A disappointing bar experience, much like its counterpart, Pizza Felix, with frustratingly slow service. Bar Felix, the latest addition to Pizza Felix, may look trendy, but both the service and drinks were highly underwhelming. It took an absurdly long time to get any attention from the servers, making the experience quite frustrating.

We started with cocktails, which, while aesthetically pleasing, tasted as if they contained little to no alcohol—unfortunately a common theme in many CDMX bars. We switched to beer, which wasn’t listed on the menu; instead, the options were shared by our server. We also ordered a side of fries that were ridiculously expensive for the small portion size, although the spicy sauce that accompanied them was a nice touch.

Feeling hungrier, we decided to try the margherita pizza, hoping for a better experience. Sadly, it was just as disappointing as my initial visit to Pizza Felix. The pizza was thin but had the texture of cardboard with tomato sauce—far from enjoyable. For two beers each, two cocktails, fries, and a pizza, our bill came to nearly $900, which felt steep given the mediocre quality.

Overall, despite giving it another chance, Bar Felix was equally disappointing, mirroring my initial experience at Pizza Felix.

TOURIST TRAP

Nice atmosphere and decent music. Incredibly bad service and overpriced drinks. Ordered a few rounds to taste their stuff but it’s all incredibly basic and not well done.

Rude servers who almost hit our heads with their trays multiple times with no awareness / apology. After the third time we asked them to be careful and were just shrugged off. All cocktails are nothing special yet priced similar to the famed bars in the city. Spend your time and money elsewhere
