I kept feeling sick after having this 1 star meal.

Services were overall good. People are attentive but maybe some not with fluent English and weren’t able to describe the ingredients well. We care a lot about the source.

Food- where should I start? The ingredients, portion and meat vs vege are not right balance.

Very strange, almost like a lab level experiment. I’ll attach menu here for you to read. Anyways, hope the chef changes menu soon, or it will scare more people away.

This meal to say the least was very disappointing, especially for the price of USD $140 per person. The quality of your experience will depend on which tasting menu you get on your visit. I don’t recommend this restaurant for your first visit to CDMX as there are better and more affordable options.

The flavors were inconsistent from bite to bite, and this was a pattern observed throughout the dinner. The menu was mainly vegetarian and there didn’t seem to be any continuity from dish to dish. Some dishes lacked flavor and others I were so potent I couldn’t continue eating them after one bite.

The service was overall very good, but at times disorganized and also inconsistent. Some dishes were introduced and explained, while others weren’t. We had several people attending to us, and it was hard to keep up with who was who.

Honorable mention to their desserts, I thought the tlayuda with vanilla and olive oil was very good as well as the higo with agave honey and goat cheese.

Overall, I was expecting a more elevated experience due to their Michelin star award and the price point of the dinner. The flavors, lack of texture throughout some of their dishes and lack of consistency throughout the experience made this a disappointing dinner for my friends and I.

In line with all the other reviews in the last couple of months - we found this place utterly disappointing.

We visited after hearing many positive reviews from our friends, but it appears that sud777 really struggles to deliver a consistent quality of food.

It was Thursday evening and we were the only people in a room, already a warning sign. The whole experience felt very disjointed - Michelin star service, with great attention to detail, while some dishes were either underwhelming or overpowering.

We were served badly seasoned asparagus covered with a toothpaste flavoured jelly. This was followed by an unripe roasted tomato with a hint of vanilla, a combination that just did not work. The foie gras flan with bonito flakes was so powerful that it made it hardly edible. Not to mention the oats and chickpea dessert - again a creative use of these ingredients, but seemed like the kind of experiment that should have stayed in the kitchen. It was very sweet, the textures were interesting, but not particularly enjoyable.

There were other dishes that we found interesting - fish was really well cooked, and grilled endive with grapefruit sauce was really creative.

All the other dishes were just ok, and high quality ingredients in some dishes helped enhance the experience a bit. But sud777 is undoubtedly not worth the price tag.

Furthermore, the staff seemed blind to our experience, not even once asking us if we enjoyed the food.

The dishes were incredibly well prepared and seasoned to perfection. Staff was joyous and made the dinner even more memorable. The milk chocolate cake was a highlight for me with fresh cherries and lavender scented meringue sticks. I had the suckling pig that was a little dry under the skin but still very tasty. Definitely recommend.
