We had a fantastic dining experience at Alobar Yorkville. The space is small and has limited seating. Because of this, our dining time felt a bit rushed to accommodate the next reservation, but it was understandable.

From the moment we arrived, the host and staff were warm, welcoming, and friendly. Service was quick and attentive. Every dish we ordered was exceptional—each bite was a delight. The menu is limited, but that makes it easy to try a variety of dishes, especially if dining in a group of 4-5.

However, the cocktails weren’t particularly impressive. On a different note, we loved the washroom setup—very fancy with a luxurious hotel-like layout.

Highly recommend this spot and would love to return! They’ve earned their Michelin recognition for a reason.

We tried Alobar's Valentine's Day menu this year and were left a tad underwhelmed. While there were some highlights (the canapes were delightful), the main course was way too rich for our palette. Service was excellent as expected but given the food, I don't think we would do another fixed menu here.

Always a hit. Banger combo of ambiance, service, drinks & food. Service is warm, welcoming, and attentive. Beverage program is awesome. Wine list matches the energy of the restaurant. Food is approachable while still showcasing technique. Flavours alone will bring you back again and again.

We went on Valentine’s Day special menu.
Overall taste is okay, but the wagyu itself and most main dishes was too oily.
Some of the items were replaced with no cheese, these replacements items were not very well made.

Amazing experience at alobar. We had reservations at a different restaurant in Yorkville for my wife's birthday but they cancelled our reservation and couldn't seat us. So we left and went straight to alobar. We were surprised we could get a seat so quickly considering we didn't have a reservation. The staff was very accommodating and got us seated within 15 minutes. The cocktails were absolutely amazing. We had the mezcal margarita which is was perfect and didn't break the bank. We had the salmon crudo and beef carpaccio to start. Both were amazing and the chefs were so maticulous putting both dishes together. We were seated at the bar where the chef prep station was. For our main we had the striploin medium rare. This was likely the most perfectly cooked steak I've ever had. Perfect marbeling and seasoning. Overall our experience was phenomenal. The staff here was super attentive and we can't wait to go back.
