The rooms were spacious and had separate rooms for the toilet and shower in my room. The bed was very comfortable and I had a nice large window to view the rest of the city. The location was perfect since it was a close walk to most sites. The pool and hot tub were great amenities I took advantage of and the outdoor deck to overlook the city. The staff were friendly and the room was very clean. There is a restaurant in the lobby but I did not eat there.

I recently stayed here for a few nights. I was in town for a work event and then I stayed a couple of extra days on my own. The hotel was very nice. I had a nice big room with a comfy bed. Decent bathroom. I ate in the hotel restaurant, the Palm, twice and had good dinners. The first night I sat at the bar and had a burger and fries. Montreal does know how to do burgers. It was yummy. Fries were good too. On my last night, I had the prosciutto pizza. It was huge and I could not eat it all. It had all my favorite toppings. Really liked the balsamic glaze on top. The hotel staff was helpful and friendly. The location is great. Easy walking distance to lots of attractions and restaurants.

I chose the AC ultimately because it has self parking. But it ended up being a good choice for a first visit to Montreal. The location is good, the rooms are nice, and we could park the car ourselves, a big help after a long drive. It seemed like most hotels in downtown Montreal had valet as the only parking option. Since we were driving to town, I didn't love the idea of being tethered to a valet schedule. Here's the only thing to know about self parking: you have to check in first. The garage door is tied to your room key. The garage entrance is in an alley off to the side of the hotel and is kind of awkward to get to. I had to get out of the car to activate the door with my key. Not a huge deal, but something to keep in mind. When you check in, you'll also get a parking tag, keep that in sight while your car is at the hotel. After, you can just go right up to your room from the elevators. We got a room with two queens since that was all that was available for our reservation. Not a huge deal overall. Really, the only annoying thing about the room is the frosty glass sliding door on the bathroom. At least this time the designers didn't set things up so you can see silhouettes on the toilet, just the shower this time! In all seriousness, this is the type of room where you want to know the other person at a level where you're ok with the other person seeing your silhouette in the shower through the frosty door. The hotel has decent amenities. The room had bottles of water in the fridge (that wasn't the coldest fridge I've ever used) and robes with all of the usual linens. Most notably, your pool towels are in your room in a drawer of the open closet setup. Remember this before you head up to said pool on the 12th floor. There's something to be said about a pool with a view in the evening. Since you're near a ton of walkable streets and sights, you'll want to take advantage of that 12th floor hot tub when your feet decide you're just done beyond done. When our trip was over, we knew we'd want to visit Montreal again and when we do, I'll remember the AC. As long as they keep self parking, they'll be on our shortlist for our next trip. There's just too much to do in town to wait for the valet.

The hotel itself is nice, not the best in montreal but i would say renovated and nice. The parking is challenging. But the reason behind my 1 star is the customer service. Where do i start with? The receptionists and the supervisors are arrogant and unprofessional. I stayed multiple time at this hotel and my perception didn't change. Once i called to cancel a reservation due to a canceled flight, the receptionist asked for the flight number lol. I stay in hotels all over the world but this one made me laugh so hard. Don't ask for a dental kit, they are cheap on that. They will tell you they placed an order but that order is never there. To add on top of all this, they provide undetailed receipts where you can't see the taxes on them.

Lovely Retreat in Downtown Montreal I don't know where to start w/ this art deco, Boho Chic, classy, comfortable, immaculately clean, well lighted hotel. It's conveniently located and walkable to Chinatown, Old Montreal, Old Port, restaurants, shopping, underground subway and the Metro. Their staff from front desk, spa and bar are professional and very helpful. Love the chocolates given w/ turndown service. My only negative is the restaurant does not offer chicken or fish (salmon, shrimp, etc) or soups for none beef, pork or pate fans. Breakfast was meh and basically bland, but w/ so many restaurants close, that's not a huge faux pas. Had a lovely long US Thanksgiving Weekend. Thx Marriott! Nice job..

Good location on Rene Levesque near Place Desjardins. Easy walking distance to old Montreal and Place Ville Marie. Well maintained with bar, laundry room, exercise room, library area in lobby. Our room was clean and in good order with coffee maker nice toiletries, robe, television and good WiFi. There's a good work area as well. Layout is a bit unusual with shower entrance directly off the room, same for toilet. Sink and mirror are in the room. Better suited for individual traveler. Staff are helpful.

I loved my stay at this hotel and would book here again. You can walk almost anywhere in 10-20 minutes or less! Old Montreal, downtown (shopping on St Catherine), McGill, Concordia, museums, restaurants and bars are all at your doorstep. Parking is about $35 a night. Rooms are spacious and clean! The pool on the 12th floor is beautiful, the sauna is great and the hot tub. Beautiful views of the city. There is a nice gym too. I believe the hotel opened 4 years ago; it is modern. Bathroom door is glass and doesn't lock; so some may not like that feature. Otherwise, no complaints! You may hear some street noise when sleeping as you are right above a busy street, but if you don't mind traffic noise, then it won't faze you. This hotel is all about the location; it could not be better! All Montreal has to offer is right at your doorstep.

Great great location, close to all the major tourist attractions within 5-15 minutes walk, next to subway, underground walkway, and art district. Pool is on the 12 floor, had Steam room, warm tub and big swim pool, kids had enjoyed here quite a bit. Excellent service and staff. As is so close to downtown, there will be bit of noisy, if you don't sleep well with noise, bring all the essentials.

While overall the hotel was fine, I had an absolutely terrible experience around payment. I booked a room for my friend Stephanie (in the Bonvoy app) that I wanted to pay for. When she checked in they said she had to provide a physical card for payment. I wasn't there so she put down her own card. I called and asked them to use my card instead, but I was told no, you need to provide a physical card. Ok. Annoying, because the only reason the hotel does this is to get lower card processing fees. But whatever. So I swung by the front desk and provided my card, specifying to the receptionist that it should be used for the hotel and any incidentals. Everything seemed fine. But then a few days after checking out Stephanie notices that her card was actually charged for the room. Not just a hold - the full room charge was on her card. Both of us called the hotel to point out the mistake. And all we got was dismissive skepticism. The receptionist kept telling me they had no record of anyone coming by to change the card. I assured her that I had. Then she said she couldn't help us because - here it is again - she couldn't take a card over the phone. I said look, we're in a bind here. This is your mistake. How are you going to fix this? And she just kept saying it's our policy, it's our policy. She refused to refund Stephanie's card. Not only that, she implied I was lying about ever coming to the front desk, saying they would need to check the video surveillance footage. Like give me a break, I'm literally trying to give you money! Finally I gave up. I guess now I will just have to pay Stephanie back for her room charge, which isn't super east because she lives in Canada and I live in the US. Thanks for nothing, AC Montreal.

Great hotel. Was exceptionally clean and well maintained. Due to covid the lobby restaurant is closed but that's not a huge deal. Staff was very nice. The hotel has awesome views from the rooftop pool area. It's centrally located minutes from old montreal and the business district. The rooms are extremely clean and well maintained. Have nothing negative to say. It is a different feel in AC hotels they are very modern looking and have a simple elegant feel. For some in montreal this may not be the vibe you're going for. However I've stayed in hotels all over the city and this is one of the cleanest and well kept.
