We have ordered in on a Monday Night, and it was quite disappointing. The good: Chicken Fried Rice was good. Vegetables were good. Chow mein was tasty also. The bad: General Tao chicken was dry and had no sauce with it. Peanut butter dumplings were not hot and barely had any sauce with them. The experience was disappointing. Other family members, who had this before, said it is usually better. This was my first time. Everything was dry and felt like leftovers from the night before. Will go back to General Tao on Taschereau.

the worst attention in all my life I went on a good Saturday, we arrived for lunch and we were attended by a girl reluctantly, when she gave us the letter it was almost thrown away, and when I told her that I did not understand what she wanted to tell me but I told him in a good way., she responded with a horrible attitude, honestly I do not know why I did not leave that place, the food is not bad but it is not good, but the attitude of the one who attends is horrible, I do not recommend ever going to have bad experiences, I lasted weeks thinking because I did not leave that place when I saw that horrible attitude.

Since like 1950 this place has been good quality reasonably priced and consistent as well as very clean.

UPDATE #2 (no pun intended!) They open their doors again and things are pretty much the same. Sadly, no all-you-can-eat buffet. I think they really missed out on a opportunity here. Here's the rundown of my first dining experience in the remodeled (i.e. new chairs and tables) eatery... Hot-Sour Soup: I was impressed by the very large portion. Much larger than the cup size that is served at most similar places. Kung Pao Chicken ($7 Lunch Special): Boring. No spice. Chicken was not breaded & fried (that's half the fun of this dish, am I right?) At least the peanuts are no longer rancid like they were before the remodel. Also, I would gladly pay an extra dollar to have a fried spring roll automatically included (it only comes with rice). Water: Moldy tasting (again!) Fortune Cookie: Stale and not crispy. Not individually wrapped in plastic so who knows where this thing had been and who had touched it. For some reason, the fortune paper strip was greasy, making it hard to read because the French and English texts were both visible due to the way grease makes paper turn clear. CONCLUSION: Use this place if you forget to bring your lunch to work and are tired of the Subway down the street.

We ordered delivery. The woman on the phone taking orders was extremely rude and almost hung up before we were able to finish ordering. It took an hour and a half for the food to be delivered. Delivery guy was not wearing a mask. It was the wrong order. The "food" was not edible... we threw most of it in the compost. Called to complain about getting the wrong order and she yelled at us and argued that we were wrong. Will never order food from this place again. Ever.

I'd say the food is good when you don't feel like cooking. It's totally comfort food restaurant! I recommend to order to go since inside the restaurant has basic ambiance.. don't go there expecting high quality of costumer service... you won't even get a "hello"

This owner is so disrespectful- I ordered vegetarian spring rolls and they gave me chicken after I haven't eaten meat in 7 years. It made me sick I called them back to complain, and they told me that it's impossible it never happened. They wouldn't make a mistake like that I am so disgusted with them I'd never in my life order again.

DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME ! It is the 3rd time we order with them. Wanted to give them the benefit of the doubt, hoping 3rd time is a charm... sadly this is not the case. We have gotten the worst service!! 2 hours waiting for delivery!! I was told it would be here in 30mins to 1 hour to get the delivery and when I called back after the 2 hour wait I was told that they were very busy and there was nothing they could do. Worst restaurant. SAVE YOUR TIME AND MONEY!!!!

I have been a loyal customer for over 25 years. Usually the food is good, but tonight I ordered for delivery and the food that arrived was inedible. The food was cold and flavorless. It tasted like it was yesterday's food that had been warmed up in the microwave. We contacted the owner and he would not do anything. Will not be ordering from there again.
