Chung Chun is a popular Korean hot dog restaurant located in the heart of Chinatown, Montreal. Nestled in Chinatown which is near downtown Montreal, it was HOPPIN!!! There was hardly any room inside to stand in line! We ordered two corn dogs. 1. Double fromage with garlic butter and sweet Mayo - the white cheese was DELICIOUS!!! It had half of a dog on the bottom half with cheddar cheese. My favorite part was the top half. The sauces were the perfect combo!! 2. Ramen croquant with chipotle and spicy Mayo in side - live the crunch!!! I added chipotle sauce bc its good sauce but it threw off the entire flavor. The part of the corn dog where I dipped into spicy Mayo was very good!! I highly recommend the spicy Mayo Overall - both corn dogs hit the spot!! Both were crunchy and flavorful. Only one suggestion - the hot dog itself (the meat) could be of higher quality like "all-beef" and then for sure 5 stars!!

Small Korean pogo place. In short, it's pogo that you add some stuff on it like cheese, fries, pop corn chicken, potatoes, etc. Is it good? Yes it is. But it's still. A 8$ pogo which is really not cheap. Everything is freshly prepared and handmade and it shows in the taste. Once your order is ready, you can select to add sauces and seasoning on them. There's a lot of choice here. All in all. It's good but not cheap. It's a grab and go place.

Evening snack just to compare this to the ones in Los Angeles. These are ok but not a lot of shops to choose from. Service was ok, considering they just have to fry up the dogs. Not somewhere I will come back to while I'm here in Canada. You can skip and find something else to try.

Korean Hot Dogs always seem to be just out of my grasp as if I go to a place, there is a reason why they're not available. So when I found Chung Chun, where all they sell is Korean Hot Dogs when I was walking around Chinatown, I was excited to try. I got the #4, the fried potato covered dog with ketchup, sweet mayo and sugar, because why not? It was really good and very filling. The sugar was a choice I made. I don't think I would get sugar if I tried again. The restaurant was for mostly take out. There was some counter space against the window and 1 round high top table but there were no chairs, it's standing room only. I ended up taking my dog back to my hotel which was nearby, but there are some benches outside on the street that you can also sit at to enjoy and people watch.

A hole in the wall establishment which is very small inside, but definitely worth checking out! It was busy when my fiancé and I went, but not terrible after we got there and order the restaurant got slammed. There is little to no indoor dining seating and it is cramped, but the food is so good! There were so many options to choose from between which type of Korean dog you would like from meat, vegetarian, vegan, and dessert and then you have a bunch of topping choices to add. My fiancé got the #1 Chungchun (Kogo Coréen Original) With Ketchup, Chipotle Sauce, and Mayo and I got the #4 Kogo Simplement Mozzarella with Sugar, Parmesan, Ketchup, and Spicy Mayo. His was a hotdog, but mine was mozzarella. They were both extremely delicious and it is a must-go to in Montréal for a quick bite on the go!

I randomly found Chung Chun during a stroll through Chinatown. The photos displayed on the outside window brought me. Specialty corn dogs?! Heck yes! It's up a small flight of stairs and is very simple. There's no special decor, no chairs or tables, and the prices are different on all of the posters and tv screen. However, you'll notice very quickly that it doesn't matter, Chung Chun is popular based on the amount of customers going in and out. There is quite the selection of corn dogs ranging from savory to sweet and in between. I ordered the ramen corndog and my husband ordered the volcano. We waited about 15 minutes and we're called to come choose the sauces for our massive corn dogs. He chose teriyaki and I chose sweet chili and spicy mayo. We sat outside across from the Chinese temple and enjoyed our choices. Did I say my husband actually hates corn dogs/hot dogs? Not here. He loved it! I would definitely come back here again.

Forget corndogs, these newfangled korean hotdogs are where it's at. Service was decently quick though we had to wait outside due to space limitations. There's lots of options on the menu, including non meat options and even a dessert option. The coatings range from chewy rice flour based to potato crusted and even ramen noodles. Pretty nifty. My favourite is still the rice flour coating. The sausages are nice and meaty and they also have a large array of sauces you can get drizzled on. They handed our orders to us in a paper boat so I'm not sure how conducive it would be to travelling as takeout, but we just ate ours while walking. It's nice as a quick snack/meal and they are quite filling and easy to eat on the go. I'd stop by again if I'm feeling peckish and in the area.

We stopped in here on a whim while walking by. We walked up a small flight of stairs and were immediately greeted. There were two customers waiting when we had walked in, and our food was ready maybe 10 minutes after we ordered. I was surprised at how mild the volcano dog was, and the ramen dog was actually much spicier with the addition of spicy mayo. The place quickly filled up while we were waiting so it's obviously a popular spot. I'd definitely go back and try a different dog next time.

I was hype to try this place for the first time but i was met with disgust pretty quickly! We paid 40$ for what we got (which isn't the issue) not even 2 mins after ordering. We see a HUGE RAT running accros the kitchen! The 2 employees working tried to act as if they didn't see it but not even 20 seconds after the rat ran accros the kitchen again so they couldn't ignore it this time. Both employee simply started laughing & made light of the situation. Tried to convince us that it's normal & that the food is still safe to eat. Nothing was offered as a gesture to apologize for the inconvenience. again they simply kept laughing despite us being concerned. Won't go back!
