to choose from.. I usually go there for breakfast, or sometimes grab a quick freshly baked loafs, cakes or baked goods from there... Service can improve a little and prices might be on the higher side for a tiny bit. They are always extremely busy, so it's always best to go in quick and out the door, it is also best to avoid rush-hours after work, it gets too loud and you'll get pushed around if you stand there thinking what to buy. The omelets are great here, the cinnamon buns and the banana loaves are soo good!!

I think it's implied that these guys have very tasty bagels. Especially, when they're toasted with cream cheese...mmm They offer a decent breakfast menu, perfect for those lazy Saturday mornings when you want to go out for breakfast. This morning, I tried their mushroom omelette with goat cheese, salad, and toasted sesame bagel with cream cheese. While the vinegar salad dressing was rather unpleasant, everything else was tasty. I wish they used portobello mushrooms instead of white cremini mushrooms in their omelettes though. Service was good too. No complaints in that department. Overall, I like their breakfast/brunch selection, as well as their wide selection of pastries and cookies. There's plenty of competition on this plaza with Aroma and Cafe Landwer - both great alternatives for breakfast and brunch. What a Bagel holds up to these other places quite well IMHO. I definitely recommend this What a Bagel location as a breakfast venue, but Aroma and Cafe Landwer are also great options.

What a Bagel's Bagel is A-OK.. better than Tim Horton. There are 2 areas, one is set up like a bakery with cookies, bread, bagels and made to order sandwiches to go. The other area is more like a sit down restaurant serving light sandwiches for lunches and breakfasts. The Breakfast Bagel ($6.99) with home fries was quite good.. bagel toasted crispy on the outside and soft and chewy inside. Coffee ($1.99) was not fresh... doesn't matter how many cream I add in, it is still bittery dark... hmmmmm The decoration is quite comfortable and overlooking the parking lot... But why that 1 star?? The waitress is one of the rudest one I have... after I asked for my bill.. I just want to finish my coffee.. and then she trying to make me leave so a group of 5 ladies can use my single table while half of the tables in the restaurant is empty.. I asked are you trying to kick me out.. she told me yes... WTF is this?

I have mixed feelings about this place. I came here for the bagels, and they were fresh. Bought a twister (cheese boureka) and near the inside of the rolled twister (middle) tasted raw and the filo undercooked taste and texture. Cashier service was brusque. I erroneously reviewed the wrong location earlier on Yelp - which I have since deleted. This is the correct location. The bagels here are good, which is why I went in in the first place.
