By far, one of the best Thai food experiences in Mexico City.

This is definitely an amazing restaurant, truly Thai food. Flavors are amazing. If you are looking for a really good culinary experience, this is it.

Menu has a decent amount of options. Portions are quite good, and the price is OK accordingly.

Staff is very friendly and professional. Reservations are recommended in advance, but if not, they will make an effort to accommodate you.

I must say, this is a Michelin star restaurant, and it is well deserved. I had a great experience, and it is definitely on my list of preferred places to eat.

Yikes! I don’t like giving bad reviews and I tend to just not give a review instead of leaving a bad one, but we had a terrible experience at Galanga. I don’t know how this place has so many good reviews, and I feel like they must be fake. Or we just caught them on a really bad night? The service was horrendous. It took 30 minutes for anyone to come to our table. Then, our meal took over an hour to get to us. We were hoping it would at least be tasty when we got it, but no. Supposedly the chef is from Thailand. We spent 3 weeks in Thailand eating amazing food, and this was not it. My husband peaked in the kitchen while going down to the bathrooms and he said they looked like they were struggling, and it was just a mess. Maybe they just need new staff. On top of it, it’s way overpriced. More expensive than LA. The only reason I gave it a star is because my drink was delicious and the atmosphere was cute. But the bathrooms were not nice, which is usually telling of a restaurant.

This was the BEST meal I have ever had in my life, and I have travelled a lot! Even in Mexico City, where Mexican food is obviously stellar, this stands out as my favorite meal EVER!!! The service is outstanding, the ambiance outstanding, and the food I JUST HAVE NO WORDS! I couldn’t recommend this more, it deserves 10 Michelin stars!

Let’s be clear: Galanga is, without question, the worst Thai restaurant I have ever set foot in—and I’ve experienced Thai cuisine around the world, from the bustling streets of Bangkok to the refined kitchens of Paris. Not only does Galanga serve food that lacks any semblance of authenticity, flavor, or finesse, it has earned a rare distinction in my dining experiences as one of the absolute worst restaurants I have ever visited.

How this establishment found its way onto the Michelin Guide remains an utter mystery, and frankly, it’s a stain on the Michelin name. At Michelin’s supposed level, one would expect a certain standard—a modicum of culinary respect, a whisper of skill, a suggestion that someone in the kitchen actually knows what they’re doing. Yet here, none of that exists. Instead, what you’re treated to is a high-priced, laughable mockery of Thai cuisine, as if someone were cooking based on vague memories of a travel documentary.

The prices are astronomical, farcically high for what you receive. For the privilege of dining at Galanga, you’ll pay a small fortune for food that is, quite literally, inedible. I took one bite, and that was enough to discover that not only was the food flavorless and carelessly prepared, but it actually made me feel nauseous.

To anyone considering this restaurant: avoid it at all costs. There are countless dining options in this world worth your time and money, but Galanga is not one of them. Save yourself the aggravation, and Michelin, it’s time to reconsider how this place ever made the list.

We went twice in one week because our first experience here was so amazing. However, the second time there was a live worm on the garnish of my dish and I didn’t feel great right after the meal which was followed by food poisoning. Seems like this place has good days and bad days, not sure it’s worth the risk.
