Nous étions un groupe de professionnels de 130 personnes. Le personnel au bar et au service des gens sont ... assez désagréables. Ils ont été insultés qu on demande à nettoyer une table ... et comme c était taché, ils ont refusés de changer la nappe sous prétexte que le prix était pour cela seulement ... pitoyable ! Aussi, ils servent de l alcool mais ne ramasse pas les tables de bières vides. Nous somme en bateau donc pas une bonne idée de laisser traîner les " corps morts " selon un membre de l équipe .... Nous ne sommes pas sur un bateau de luxe. Je ne crois pas que de ramasser des poubelles avec 130 personnes soit un luxe. Quelle aragance ... je ne recommande pas cette endroit

We booked online the navette fluviale for 2 adults and 1 child between Pointe aux Trembles and Montreal Old Port, leaving at 10am and returning at 4pm on a Saturday. Cost is $3.50 pp + $1.00 per bike which is not unreasonable. The cost of a return ticket is almost the cost of a car park in downtown Montreal, and you get all the fun of the boat ride, plus biking around downtown fairly easily, as there are lots of bike paths. I understand that this is a pilot project, so that there are not an abundance of departure times. But hey, this is a business, like any businesses, that needs to assess viability and profitability. The boat which has a capacity of about 40, was fully booked both ways. Service was great, and the staff would load and unload bicycle. It is a matter of planning your trip well, as you do need to arrive, ideally 10 mins in advance, both going and coming back. The trip takes just under an hour, from start to getting back on your bike. Totally recommend.

Pleasant cruise, complete lack of safety protocol. First off, we did enjoy our cruise. It was a pilot program cruise out of St. Anne de Bellevue. We paid $40 for a 2 hour cruise, but it actually was only 1-1/2 hours, probably due to the problems described here. To start, we couldn't get through to Navark's office after repeated attempts at various times of day, and left a message. We called back two days later and got someone. They said they were too busy answering the phone to call us back. Not very stellar customer service. If the business is that successful, they should hire some extra help. When we arrived, we heard that our captain had been seriously injured by slicing her arm while cutting a mooring line. They were in the process of mopping up the blood. Here is where it got scary. The sole crew member was taking zero safety precautions with blood cleanup. They never once opened up a first aid kit or put on gloves to deal with the blood, despite being advised to by a nurse who was a passenger. She was cleaning the captain's blood off of the knife with her bare hands. Then the customers were endangered when the crew member offered a hand to help people board, having never washed her hands with any antiseptic. Admittedly, they may have been shaken up by the serious injury that occurred. But there is obviously zero safety training by the management team at Navark. They have no idea how to deal with a medical emergency safely, and endangered themselves and more importantly customers in the process. We will be reporting this to safety authorities. The replacement captain arrived and we swiftly got underway. At one point, the captain was photographed on a cell phone while navigating a busy area - see picture. I'll give him the benefit of doubt that he was checking on his seriously injured captain. Still, public transport operators should never be on their cell phones when the safety of passengers is at risk. The cabin had no screened windows and we had a choice of being baked in the cabin, or to stand outside most of the time. If they had a bathroom, it wasn't marked or announced. Half of the seats were flimsy plastic chairs that bend when sitting - see picture, and are very uncomfortable and not anchored to the floor - which I consider unsafe for a moving vehicle. The safety announcement was given in French only - not very friendly. Apparently Anglo lives are worthless to them. Someone had to ask to have them announce it in English, and that annoucement was super short compared to the French one. Please note that over half of the passengers were speaking English. This is no way to treat over half of your paying customers. All of the recorded narration was also only in French - again, not very friendly. The survey passed around at the end was also only in French - not very friendly. Apparently Anglo opinions don't matter. So, despite being a good cruise, I won't be spending my Anglo dollars with this line in the future.
