My wife and I stayed in this hotel on 2/25 for 6 nights. When checked in , our room had a solvent like smell. We thought it was fresh paint and over time it would go away. The sink had a water leak, we call reception and we were moved to another room. Breakfast was good, Mexican food menu changed every day.
One day we found a small cucaracha, we talked to reception and they had the cleaning service do extra cleaning behind the furniture. We realized that the "solvent' smell on the first room could had been a pesticide. Our room face the street it was noise but not annoying. The location is great, close to many attractions. I would suggest to the management and some receptionist to smile and be cool. From desk personal don't smile, and they seem either not happy or feel above their pay grade.

We stayed in a suite (3 of us) for a week and had a great time! It's an old property with an interesting history, but nicely maintained.  The hotel is in a wonderful location, very close to the Zocalo and other historic sites.  The room was very clean and comfortable, and they provided two bottles of water every day for free.  The staff was really friendly and helpful.  Breakfast was what you would expect at a Hampton Inn, and we enjoyed it several days.  Lots of really great restaurants within walking distance, as well as two downstairs.  We had no complaints and I would recommend this as a good place to stay.

I stayed at Hampton Inn & Suites Mexico City - Centro Historico for two nights in a queen room in late January 2025. I had a positive check-in experience. The hotel is in a historic building and the interiors are typical Hampton Inn by Hilton.

My room was clean, comfortable and functional. I was out sightseeing for most of my stay, so I didn't have issues with noise. The location is great!

This hotel is located in a great location, very close to the historic center. If you are looking for proximity, then this is the place. We stayed here two nights because of its location but were ready to check out the first night. When we arrived at the hotel, they told us there was no running water and said it would be fixed by 5 Am. We had arrived there at 11:00 pm. I asked them what we were supposed to do if we needed to use the bathroom, and they said they would bring a bucket of water. We were tired and were forced to stay there, and I am glad only one of us, a family of four, had to use the bathroom. Once we saw the rooms, I realized that I wouldn't overlook the water situation. The rooms were clean but outdated, and our window had cracked glass. Breakfast was another disappointment. Options were limited, and the lobby was extremely cold, so food items were cold by the time you reached your table. I had a hard time understanding why a Hilton-associated hotel would be so run down, especially since it wasn't that cheap. I figure the location is the reason why most people book here. I will recommend people to look somewhere else or call the hotel directly before booking to make sure basic services such as running water are available at that time.

We stayed here about three years ago an had a very pleasant experience. Not this time.  There are still some very friendly employees here (the concierges for instance), but there are now some very unfriendly ones, including some unsmiling haughty gal at front desk. The rooms are noisy, so be prepared for that. The doors are calibrated to slam loudly, and you can hear from your room (at least the basic rooms) any and all talking in the hallway at all hours.  The property seems to be quite run-down now - not even the most basic maintenance - though the ceiling stained glass is an appealing view from the foyer.  If you want a quiet place to stay in or near the center of the city, there are better choices now.  Oh, and the pillow cases are very rough and uncomfortable.  The breakfast offering was diverse, and yet uniformly awful tasting - the food was cold and undercooked, and most tables were left dirty. The coffee is not drinkable.
