TL;DR/The Short Version: Tiny Korean restaurant with amazing food. We loved the variety of items in the combos. The Long Version: My husband and I had dinner here. We ordered a Combo 1 ($17.99) and a Combo 2 ($19.99) and shared everything. The variety of items we tried with just these 2 combos was amazing. Combo 1 consisted of: Tteokbokki with boiled egg and kimchi, a rice cake skewers, a rice cake and hotdog skewer, 2 deep fried dumplings, 2 onion rings, a gimmari (deep fried seaweed roll stuffed with sweet potato noodles), 3 strips of fried fish cake, 2 shrimp chips and fries. Combo 2 consisted of: 2 flavours of Korean fried chicken, kimchi fries and coleslaw. The kimchi fries were fries, kimchi, beef bulgogi, cheese, green onions and sauces. Where do I even start? The Korean fried chicken was crispy on the outside and juicy and tender on the inside. One type was in a red sauce and the other was in a yellow sauce. Both were excellent. The kimchi fries were epic. We couldn't finish it. So rich and over the top, lol. But delicious. I was pleasantly surprised to find beef bulgogi in it. The coleslaw was refreshing, but too small a portion. I would have preferred more coleslaw and less kimchi fries, lol. The coleslaw was vinegar based, my favourite type, and not yucky mayo based, haha. The tteokbokki was great. The rice cakes were soft and chewy. The kimchi was tasty and not too pungent. The fried rice cake skewers were dense and chewy. Everything else in the combo was also good. We felt really full and bloated afterwards though because the meal was very high carb and high fat. Lol. Not an everyday type of meal for sure. Haha. No regrets though because it was delicious! We requested no sesame seeds on our food and they accomodated our request. There were some rogue sesame seeds in the fries of Combo 1 and on the fried fish cakes. Luckily I can tolerate some contamination. Staff were courteous. The food did take a bit longer than expected, but the wait was worth it. The space is very small. The largest group they can accomodate is 4 and there is just one table of four. There's bar seating for 6 if you don't mind that your whole party is sitting in a row, lol. The whole restaurant seats 14. Decor is cute and is rabbit-themed since Toki is rabbit in Korean. We walked there from our hotel, but if you're coming by car it's street parking only, and good luck with that. Haha. It's not far from Guy-Concordia Metro if you're coming by public transit. Cosy Korean spot with a bench facing the window and a few tiny tables. Everything inside is pinkish and there's stuffed bunnies for decor. The food arrived very quickly but we were the only folks there. They didn't bring any napkins and promptly disappeared after bringing the food. Good place for a quick bite to eat. I ordered a bowl of gangjung with the sweet & spicy sauce and spicy mayo on rice. There's a tiny bit of lettuce underneath.
